Those wily French bastards

.
Gutless, cheese eating, surrender monkeys, but now we need to add Wily to the insult.

French report calls for burqa ban

A French parliament report has called for a ban on the full Islamic veil in all schools, hospitals, public transport and government offices.

The parliament commission said the burqa is an affront to French values following six months of hearings.

'The wearing of the full veil is a challenge to our republic. This is unacceptable,' the report by a parliament commission said. 'We must condemn this excess.'

The report recommended that women who turn up at government offices wearing the full veil should be denied services such as a work visa, residency papers or French citizenship.

I see how it works, ban some of the basic tenets of their religion of pieces, for the good of the country and they'll leave and go elsewhere. I gotta give it to 'em, they hit this croissant out of the park.
.
I guess all we need to do, is ban burqas, burritos and secular humanism, and America will be saved. Awsome.

I don't know...after centuries of showing no semblance of a backbone, there seems to be some rudimentary gelatinous goo. now...that is progress!

Bill, read it again, with your tongue, in your cheek. There is no goo, there is no brain for that matter.

Did you ever think you'd see the day when the French, THE FRENCH, have more balls than we do? Now of course, we'll take all those Mooselambs in because they're being "persecuted".

It's their country, they can do whatever they want with it, but i can't imagine that a combination of allowing thugs to take over huge portions of their cities and run them as they see fit, and then doing things to piss those thugs off is going to go very well for them. You can't be strong on inconsequential minutia and be weak on security and expect it to not explode in your face.

Do I agree with a burqua ban? No, because it is a direct violation of any tenant of freedom of religion that you can apply.

But if you're going to go all totalitarian asswipe and do something like this, you'd damn sure better have your thumb on the pulse and your finger on the trigger, and the French have neither of these things. To their own peril.

I hope that Muslims raise holy (no pun intended) hell about this, but do so peacefully. We shall wait and see if that is really what happens.
