Compression is Good for the Soul [Brother]

Dan Rather has a new book out.  From what I've heard, he goes on a LOOOOONNNGGG rant about being fired from CBS over standing behind the allegations that George W. Bush didn't finish his Air National Guard Service during the Viet Nam War.
.
In a rare instance the truth won out, and a Liberal and Mainstay of Journalism wound up on the wrong end of the stick.  But there are many out there, like Rather, who still think the Texas ANG story is true.  But is that different than most other stories where liberals get caught with there paw in the cookie jar?
.
A liberal pol or journalist tells a lie, gets caught, stands by their story and little changes for them, or their followers.  The country just goes right on and people look around the 700 pound gorilla in the room.
.
Now, over the last 4 or 5 years, some of Mr. Obumble's back story has changed or has been found to be false, faked, lied about, hidden...whatever terms YOU want to use.  He hardly knew the guy who put him in politics in Chicago, their kids just attended the same school.  His administration would be transparent and above board.  He'd uphold and protect the Constitution...
 .
Well, here's the latest one.
.
One of the more mysterious characters from President Obama's 1995 autobiography Dreams From My Father is the so-called 'New York girlfriend.' Obama never referred to her by name, or even by psuedonym, but he describes her appearance, her voice, and her mannerisms in specific detail.
But Obama has now told biographer David Maraniss that the 'New York girlfriend' was actually a composite character, based off of multiple girlfriends he had both in New York City and in Chicago.
"During an interview in the Oval Office, Obama acknowledged that, while Genevieve was his New York girlfriend, the description in his memoir was a “compression” of girlfriends, including one who followed Genevieve [Cook] when he lived in Chicago," Maraniss writes in his new biography an excerpt of which was published online today by Vanity Fair.

"In Dreams from My Father, Obama chose to emphasize a racial chasm that unavoidably separated him from the woman he described as his New York girlfriend," Maraniss writes, offering a passage from the book in which they go to see a play by a black playwright:
One night I took her to see a new play by a black playwright. It was a very angry play, but very funny. Typical black American humor. The audience was mostly black, and everybody was laughing and clapping and hollering like they were in church. After the play was over, my friend started talking about why black people were so angry all the time. I said it was a matter of remembering—nobody asks why Jews remember the Holocaust, I think I said—and she said that’s different, and I said it wasn’t, and she said that anger was just a dead end. We had a big fight, right in front of the theater. When we got back to the car she started crying. She couldn’t be black, she said. She would if she could, but she couldn’t. She could only be herself, and wasn’t that enough.
"None of this happened with Genevieve," Maraniss writes. "  She remembered going to the theater only once with Barack, and it was not to see a work by a black playwright. When asked about this decades later, during a White House interview, Obama acknowledged that the scene did not happen with Genevieve. “It is an incident that happened,” he said. But not with her. He would not be more specific, but the likelihood is that it happened later, when he lived in Chicago. “That was not her,” he said. “That was an example of compression I was very sensitive in my book not to write about my girlfriends, partly out of respect for them.
.
A 'compression'?
.
The girl in the book was a compression.  And that would be less of a 'lie' than when Al Gore said he invented the internet?  Or when Al Gore said "Love Story" was about him and Tipper?  Or when he said  Global Warming by man was real?  But it's OK, right, because he's NOT a Republican.
.
I have an interesting question that goes with this situation.
.
Let's suppose a President was accused of some nefarious plot to cover up a break in at a hotel, and that ALL the real breakers said POTUS knew nothing.  That's too hard to believe, right?  So he must be guilty, because HE was a Republican.
.
Or let's suppose another POTUS was accused of buying guns, selling guns, and having a slush fund for his own personal intel network, but when Congress got their hands on it, a Marine Lt Colonel said POTUS didn't know everything?  That's too hard to believe, right?  So he must be guilty, because HE was a Republican too.

Both stories are strictly hypothetical, of course.
.
We are yet again in the midst of a situation where the current POTUS has spun a lie, or changed facts to fit the needs or 'compressed' several people to create a 'person' who is expedient to his narrative.  But it's OK, because he's NOT a Republican.

Right?

Do you really expect him to tell the truth and let the country know that he's a Soros-funded, Mooselamb, communist, fag? I'll bet he had as many girlfriends as Liberace had.

If there's one thing Obummer has learned after 3 1/2 years in office without being impeached or hung, it's that there's no reason for him to tell the truth to anyone, about anything. Can you think of a reason why he should tell the truth when he knows he won't be held accountable for all the lies he's told?

Compression? I put new pistons in my Vette and raised the compression to 13.5 to 1.

now that he supports even more liberal views of marriage than he did when he was elected.....I wonder if we will now find out that he has almost as many wives as his father did.....dreams of his father.
