Has someone ELSE been reading 'Unintended Consequences'?

I just finished reading it and I can tell you I was shocked to read that ANY Federal Agent can just request a gun carry permit, AND get it! A guy who is an ACCOUNTANT for the Ag Dept can get the approval to carry a pistol or a machine gun, because they MIGHT have to go out to the field and MIGHT be in danger.

On the other hand, we all have to jump through flaming hoops to get a CCH, that's IF we live somewhere that the State has 'allowed' it at all! Those two systems of total inequality of self-protection are, in my mind, EXACTLY why the Second Amendment exists in the first effing place!

And I can tell everyone in here, if you have N OT read 'Unintended Consequences', get a copy, borrow a copy, look at the library, rob a used book store, WHATEVER...but read that book! It's 16 years old, so I can only imagine that the situations in that book are worse not better with respect to us as citizens being over regulated by the elected worms in D.C. and every state house in all of our glorious '57' states!

Read it, 'cause ya' need it.

Veggie, stay green bro! Or broc, whichever you prefer.

A nursery school teacher was delivering a station wagon full of kids home one day when a fire truck zoomed past.

Sitting in the front seat of the fire truck was a Dalmatian dog. The children started discussing what the dog's duties might be.

"They use him to keep crowds back," said one youngster.

"No," said another, "he's just for good luck."

A third child concluded. "No silly, they use the dogs to find the fire hydrant!"

Makes sense...

Anon,
how old ARE YOU? A 'station wagon'?

20 years ago, shoulda' been a mini-van.

NOW, it should be an SUV.

Depending on who gets elected, might be a SUV next year, might be a horse drawn WAGON too though!
