I tried to find the 'political leanings' of some of the actors, to no avail. That will, IMHO, play on how they carry this off. Hollyweird isn't known for sticking to the book. Although, making it Part 1 & Part 2 leans toward keeping the story whole.

(just for info, last week we were looking at coming snow here [it did Thu] now, it's gonna be 60 and i'm firing up the grill it must be global warming)

"I’m not one who questions the existence of the president’s birth certificate. But when you listen to his policies, don’t you at least wonder what planet he’s from? On what planet do they create jobs by taxing the daylight out of people trying to grow jobs? On what planet do they try to reduce the deficit by spending even more? On what planet do they make healthcare better by putting bureaucrats in charge?"

Pawlenty is a smart guy.

But the real smart folks are the ones waking up and DUMPING that idiot Romney from the CPAC straw poll.

Pawlenty was tied at 4th, but he was in good company.

Is Pawlenty JG? Or is it Paul?

There's something about Romney i don't like or trust. A little too slick for my taste. Pawlenty seems like a straight shooter and he sounds like he knows what he's talking about but "might be" a bit too weak to deal with the Left. I have to pay closer attention to him. Paul would be my first choice, but (here we go again) i think most people see him as some kind of nut, thanks to the MSM, and therefor will not vote for him. But he does have a lot of ideas i agree with, such as, bring our troops home now from everywhere, shut down the federal reserve, end all foreign aid, close the border, etc.

"Political tags - such as royalist, communist, democrat, populist, fascist, liberal, conservative, and so forth - are never basic criteria. The human race divides politically into those who want people to be controlled, even if they don't realize it or admit it, and those who have no such desire."

Pawlenty is right. You can't DIG your way out of a hole!

It's odd about RAH, he was SO All-American, Naval Graduate, kill the Commies and Socialists, BUT he was kind of left leaning in the 50's sometimes AFTER he married Ginny.

But his quote is dead on. It states clearly the true cut of humanity. Typically good shooting for a Naval gunnery Officer, IMHO.

And I'm NOT voting for Poots, his wife is Chinese!!

(he could be a closeted ChiCom)

(but don't tell him I think that)

(he might send the ChiComs after ME if he finds out!)

Plus he's got all those Tomahawks.

Heinlein was an early Libertarian. Never on the left from what I gleaned from his writings.

I just re-read what I wrote and PART of it is missing.

RAH became more right wing AFTER he married Ginny. He was a FDR supporter and anti big business before that from things I've read.

That was my point, I just failed to make it. How did he support FDR and write the right wing stuff he did. In a word,

Ginny.

I think he was typical of the times. people distrusted businessmen, and (IMHO) got bamboozled by the New Dealers.

(Poots has tomahawks?)

(how far can he trow one?)

(wait...you meant the flying, whirlybird kind...didn't you)
