Hmmm, was Personal Freedom on the Criteria List?

.
This kind of left-wing, liberal-socialist, BS is why the UN has become USE-LESS in the world forum. And not surprisingly, I cannot find the actual criteria list anywhere on AL Gores internet. I can find Britney Spears beaver, and the length of Churchill's...cigar, but the UNDP Criteria List for ranking countries is NOT AVAILABLE? As Basil Rathbone oft said to Nigel Bruce, "Odd that, eh Watson?"
.
Norway takes the number one spot in the annual United Nations human development index released Monday but China has made the biggest strides in improving the well-being of its citizens.

The index compiled by the UN Development Programme (UNDP) ranks 182 countries based on such criteria as life expectancy, literacy, school enrolment and gross domestic product (GDP) per capita.

Norway, Australia and Iceland took the first three spots while Niger ranks at the very bottom, just below Afghanistan.

China moved up seven places on the list to rank as the 92nd most developed country due to improvements in education as well as income levels and life expectancy.

.
I'd love to see this list. I'm betting it's got questions like, "Do you STILL beat your wife?" or more to the point, "Does your country STILL act unilaterally or do they defer to US, the all important UN first?"
.
As much as I hate to agree with people like Moamar K'daffy, or that South American socialist weirdoid Chavez, I'd like to see the United Nations moved out of NYC. Let some other country worry over, protect and PAY FOR the basic operation of the UN.

Geez by that measure people in Nigeria dream of living in Afghanistan? And didn't Iceland's economy collapse last year?

Here is a win-win.

Move the UN down to Gitmo. Keep they prisoners there, they can wait tables or something.

This can be a sublet agreement, and the US can include the rent as their contribution to the operating budget. The lower overall rent should also help reduce the operating costs for the UN, so every country has a chance to share in the bounty.

A couple of years ago, i had suggested to my pal BOW that we buy the UN and turn it into multi-million dollar condos. He said trying to get the place would be like pulling teeth. (or maybe he said not as much fun as pulling teeth?)

My plan-B would've been a lot cheaper since it only involved a quantity of certain chemicals and a large U-Haul truck. I'm still waiting for his reply.

WASHINGTON, 10/6/09 --- President Obama is about to take another bite out of the Big Apple.

Obama is heading to Manhattan Oct. 20 to play fund-raiser in chief at a Democratic Party cash bash in the Mandarin Oriental Hotel at Columbus Circle, sources told The News.

The price of admission is $30,400 per couple for the evening soiree. And the take will go to the coffers of the Democratic National Committee.

Obama is no stranger to Democratic donors in the Empire State. He raked in nearly $50 million from New Yorkers during his record-breaking White House campaign, according to the Center for Responsive Politics.

Oh, and bring your own lab coat.
