We all need to quit using the term "the government" when decrying issues like net neutrality, and all these other control policies and the general PCascist take over. And, admittedly, I'm guilty too.

Not friggin Obama or idiot Harry Reid or even, as Jimmy the cripple would say, that cuh...cuh, cuh, cuh...cuh,...cuh, er, Nancy Pelosi.
Let's use the correct terms for the people who are pushing us away from our Constitutional Rights. It's really, the Obama Administration, Liberal (lying) Democrats, Progressives, COMMUNISTS, Socialists, etc.
Even if we say government and mean the people actually on the payroll, most of them aren't "in on the push" toward socialist policies. They are people, like Mrs. Schteveo f'rinstance who IS a Conservative, Christian, gun-ower, who don't want all this crap either. Yes there are control freaks and kooks in the government employ, but I worked, and you may still, for them in private industry too. The vast majority of gub'ment employees have NO power to exert to get policies like Obamacare or Porkulus passed.
That crap comes straight from the Kremlin, via the DNC and our universities, and then gets promulgated by the indoctrinated members of the Obama Administration, the Liberal (lying) Democrats, Progressives, COMMUNISTS, Socialists, etc, etc, etc.

Actually my friend, the blame belongs on OUR doorstep. It's We The People who have allowed this to happen. The Odumbo administration and their commie congress didn't simply walk in and take over. WE put them there. And worse yet, WE keep them there, proving Einstein's definition of insanity was correct.
Years ago, the Left was pushing their major objective of that time, which was, to over turn one of the founding principles this nation was built on, that being majority rule. When they were finally successful, thanks to legislation via the courts, that was the begining of the end for this "free" country. As we all know, it has been minority rule ever since. And i'm not only talking about race.
I'm not a constitutional historian, but i doubt the Founding Fathers invisioned a day when two lesbians could walk into a San Franciso courtroom and literally change the lives of 300+ million people.
We are the govt? It sure sounds nice, but i don't think it's very realistic. Just think of all the things this Marxist govt. (wouldn't) be doing right now if we were the govt.

I totally agree that WE, the voters, are to blame.
But I still disagree that the "gov't" is in control. IF the Administration and the liberals actually had control, all their crap would be passed and we'd be screwed, and in hiding. Limbaugh, O'Reily, Hannity, hell, they'd be under the jail.
But there is, even among liberal Dems, still NOT enough votes to get this crap pushed through. My fear is that only spilled blood, some ours BTW, will need be the lubricant of reverse change, back to our original ideals and freedoms.
Just the other day, I re-read MY marching orders. And I consider them that, given the oath I took when I joined the Navy. I did NOT agree to support "X", "Y" or "Z" party or affiliation. I agreed to protect the Constitution FIRST and everything else came after, all under the UCMJ. If Obama or Bush or Bin Laden as POTUS, issuse orders contrary to the Constitution, nobody has to obey them.
Here's the marching orders to my mind,

"We" did not put them there. I don't accept responsibility for the actions of other individuals. I did not vote for them. I opposed them and still do. By saying "we" what we are doing is falling into that collective mindset that I firmly oppose.
Through a concerted effort of dumbing down the masses over many years and the failure of parents to care while being distracted by entertainment and calling anyone who sees the conspiracy a nut brought us to where we are today. Is it any wonder people know more about a celebrity they will never meet than about hwo is the president. Is it any wonder why someone knows more about the rules of football then they do about the Constitution of the USA? We are so far behind the game that ONLY a revolution can save us.

I understand where you're coming from Bill, but IMO, it's still our fault for being weak, mindless, distracted, gullible, and other wise disinterested in what "our" govt. does, until it gets up close, personal, and painful. And by that time, it's too late.
But, in all fairness, lets wait until the mid-term elections. The results will tell the story. If the people re-elect most of the crooks who are now in congress, (and i'm betting they will) that means Odumbo's Marxist take-over will continue. And it'll take generations to undo the damage they're doing, and will do, assuming we survive.
It's funny, but the only thing that may save us are the new Demoncrats in congress who refuse to buckle under to the far-left. Imagine that. It will take Demoncrats to save us.
It's going to take AMERICANS to save us, and some of them will be moderates from the Democrat side of the aisle undoubtedly. I say that because all this socialist crap Reid, Pelosi and the far-left are pushing is outright Anti-American and like Walter Williams said, I doubt it's even LEGAL under the Constitution. Even if some Dems vote down all this tripe to save their jobs, it's still a vote against this rampant socialism move.
Better still Reid is probably about to take the asswhipping of the political century. It was liberal policies that caused the economic downturn. Money people in Las Vegas understand that and in the case of Vegas money vs Reid, what happened in Vegas won't stay in Vegas. He bet he'd be insulated if or when things went south, he, like other Dems, screwed up TOO many lives and he's about to lose that bet over it.
