I propose a simple American Civics Test PRIOR to taking office. Or better still, to get on the ballot!! And the reason why, is the number of Democrats who don't know how our government works.
.
Today's example is NY's Lil' Chucky Shumer
.
Before you go look, what are the three branches of government? If you know, you're a step ahead of Shumer.

It Froze
Whoa! Stunning news. I remember how the MSM tried to play down the fall of the Berlin Wall. What will they say about this? "Mild frost in Hell?"
My mind is overcome with the implications. For what, and how many times, did I apply a possibility to this event?

Russian Roulette
We're all familiar with the old game of Russian Roulette, though most are more familiar with it figuratively than literally. Needless to say, there's a "great deal" of luck involved when playing this game, but eventually, you will lose and the room will be a mess.
In many ways, how we treat our southern border, assuming you go so far as to call it a border, is the same. The government keeps it's fingers crossed and hopes we'll continue to be lucky as to who is coming into the country, and why. Fact is, the govt. doesn't have a clue as to who comes in, or where they end up, or what their true intentions are. It's kind of like playing Russian Roulette with five bullets instead of one, meaning you will lose, it's just a question of when. Another scary fact is that we have absolutely no idea how many genuine threats to our nation have come across that border, nor do we know what they may have been carrying. To find that out, we'll have to wait for a large mushroom cloud over a major city, or wait to see tens-of-thousand of dead bodies covering our streets, airports, bus or rail stations, or some huge major sporting event. All it would take is a Coke bottle filled with some chemical weapon to get those results.
With the world getting more dangerous and crazy by the day, one would think a so-called rational society would think about this and take steps to stop it. Closing our border crossings and lining our border with armed troops would be a great start. And, it's very doable. Instead of wasting time, hundreds-of-Billions, and above all, valuable lives in Iraq and Afghanistan helping people who hate us, those brave troops could be protecting their own country and people. And it wouldn't cost us an extra dollar since we're already paying our warriors, albeit not nearly enough. Will we see this happen? No! The elected, lying, crooks in DC are not known for following rational, common sense advise. I guess we'll just have to wait for, that day...

...no matter how much you try, you just can't stop yourself from doing something wrong. (giggling stupidly) This is MINE for today (tears streaming)

Yeah, I'll probably hear from the Secret Service about it, and yes it's NOT PC, but I'm sick of being told to be civil while others can say anything they wish.

Wait, that's not how I remember it!! Let me say from the outset, I'm not a misogynist. I love women as a limited group. I love my mother, my wife, her sisters, I miss my late sister. I truly miss my late mother-in-law. She was always good and kind to me, often over the years, when I didn't even deserve it. Having said that, I continue. But as a group I despise modern women, and I ain't crazy about most modern men!!
.
I love my mother dearly, I try to take care of her as best I can, my dad's been dead three years and she, at 82, leans toward FREAKING OUT about something about every 6 weeks on average. My brothers can't handle her, I simply do what Pop did, I TELL her what WILL be. I'm not rude or mean, she just needs to know she'll be taken care of. (yeah, I know I'm pissing off the ladies 'up in here', but stick with me please) I don't ever remember my parents arguing, my dad just had the final say. It was the accepted way when they, and I, grew up. My wife grew up that way too for that matter.
Do any of you remember the John Wayne, Maureen O'Hara movie, "McLintock!"? My wife and I love that flick. Arizona in the 1890's, out west, men were men and women were women, cows were food!! The Duke was older and we all knew he was the Good Guy. Hell, my Mrs would pitch my Dan Posts out NOW if the big man came back and wanted in the house. But I wander from my points. There are two scenes in that movie that drive the NOW crowd insane.
Patrick Wayne spanks Stephanie Powers and John Wayne spanks Maureen O'Hara. I'm not a proponent, but they did it for a reason, to exert their LEAD in the family. Also, my wife knows where all the sharp stuff and guns are!! So I rule as a kindly despot, Pop always called it a 'semi-benevolent dictatorship'.
But I STILL have the last say. But I must be 'saying' something and doing something right, she's stuck by my old, crippled ass for almost 40 years of marriage and we've been a couple for 43 years, since the 9th Grade for Pete Sake! In short she knows I'll protect her and we get along and we decide things in committee, but I get final say. (yeah, I know, your really boiling, but stick with me PLEASE)
In the last week, since Sunday morning to be exact, I've heard the term "MOM CAVE" about 6913 times. And why, because MEN will be watching the Superbowl in their MAN CAVES in another week or so, and MOM needs a place where she can (here's the Talking points phrase) "...relax in a quiet place that's JUST hers, designed for and by her, for her...".
.
Uh huh, I'm throwing a BIG yellow BULLSHIT penalty FLAG!!!
.
Actually, it's because American women cannot stand the idea that some MAN might have a GD thing that THEY, the American women, DON'T friggin' control!!! Have you been in the average American home lately, most look like NO man lives there at ALL!!!!!! Hell, it's true in half of them, and the rest are jealous, I guess.
.
I blame both the men AND women. The women for taking control and the men for giving up their nuts and spines at the altar!! But which came first, the chicken or the egg? If the women knew they'd be taken care of, loved and protected, they might NOT be getting divorced and might NOT be 'needing' a MOM CAVE, even if they are still married. Men might not need a MAN CAVE if they could be MEN somewhere in their own homes or out in public!!
.
Ultimately I blame the idiot liberals who think, and have taught two generations that, men and women are the same except for plumbing!! Sometimes. I wish for another financial collapse. To reset the familial, and societal clock. So men can be men and women can be women, and cows can be food.
.

"...traditionally, guns don't go off without someone's finger on the trigger."
Because I don't always feel up to watching, I record Glenn Beck daily. Then I play catchup later. I got REALLY behind over Christmas because of the holidays and Mrs. Schteveo took some vacation in January too.
.
Today I'm watching a show from Jan 19th.
There's a crawl on the screen that says,
"...a 15 y/o girls is fighting for her life after a school shooting... ...she's one of two girls shot when a gun hidden in a backpack ACCIDENTLY went off..."
.
I refer you to two things, the Title Bar is a statement from the LAPD PIO, and he's full of shit. Guns get dropped and knocked over EVERYday and go off ACCIDENTLY. TRADITIONALLY, anyone who handles guns knows this, you'd think a policeman would be in that group. I doubt anyone taught that to Junior, Jamal or Julio (I'm going for all three races here) and so he dropped his book bag on his desk, firing the pistol.
That was Number One.
Number Two is, there is NO such word as ACCIDENTLY. FOX eventually corrected the spelling. I can only ASS U ME that FOX Editors never heard of Spell Check. Sad, huh? The LAPD will most likely promote the PIO to get him out of the way. Maybe he should teach firearms safety to HS, JR or Primary School gangbangers to help save some lives! Right after he learns some.

I can hear the hawkers in D.C. this summer, and you know the cadence, like the corn dog guy at the State Fair or the Italian Sausage guy at the Fest of St Anthony for northeastern city dwellers.
"...T-shirts, I got T-shirts, BUMPer STICKers, I GOT bumpER stickERS...get yer NEW oBAMA aPROVED T-shirts, i GOT T-shirts, T-shirts...get yer DUBYA tee EFF T-shirts..."
If these guys at the WH are such a bunch of smarter that thou geniuses, HTF did they miss WTF? And, correct me if I'm wrong, but if these clowns think they're smarter than we are and should be our overlords, HTF did they miss WTF?? They remind me of another well known geene ee yus in American culture, Wile E. Coyote.
Oh to see Obama on an Acme Rocket Sled, headed back to Cook County, where Barry's buddy Rahm is about to be proclaimed Il Duce.

Dennis Kucinich is a (toothless) putz.
Rep. Dennis Kucinich has rapped a U.S. House of Representatives cafeteria with a $150,000 lawsuit for selling him a vegetarian sandwich wrap in 2008 that he says caused dental damage when he bit into an olive pit.
The lawsuit that the Cleveland Democrat filed Jan. 3 against operators and suppliers of the Longworth House Office Building cafeteria says the sandwich he bought there "on or about" April 17, 2008 "contained dangerous substances, namely an olive pit, that a consumer would not reasonably expect to find in the final product served."
Biting into it caused serious "permanent dental and oral injuries requiring multiple surgical and dental procedures," the legal documents say. They contend the congressman is entitled to damages for future dental and medical expenses and to compensate him for pain, suffering, and loss of enjoyment.
"Said sandwich wrap was unwholesome and unfit for human consumption in that it was presented to contain pitted olives, yet unknown to plaintiff, contained an unpitted olive or olives which plaintiff did not reasonably expect to be in the food prepared for him, and could not visually detect prior to consumption," the lawsuit said.
A scheduling conference on the case has been set for April 8 before District of Columbia Superior Court Judge Gregory E. Jackson.
Kucinich's mishap occurred several months after the vegan congressman abandoned his second ill-fated presidential run. On the day of the incident, Kucinich chaired a hearing that examined whether cattle were being abused in California slaughterhouses.
.
Uh, is it ME, or doesn't Little Denny get free dental care as a Congressman? Where's the cost to him?

In honor of lost Fridays!!
A cowboy named Bud was overseeing his herd in a remote pasture when suddenly a brand-new BMW advanced toward him out of a cloud of dust. The driver, a young man in a Brioni suit, Gucci shoes , RayBan sunglasses and YSL tie, leaned out the window and asked the cowboy,
"If I tell you exactly how many cows and calves you have in your herd, Will you give me a calf?"
The young man thinks about it for a second and then says, "Okay, why not?"
Bud looks at the man, obviously a yuppie, then looks at his peacefully grazing herd and calmly answers,
"Sure, Why not?"
The yuppie parks his car, whips out his Dell notebook computer, connects it to his Cingular RAZR V3 cell phone , and surfs to a
NASA page on the Internet, where he calls up a GPS satellite to get an exact fix on his location which he then feeds to another NASA
satellite that scans the area in an ultra-high-resolution photo.
The young man then opens the digital photo in Adobe Photoshop and
exports it to an image processing facility in Hamburg , Germany. Within seconds, he receives an email on his Palm Pilot that the
image has been processed and the data stored. He then accesses an
MS-SQL database through an ODBC connected Excel spreadsheet with email on his Blackberry and, after a few minutes, receives a response.
Finally, he prints out a full-color, 150-page report on his hi-tech,
miniaturized HP LaserJet printer, turns to the cowboy and says,
"You have exactly 1,586 'critters' in this herd," he slurred making fun of Bud's accent.
"That's right. Well, I guess you can take one of my calves," says Bud.
He watches the young man select one of the animals and looks on with
amusement as the young man stuffs it into the trunk of his car.
Then Bud says to the young man,
"Hey, if I can tell you exactly what your business is, will you give me back my calf?" The yuppie nods a yes.
"You're an aide in the Obama Administration", says Bud.
"Wow! That's correct," says the yuppie, "but how did you guess that?"
"No guessing required." answered the cowboy. "You showed up here even though nobody called you; you want to get paid for an answer I already knew, to a question I never asked. You used millions of dollars worth of equipment trying to show me how much smarter than me you are; and you don't know a thing about how working people make a living - or about cows, for that matter. This is a herd of sheep. ...NOW give me back my damn dog."

State of the Union Preview: a budget freeze, a earmark ban and pigs will fly in 2011!!
.
President Obama to Propose Budget Freeze and Earmark Ban Tonight
.
Pursuing a path of deficit reduction and government reform, President Obama will tonight in his State of the Union address call for a ban on earmarks and he will propose an overall budget freeze, ABC News has learned.
The proposals come as the president prepares to tackle the deficit and debt and as he faces a House of Representatives in Republican hands, many of whose members include those affiliated with the Tea Party who may be willing to embrace both moves.
The president will propose some new spending in certain areas that address the speech’s theme of “How We Win the Future”: innovation, education and infrastructure. But those increases will be proposed as part of an overall budget freeze, which given the annual rate of growth is often seen in Washington, DC, budgeting as a cut.
The FY 2011 budget was $3.8 trillion. Last year President Obama proposed a three-year hard freeze on non-security discretionary spending, to save $250 billion over the next decade; this would be much broader.
.
“I’m a strong believer that the earmarking process in Congress isn’t what the American people really want to see when it comes to making tough decisions about how taxpayer dollars are spent,” the president said. “And I, in the rush to get things done, had to sign a bunch of bills that had earmarks in them, which was contrary to what I had talked about. And I think folks look at that and they said, ‘Gosh, this feels like the same partisan squabbling, this seems like the same ways of doing business as happened before.’”
.
...uh huh, I'll believe it when I see it, and a $250M savings against a 3 TRILLION DOLLAR debt is like me skipping the BK and going home to eat a PB&J. It means nothing in the big scheme of things.

WTF are they thinking!?
.
Renewed Push to Give President an Internet "Kill Switch"
.
A controversial bill handing President Obama power over privately owned computer systems during a "national cyberemergency," and prohibiting any review by the court system, will return this year.
Internet companies should not be alarmed by the legislation, first introduced last summer by Sens. Joseph Lieberman (I-Conn.) and Susan Collins (R-Maine), a Senate aide said last week. Lieberman, an independent who caucuses with Democrats, is chairman of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee.
"We're not trying to mandate any requirements for the entire Internet, the entire Internet backbone," said Brandon Milhorn, Republican staff director and counsel for the committee.
Instead, Milhorn said at a conference in Washington, D.C., the point of the proposal is to assert governmental control only over those "crucial components that form our nation's critical infrastructure."
Portions of the Lieberman-Collins bill, which was not uniformly well-received when it became public in June 2010, became even more restrictive when a Senate committee approved a modified version on December 15. The full Senate did not act on the measure.
.
A bill that openly states there will, be NO court oversight? Uh, just for the tally sheets, where in the hell did they get the idea that we can throw out the Constitution on EVERY new law?
.
It's a good thing Leiberman is retiring, he's lost his mind!

Anyone seen the news from New Hampshire? The New England Republican Party Committee (brainless trust that they are) had their Straw Poll, and voted for Mitt (I'm just like GWB) Romney for President in 2012. Here's my question...
.
WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE!!!!?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?????????????????????????
.
Mitt Romney is GWB, minus the military smarts, minus the snappy reparte, minus the pilot training, minus the influence of Dick Cheney and minus every other POSSIBLE attribute he could have. The similarities are in his middle of the road, moderate policies.
.
We need Mitt Romney like we need a swift kick in the crotch!!

The Circus Is Coming To Town
On Tuesday night, the American people will get to see the Marxist-in-Chief give his State of The Union speech to the country. It's an opportunity for a president to tell the people where the country is, where it's going, and what he's going to do to help us. In other words, it's a highly-publicized, highly choreographed, bullshit session. You'd get more honesty and relevance watching The Jersey Shore. But there is one thing that will make this address different. It will be, without a doubt, a huge 2012 campaign speech. Most of us know that Obummer has been running for re-election ever since he was sworn in. This speech will make it official.
What Obummer needs to do, in fact, his #1 priority will be to (once again) con the American people. The last time he needed to con the people into believing he was actually qualified to be president, an illusion the MSM created without one single fact or accomplishment to point to. This time it's going to a bit tougher. I think. This time, he needs to con the people into thinking he's actually a "moderate centrist". A centrist! Here's a guy who's been raised and tutored by radical Marxists and Communists all of his life! Now, and in just the past few weeks, he's a "moderate centrist"? When i got done laughing at that notion, i noticed something that i find very troubling. According to the media polls, his approval numbers are actually going up. Going up! Of course, the media's polls are just that, the media's polls. No one really knows if there's any truth in the results they report. No one really knows where, when, how, or by whom these questions are asked, nor do we know how the questions are worded, or of whom they are asked. All we get are the "alleged" results. Any one of the above factors can profoundly change how the results are seen. In fact, they can pretty much create any illusion they want knowing full-well that the illusion will, once again, have a serious impact on what the weak-minded voters will do in 2012.
For me, it doesn't really matter what he says in his speech because i know it's true purpose. Oh sure, it'll be filled with lies about all the wonderful things he's done in the last three years, and how he'll be able do so much more "for us" in a second term. Of course, he won't be specific since that would make the lies obvious. And of course, he'll blame all the usual suspects for everything that's wrong while making sure he continues to look like our saviour.
So, does he (and George Soros) think he can get away with this con again? Do they believe the people are that weak and that dumb?........... And are they?

Taxes and Beers; or Pizzas; or Candy Bars
I looked up the authorship of this at Snopes, the jury is out on who wrote it, but it still works!! Want to teach the kids, make it candy bars.
.
This is the best explanation I’ve ever seen for this country’s tax situation:
Suppose that every day, ten men go out for beer and the bill for all ten comes to $100. If they paid their bill the way we pay our taxes, it would go something like this...
The first four men (the poorest) would pay nothing.
The fifth would pay $1
The sixth would pay $3
The seventh would pay $7
The eighth would pay $12
The ninth would pay $18
The tenth man (the richest) would pay $59
So, that's what they decided to do.
The ten men drank in the bar every day and seemed quite happy with the arrangement, until one day, the owner threw them a curve ball. "Since you are all such good customers," he said, "I'm going to reduce the cost of your daily beer by $20." Drinks for the ten men would now cost just $80.
The group still wanted to pay their bill the way we pay our taxes. So the first four men were unaffected. They would still drink for free.
But what about the other six men? The paying customers? How could they divide the $20 windfall so that everyone would get his fair share?
They realized that $20 divided by six is $3.33. But if they subtracted that from everybody's share, then the fifth man and the sixth man would each end up being paid to drink his beer.
So, the bar owner suggested that it would be fair to reduce each man's bill by a higher percentage the poorer he was, to follow the principle of the tax system they had been using, and he proceeded to work out the amounts he suggested that each should now pay.
And so the fifth man, like the first four, now paid nothing (100% saving).
The sixth now paid $2 instead of $3 (33% saving).
The seventh now paid $5 instead of $7 (28% saving).
The eighth now paid $9 instead of $12 (25% saving).
The ninth now paid $14 instead of $18 (22% saving).
The tenth now paid $49 instead of $59 (16% saving).
Each of the six was better off than before. And the first four continued to drink for free. But, once outside the bar, the men began to compare their savings.
"I only got a dollar out of the $20 saving," declared the sixth man. He pointed to the tenth man, ´but he got $10!"
"Yeah, that's right," exclaimed the fifth man. "I only saved a dollar too. It's unfair that he got ten times more benefit than me!"
"That's true!" shouted the seventh man. "Why should he get $10 back, when I got only $2? The wealthy get all the breaks!"
"Wait a minute," yelled the first four men in unison, "we didn't get anything at all. This new tax system exploits the poor!"
The nine men surrounded the tenth and beat him up.
The next night the tenth man didn't show up for drinks, so the nine sat down and had their beers without him. But when it came time to pay the bill, they discovered something important. They didn't have enough money between all of them for even half of the bill.
And that, boys and girls, journalists and government ministers, is how our tax system works. The people who already pay the highest taxes will naturally get the most benefit from a tax reduction.
Tax them too much, attack them for being wealthy, and they just may not show up anymore. In fact, they might start drinking overseas, where the atmosphere is somewhat friendlier.
.
It just doesn't get any better than that for simplicity. Does it? I'm thinking of sending this to ALL the Democrats in the country.

Here's the answer, ARM the citizens!!
Camden NJ, a real whole by any normal tally, is laying off HALF it's cops. But the answer is easy. Just arm all the citizens.
.
Seriously.
.
Go back and look at times when the general citizenry was armed. It, oddly, is a time where major crime goes down. Why? Because 'bad guys' never know who can, or will, shoot back, cut back, swing back.
.
Look at the states where we have concealed carry. Crime goes down, Where is crime the worst? NY, IL, CA, NJ,...all those places with the toughest gun control laws.
.
Hell, look at what happened in Australia!! When they outlawed guns, gun related crime went up 400% over the next two years!!
Just hand out guns in Camden. OK, but maybe not ALL the citizens, you just need to give out 250 or 300 guns. If BJ, JW, Ray-Ray, Snub, Thug, Taco Boy and Tookie don't know whether Grandma is packing or not, they may think twice about stealing her SS check and her EBT card.

Reality Can Hurt
Have you ever watched someone hurt themselves because they did something stupid? I'll bet you probably said to yourself, "gee, i'd better make sure i don't do that". It's only common sense. So why is it that our government looks at failing systems in other countries, then insists on copying them? In this case, i'm referring to socialized medicine in places like Canada and Britain, both of which are failed systems. Yet we are having those failed systems shoved down our throats, albeit with a more benign-sounding name. You would think the Marxist-in-Chief and his Leftist advisers might wonder why so many Canadians come to the U.S. for their serious medical needs. If this was really about health care they would. It's not. What it's really about is, CONTROL.
Human nature being what it is, once you give people something for nothing, and get them used to getting it for free, you are going to have one hell-of-a-time taking it away, or even cutting it back. Personally, i think the Brits are in for some rough times (as in civil unrest?) over this move, but it's one they really can't avoid, because like us, they too are broke. It's a great feeling to give things away, assuming you can afford it. If you can't, well, that's when the reality sets in, and it's gonna hurt. Even wealthy nations (like we used to be) can't afford to keep giving everything away forever, a fact the fuzzy-brained bleeding hearts of the Left choose to ignore. Unfortunately, we're not smart enough to learn a lesson that's unfolding right in front of us, so we'll go ahead and imitate the losers. If you wanted to learn how to drive a race car, would you learn from the guy who comes in first, or the guy who comes in last? DUH...

Toyota is sending jobs BACK to the U.S.
.
Toyota's president acknowledged that shifting production abroad may be inevitable to ward off damage from a rising yen, a reversal of course for the Japanese automaker.
Toyota Motor Corp. President Akio Toyoda made the comments in a New Year's message posted Friday on the company's website. He promised to outline in April his plan to revamp management and regain trust after the global massive recalls that battered Toyota's once pristine image for quality.
Under the new strategy, it may also become necessary to move production to eke out profit amid currency rate fluctuations, he said, while noting that such decisions will be made carefully.
"But if profits cannot be achieved, then we have no choice but to realistically consider the option of shifting production," Toyoda said.
.
It's a double edged sword. More Americans working for a foreign manufacturing, but at a good wage, no unions. I'm torn.

Damned if you do, and just damned sometimes!!
Beside the obvious differences, I wouldn't be Sarah Palin for all the gold in Alaska. If she speaks first, she's stupid, if she responds, she's even dumber, if she defends herself, she's thin skinned.

Now she's a racist who doesn't understand semantics. (what, again?)
.
Today she posted a 8 minute video online, basically answering her accusers over Saturday's shooting.
.
But what's odd is that just as soon as this happened last weekend, the left leaning (idiot) Sheriff started blaming her and the right side TV and radio. I heard and saw her name several times. But today ABC says SHE is trying to INJECT herself into this story.
.
Are they totally MAD!?

This whole situation is insane, maddening and dangerous. This is precisely the kind of thing they need / want for a total take over via Presidential Edict. Keep your eyes open.

Glock Pistol Sales Surge in Aftermath of Arizona Shootings
.
After a Glock-wielding gunman killed six people at a Tucson shopping center on Jan. 8, Greg Wolff, the owner of two Arizona gun shops, told his manager to get ready for a stampede of new customers.
Wolff was right. Instead of hurting sales, the massacre had the $499 semi-automatic pistols -- popular with police, sport shooters and gangsters -- flying out the doors of his Glockmeister stores in Mesa and Phoenix.
“We’re at double our volume over what we usually do,” Wolff said two days after the shooting spree that also left 14 wounded, including Democratic Representative Gabrielle Giffords, who remains in critical condition.
A national debate over weaknesses in state and federal gun laws stirred by the shooting has stoked fears among gun buyers that stiffer restrictions may be coming from Congress, gun dealers say. The result is that a deadly demonstration of the weapon’s effectiveness has also fired up sales of handguns in Arizona and other states, according to federal law enforcement data.
“When something like this happens people get worried that the government is going to ban stuff,” Wolff said.
.
I wonder if sales of Satanic Altars have gone up too? Or better yet, will the state try to crack down on satanic altars and heavy metal music as well as guns and ammo in response to the attack?
.
"...debate over weaknesses in state and federal gun laws..." By all means lets not look into weaknesses in crazy friggin' NUTS running the streets for years, acting out and threatening people!

No talk radio for Chafee, and on-duty state workers, too
.
PROVIDENCE — No one is likely to confuse new Governor Chafee with his Republican predecessor, Donald L. Carcieri, and now here’s another way to tell them apart:
Chafee doesn’t plan to spend his own time on talk radio, and he intends to ban state employees from spending their state work time talking on talk radio, which was Carcieri’s favorite medium and an integral part of his communications operation.
Spokesman Michael Trainor said a directive will go out over the next day or so that reflects that new policy.
He said the policy emanates from a belief that talk radio is essentially “ratings-driven, for-profit programming,” and “we don’t think it is appropriate to use taxpayer resources” in the form of state employee work time to “support for-profit, ratings-driven programming.”
.
Talk radio? I'm guessing he's yet another Democrat who's never met a payroll or went sleepless during a recession? If he thinks that of talk radio, he must think TV news is done as a Public Service! I'll bet he'll do TV, and as often as he can.

Thanks Major Winters, for my very life.
Dick Winters, a decorated Army officer whose World War II service was recounted in the best-selling book and HBO mini-series "Band of Brothers," died Jan. 2. News reports listed his age at 92.
Based on the 1992 book by historian Stephen E. Ambrose, the HBO mini-series came out in 2001 and was produced by Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg.
The story follows the tragedies and triumphs of the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 2nd Battalion, E Company.
To Mr. Winters, these citizen-soldiers came to be known as the men of Easy Company -- paratroopers who jumped into combat on June 6, 1944 above Normandy, France.
According to Ambrose's account, Easy Company suffered 150 percent casualties throughout the war.
One of the soldiers who served in Easy Company, David Webster, once wrote that among his colleagues the Purple Heart "was not a decoration but a badge of office."

I'm Just Sayin
While everyone in the country is horrified at the violence that occurred in AZ, the MSM didn't waste one second to attribute it to a political motive. No proof. No evidence. Not a single fact or indicator to point to that conclusion. But, since when does the MSM let little things like facts stop it from making politically-biased statements as though they were facts.
There was no shortage of talking heads on the Sunday morning "news" shows, with most being Demoncrats and all furthering the MSM's phony "political motivation" theory. And the few Republicans who were called to speak seem to do what Republicans always do. They went on the defensive. On the defensive!! Then there's the local Sheriff, a big-time Demoncrat supporter, saying things like how most of the "violent" talk in the country today comes from Sarah Palin, the Tea Party, and the Right in general. Apparently, the Sheriff hasn't been told about the Anarchists and other violent Left-wing terrorists.
As usual, it's quite clear the Left, and their propaganda arm, the MSM, have decided to use the AZ. tragedy to further their own agenda. Cries of "GUN CONTROL" are of course being shouted everywhere, with guilty fingers being pointed at anyone or anything that even resembles a Republican or a conservative. It's the Lefts best chance of recouping some of the image they lost in the mid-terms.
In all of this, there's one question you won't hear asked, that being, so, just who was it that forced mental institutions to be closed all those many years ago, allowing the mentally unstable (such as the shooter) to roam among us? Who was it that said it's "not nice" to keep these "poor" people confined? Can you say "bleeding-heart liberal Demoncrat"?

Sound Familiar?
Is this a good idea, or does it remind you of people having numbers tattooed on their arms a long time ago? Wasn't that also for the purpose of ID'ing them?

A Return To Democracy?
One of the first things a dictator does when taking control of a country is to eliminate, or go around, the peoples representatives. In that way, he can pretty much do whatever he wants. Under our form of government, the congress, those who supposedly represent the people, has the role of "advise and consent", meaning they get a say as to who gets these very important positions. That is, until comrade Obummer and his traveling " i'm now your king " road show came to town.
Not surprisingly, our Marxist-in-Chief, like his pal Hugo Chavez, decided to bypass the congress when giving-out some very powerful jobs to his radical Socialist, Marxist, and Communist pals. What better way to get his Leftist agenda shoved down our throats. And, since the entire congress has been in the hands of equally radical socialists for the last three years, comrade Obummer has had a totally free hand. In fact, if you look at his choices, (he calls them "czars" ) you'll find that many of them have direct or indirect ties to American terrorists from the 60's and 70's. (Van Jones, Bill Ayers, Carol Browning, etc.) These people are in positions of power as "advisers", or actual policy-makers. That gives them the authority to make regulations that affect every single aspect of our daily lives, and they don't have to bother asking our elected representatives. Or us!
Now that the House is back in the hands of pro-Americans, Obummer's radical choices will be "reviewed ". Finally. Though the House may not be able to over-ride the Senate and the WH with this and other important matters, they do hold a "very big" ace up their sleeves. THE MONEY! Without the House, nobody can spend a dime! No regulation can be put into effect, nor can it continue, without funding. The House has the Constitutional power to de-fund any agency or program. Hopefully, (we pray) being an Obummer czar will become a totally empty title, void of power, authority, and above all, our money!

...and after the Make Over, a Revolt!!
OK, so we keep hearing about gub'ment spending and how it needs to be scaled back. I had not heard when, where or how much, but leave it to these assholes to start with the Pentagon!
.
Pentagon to cut spending by $78 billion, reduce troop strength
.
The Pentagon will have to cut spending by $78 billion over the next five years, Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates said Thursday, forcing the Army and Marine Corps to shrink the number of troops on active duty and eventually imposing the first freeze on military spending since the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.
.The surprise announcement from Gates was a reminder for the military establishment - which has benefited from a gusher of new money over the past decade - that it will not remain exempt from painful austerity measures that federal lawmakers say will be necessary to control the soaring national debt.
In a news conference to announce what he described as efficiency measures, Gates said he hopes that "what had been a culture of endless money . . . will become a culture of savings and restraint" at the Defense Department.
.
A "culture of endless money" from the Pentagon? Because as we know, that Soldiers and Sailors Union is so tough to deal with over wages and benefits, right?
.
I heard this week that the Education Department spends 46% of their money on NEW equipment every year. 46%? What happened to the shit they bought LAST year?!
.
This spending shit needs to stop alright, and gutting the military isn't the way.
.
Remember when I said Obama would push the military to defend themselves AGAINST him? This is how it starts. The same jobs to do, with fewer resources and hands. Be afraid, be very afraid.

And Now, The Make-over
I'm sure we've all seen one of those daytime TV shows where they take some poor, fat woman from the audience and put her in the hands of an army of hair dressers, make-up artists, and clothes designers, and by the third commercial break, have her looking like some Commiewood actress. Well, kind of. What this does, aside from giving the mindless women in the audience something else to applaud, is create an illusion. (ie. a false impression or image) It's an illusion because after the show, that poor woman will never again look like that and, it's not who she really is.
Well, it seems our Marxist-in-Chief is trying to do the same thing. No fancy clothes or make-up, but an illusion just the same. In his case, he is now trying to convince the American people that he is, (gulp) just like Ronald Regan, the greatest (IMO) president this country has ever had, and maybe ever will have. Is he crazy enough to think he can pull that off? Perhaps he thinks that since the American people were dumb enough to elect him once, based on nothing but lies, he can con them again. Personally, and based on my knowledge of my fellow Americans, i'm not betting against him. True, most don't like his radical Leftist policies, but, far too many say "they like him personally", as if they actually know him.
As most of us knows, comrade Obummer has been running for re-election since the day he was sworn in. He's never stopped campaigning. But seeing the shocking results of the mid-terms, he, and the people who pull his strings, (ie; George "the anti-Christ" Soros) understand that he needs to create the illusion that politically, he's moving to the center. The reality is of course, he doesn't even know what the center is. To him, the center is simply the middle of the far-Left. This is why the Left, and especially their propaganda arm, the MSM, will try their very best to make him look like Regan. The fact that he's not even in the same universe as Regan, and that he's the type of ultra-Left Marxist Regan hated, means nothing when you're creating an illusion. Will it work? Well, it did once. Perhaps between now and 2012, we'll find out if P.T. Barnum was right about people...

WTF !
Is it just me, or does it seem that soon after we spend decades, and hundreds-of-Billions developing a new weapons system, especially a new, "super-secret" plane such as our F-22 Raptor, the Chi-Coms pop up with what appears to be a carbon-copy of our fighter! Wow! Are they clairvoyant? Do they have some kind of secret crystal ball? Or, is it simply a case of the U.S. being totally incapable of keeping any kind of secret, other than how a foreigner got to be the Marxist-in-Chief...

More like a "Shirt, half-stuffed kinda guy".
By a show of hands, does anyone think RNC Chairman Michael Steele has done anything for them in the last few years? Was he instrumental in getting the Republicans back into control of the House?
OR, did they take the House IN SPITE of the RNC and Steele?
It's the latter, IMHO. Most of the new House seats are Tea Party backed, staunch Conservatives, which Steele certainly is NOT. If Steele had such good ideas on candidates and voter wants, not to mention conservative ideals, how come he backed the RINO candidate in MA and fought the Tea Party candidate in DE by backing the well connected, lifer politician candidate there?! BTW, the conservative voters of DE voted AGAINST Steele's man, and even when it was clear that Christine O'Donnell would win the Primary and afterward, Steele and the RNC did NOT help her.
Steele said HE presided over the gains last November, that HE was instrumental in the money the RNC got last year and that HE is a "glass half-full kinda guy" who knows there is still work to do. Well, I think, most of the visible Republicans we see today, Steele like Romney and McCain, is a Shirt half-stuffed kinda guy!
.
Steele, like the rest of the semi-conservative, limp spined RNC members need to go. The sooner, the better.
.
And just as an aside, the top money raiser for the RNC is Barack Hussein Obama!!. With a close second place being a tie between the disaster twins, Nancy and Harry. It was, after all, the American people being dictated to and lorded over for two years that filled to RNC coffers with fresh money and the House of Representatives with Conservative Republicans.

Constitution ‘Has No Binding Power on Anything'
So over at the WaPo, one of the Usual (Communist) Suspects says the Constitution has no binding power on anything, and it's confusing...so what's the answer!?
.
I'm sure the blog writer, Ezra Klein, would gladly shit can it for something better, like the Communist Manifesto. or Chairman Mao's Red Book. or Pol Pot's re-education camps and killing fields!.
.
NO binding power? IF that's true, then we can take over, because Obama is NOT the President any more, Biden is NOT the VP any more and Nanny Pelosi is NOT next in line any more.
.
And the military doesn't work for any of them, any more.
.
Sounds like time to throw one hell of a short, decisive revolution. Why not, there's no law AGAINST it, any more?
.
I'm locked and loaded, ever more.
