It's been eight years since the 9/11 attacks, and about seven years since the 9/11 commission told us to wake-up (LOL) and guard our borders. And as of today, "our" government doesn't have the slightest clue as to who's in this country, or the real reason they're here. Now, (now?) someone has decided that, like every other country on this planet, maybe we should start requiring people to prove who they are when they stroll into this country. What a novel idea. Even a socialist, milk-toast country like Sweden requires documents other than a Wal-Mart membership card to enter.
So why now? Perhaps the corrupt, incompetent, lying crooks who rule us were waiting for computers to advance to the point (were they have been for some time) where, according to the Secret Service, FBI, IRS, Treasury, etc., "there is no such thing as a document that can not be forged, duplicated, or copied". Besides, since the majority of the people from south of our imaginary border are already here, why bother?

Obama Closing Dealerships Owned by Republicans?
Are Democrats Behind Closing Republican-Owned Chrysler Dealerships?
It should be clear to everyone by now that neither the Chrysler Corporation nor General Motors are going quietly into bankruptcy. The actions of the Obama administration represent what, in my lifetime, is certainly an unprecedented level of government interference in private business.A number of bloggers are pointing out that the dealerships targeted for closure are owned by people who appear to be overwhelmingly Republican in their political giving patterns. In fact, one of the auto dealers happens to be a Republican member of the U.S. House of Representatives. And that, they say, suggests that partisan politics are afoot.
So it is clear the stakes are high. But is this a legal issue—or a political one, as some suggest?
What do you think?

Couple Ordered to Stop Holding Bible Study at Home Without Permit
Thursday, May 28, 2009
Pastor David Jones and his wife Mary have been told that they cannot invite friends to their San Diego, Calif. home for a bible study — unless they are willing to pay tens of thousands of dollars to San Diego County.
"On Good Friday we had an employee from San Diego County come to our house, and inform us that the bible study that we were having was a religious assembly, and in violation of the code in the county." David Jones told FOX News.
"We told them this is not really a religious assembly — this is just a bible study with friends. We have a meal, we pray, that was all," Jones said.
A few days later, the couple received a written warning that cited "unlawful use of land," ordering them to either "stop religious assembly or apply for a major use permit," the couple's attorney Dean Broyles told San Diego news station 10News.
But the major use permit could cost the Jones' thousands of dollars just to have a few friends over.
For David and Mary Jones, it's about more than a question of money.
"The government may not prohibit the free exercise of religion," Broyles told FOX News. "I believe that our Founding Fathers would roll over in their grave if they saw that here in the year 2009, a pastor and his wife are being told that they cannot hold a simple bible study in their own home."
~
In Communist countries (Red China comes to mind) you also have to have a "government permit" for religious assembly.

LOS ANGELES — An openly gay teen was voted prom queen at Los Angeles' Fairfax High School in a campaign that began as a stunt but ended up spurring discussion on the campus about gender roles and teen popularity. Sergio Garcia, 18, was crowned queen Saturday night at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel.
"I feel invincible," Garcia said in his tiara and charcoal-gray tuxedo.
A few days earlier, he gave a speech that won over some cynics and led to an ovation and his unlikely victory.
"At one time, prom may have been a big popularity contest where the best-looking guy or girl were crowned king and queen. Things have changed and it's no longer just about who has the most friends or who wears the coolest clothes," Garcia told a gymnasium full of seniors. "I'm not your typical prom queen candidate. There's more to me than meets the eye."
Garcia assured the crowd he wouldn't wear a dress on prom night.
"I will be wearing a suit," he said. "But don't be fooled, deep down I am a queen."
The school, which sits at the end of the rows of chic shops on Melrose Avenue and was once attended by members of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, has long been a haven for students who would be considered outcasts at many schools.
Garcia said he saw fliers advertising the prom and the election, and they didn't specify that the queen must be a girl. He thought the role would suit him better than prom king.
"I don't wish to be a girl," he told the Los Angeles Times. said. "I just wish to be myself."

Here We Go Again
Well, it sounds like some of the brothers and sisters from the Miami branch of the NAACP smell some big money. This time, the shake-down target is the huge Homestead NASCAR racetrack in southern FL. I've been to this track for several major races and it's an outrageous place to be for motor-heads. (although i prefer F-1 racing)
So what's their problem this time? Yep, it's the old "we hate the Confederate flag and anybody who wears it or shows it" scam. Now keep in mind, Homestead Motor Speedway is in the deep, deep, South, with lots of beer, lots of pick-up trucks, lots of guns, and lots of folks who ain't afraid to use 'em! But, when the NAACP sees a chance to intimidate someone, they're not going to pass it up, especially if there's a chance at a "compromise". (see: $$$$) Strange thing is, NASCAR is not what is generally considered a black sport (the fans are overwhelmingly White) like basketball or chain-snatching. But, money is money so it's worth a try. Maybe. I wonder what kind of health insurance those NAACP folks have...

Take a break from Obamutics.
It's not Fur Rendezvous (the second largest celebration in the US right behind Marti Gras) - but it does have to do with fur!
A bi-annual competition, this year held in the Last Frontier. Folks travel from all over the globe to compete - and yes, it's a team competition (in a way).

I bet these folks could feed 1/4 of the starving in Africa with what they comb out of those suckers every day.

...and I thought Toleda already sucked.
.
Things are tough all over, Toledo not excluded, unless you sell guns!!!
.
They're laying off policemen, so people are buying guns to protect themselves. How long before Katie Kutiepie has a story about a murder, committed by a gang banger, using a gun stolen from a little old lady, who bought it for protection?
.
She'll blame George Bush.
.
OH, and the little old lady.
.
The first round of Toledo police layoffs, in which 75 officers were let go, may already be having an affect on gun ownership.
"I just don't feel safe with the amount they're laying off," says Jonna Ewing. "I think it's going to be a longer respond time."
She is spending the day at a conceal carry class. She's been thinking of getting a gun for awhile, but feels now's the time due to the recent layoffs.
She's not alone. Case in point, someone in Jonna's class wears one those infamous police t-shirts: "I called 911 and all I got was this lousy garbage can" that showed up soon after the TPD cuts.
.
I've got 50 bucks that says the crime rate in Toledo plummets!!

Have We Had Enough Yet?
For many, many people, it's becoming tougher to continue calling America a free country. With new and intrusive laws and regulations being passed every day by the government, (including local and state governments) laws that all to often cater to the few against the wishes of the many, the people are feeling choked. Trillions of our hard-earned tax dollars are being thrown around and given away as though it were play money, and the people have nothing to say about it. Our young warriors are sent off to war in places where we have no business being, and the reasons we're given turn out to be lies. And no, voting is not the peoples chance to make their voices heard, since no matter who's in charge, nothing changes except to get worse. We have a system of govt. that's based totally on lies and corruption, controlled by hacks who couldn't care less about what the people say. They have turned our Constitution into a joke, one that they manipulate or ignore at will.
Apparently, some states have had enough. There is now a large and growing movement by states to stop the federal govt. from turning us into a nation of obedient worker-ants. I had heard about this movement some time ago, but i wasn't aware it had grown to this size. If it continues to grow, it may be the kind of movement that gives us our country back, or tears it apart. Either way, it would be (IMO) an improvement. We can not continue on this path and still call ourselves free...

Surprise, Surprise
Well, it looks like yo president Yobama has made his choice for the SCOTUS. And, it comes as no surprise to some of us that he went for judge Sonia Sotomayor, "the most extreme" Leftist on his list. While Yobama's words have convinced the American people that he wants to govern from the center, his actions tell a very different story. But, the American people don't seem to care about actions. They prefer nice words.
Judge Sotomayor is a Puerto Rican from The Bronx, NY. She's considered "a left-wing judicial activist", and a judicial bulldozer. Even though the word of her pick was made public during this mornings news, some of the media maggots are already describing her as "a moderate", (she's about as moderate as Kim Jong Ill) and the first Hispanic on the court. (funny, i thought Benjamin Cardoza, a Spanish jew, was) But don't expect facts to get in the way of her appointment. With the death of the Republican party, there's no one to stop her. With our new one-party-rules-all system of government, it's a done deal. She's in!

And who knows the ruin that comes from both of them?

Hit The Road Comrade
In what may be the only place in the country where those on the Right actually prevail over those on the Left, Liberty University in Virginia has banned the campus's Demoncrat club. The private Christian university, founded by the late Rev. Jerry Falwell, basically says the Demoncrats promote "values" that are against everything Christians believe in, which of course, is common knowledge to anyone who can still think for themselves. And since this is a private university, they may just be able to pull it off.
Personally, i'm pleased to see this happen. With the Left in full control of the government and the MSM, and with the Republican party now DOA, those of us on the Right are being hounded in almost every part of this country. We're being ignored, laughed at, and treated as 4th class citizens with absolutely no voice in anything, save for a few radio talk-show hosts.
But, (IMO) most of this is our own fault. Why? Because we don't fight back! As i've said many times, the only way to beat the Left is to use their tactics against them, something Conservatives and Republicans don't seem to have the stomach for. (you can't win a war playing by the rules) Just this past week, we saw Queen Botox almost dethroned by the righteous (albeit weak) attack from Republicans. Now, she's gone on the offensive and it seems she'll survive. Why? Because the attack was weak, and the Republicans backed off for fear of being seen as "too aggressive, not nice, etc. Not only did they let her off the hook, but they've now invited a counter attack, one that's already working. If those of us on the Right have any hope of getting our country back, the gloves must come off. And stay off!

..and from the WSJ, a column by Captain Obvious
.
With Jobs Scarce, Age Becomes an Issue
.
More Young Workers Are at Risk of Layoffs as Employers Grow Wary of Letting Older Employees Go
.
By DANA MATTIOLI
Age discrimination in the workplace has long been a concern for the 55-and-older set. In this downturn, however, younger workers may have as much to fear as their more-mature colleagues.
Employees in their 20s and 30s are finding themselves more at risk of a layoff, according to labor lawyers, as employers look to avoid age-discrimination lawsuits by adopting a "last one in, first one out" policy and turn to tenure as a means of conducting layoffs. In some cases, young, childless professionals say they feel they're being targeted in layoffs, while employees who have families to support are given special consideration.
While no age group is exempt from layoffs, younger workers seem to be shouldering a larger percentage of the burden, according to recent Labor Department figures. The unemployment rate for those between the ages of 25 and 34 was 9.6% in April 2009, up from 4.9% a year earlier. For those ages 55 and older, the unemployment rate was 6.2% in April 2009, compared with 3.3% a year earlier.
.
Wary of Lawsuits
While younger workers tend to earn the lowest salaries, making them the least-expensive workers to retain, companies are becoming wary of laying off older, better-paid workers.
.
Employers are wary of laying off the older workers? Or better still, the older workers could be more knowledgeable, more reliable, have a better track record, and thus, are better suited to retention.
.
I'm assuming the WSJ is keeping this columnist, because of said writers insights, or age. It would seem, being a journalist the writer shows no concept of real world working experience.

Paid Vacation will stimulate the economy.
.
That's right, Paid Vacation will spur the economy, according to Rep. Alan Grayson (D-FL) anyway.
.
Companies with 100 employees will have to give 1 week vacation to anyone with one years service, then in 3 years it goes to 2 weeks, AND companies with 50 employees would be opted in for the week.

Company OWNER maximum allowable pay will undoubtedly be next.

N.Y. Police: Terror Suspects Wanted to 'Commit Jihad'
.
Four men sought to wage a holy war against America when they plotted to bomb two New York City synagogues and shoot down military planes in upstate New York, authorities said Thursday.
New York City Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly told reporters that James Cromitie, David Williams, Onta Williams and Laguerre Payen of Newburgh, N.Y., "wanted to commit Jihad" and were angry about Muslims being killed in Afghanistan and Pakistan by U.S. military forces.
The men allegedly planned to detonate a car with plastic explosives outside the Riverdale Temple, a Reform synagogue, and an Orthodox synagogue called the Riverdale Jewish Center, located a few blocks apart in the Bronx.
They also intended to shoot military planes at the Air National Guard Base in Newburgh, N.Y., with Stinger surface-to-air guided missiles, authorities said.

Vegetarian Bacon Salt
You know those random banner ads that are on every web page you visit? Well, I just saw one that made me want to know more. The name of the product is "Bacon Salt".
I found their website, http://www.baconsalt.com/, and what I read on the front page made me grin.
Bacon Salt is a zero calorie, zero fat, vegetarian and kosher seasoning that makes everything taste like bacon.
Is there really a huge demand for making things taste like bacon in the vegetarian and kosher communities?
I had to look around the site, and found that not only do they make Bacon Salt, they make an entire line of bacon-flavored products. They sell Baconnaise (yes, it's what you think it is) as well as Baconnaise Lite, an entire line of seasonings and the coup de grâce: Bacon lip balm.
I don't know if I'm brave enough to try it myself, but if it's not sold at a fine retailer near you, never fear. The web site also says that their products are available through Amazon.com (go ahead and click it) and QVC.

Congress votes to allow guns in national parks
The approval is a bitter disappointment for gun-control advocates
WASHINGTON - In a stinging defeat for gun-control, the U.S. Congress has voted to allow people to carry loaded guns in national parks and wildlife refuges. Is this the beginning of a 2010 rebellion? Let's hope so.

News 8 Investigates: Airline Mechanics Who Can't Read English;
Saturday, May 16, 2009
By BYRON HARRIS / WFAA-TV
News 8 has recently revealed serious flaws in the way the FAA licenses mechanics who fix planes. There is evidence of years of problems in testing these mechanics. There is also evidence that hundreds of mechanics with questionable licenses are working on aircraft in Texas. Now there is evidence of repair facilities hiring low-wage mechanics who can't read English.
Twenty-one people were killed when U.S. Airways Express Flight 5481 crashed in Charlotte, North Carolina in 2003. The plane went wildly out of control on takeoff.
One reason for the crash, investigators found, was that mechanics incorrectly connected the cables to some of the plane's control surfaces in the repair shop. The FAA was cited for improper oversight of the repair process.
Repairing airplanes is a complicated business. Airplanes have many manuals. Typically, when mechanics repair a part, they open the manual, consult the book, and make the repair step-by-step, as if it were a recipe book. They make a list of every action they take, so the next person to fix the plane (as well as the people who fly it) will know exactly what has been done. If mechanics don't speak English, the international language of aviation, they can't read the manual and they can't record their activities.
There are more than 236 FAA-certified aircraft repair stations in Texas, according to the FAA's Web site. News 8 has learned that hundreds of the mechanics working in those shops do not speak English and are unable to read repair manuals for today's sophisticated aircraft. Former FAA inspector Bill McNease told News 8 he regularly encountered applicants for pilots’ licenses who tried to pretend they could speak English — but could not. "When I was based in Dallas, I had that happen every week," McNease said. "It was not uncommon at all to have foreign flight students. We had mechanics, but I handled the pilot end of it.... and I turned down people every week because they couldn't speak English."
"There are people [where I work] who do not know how to read a maintenance manual as they are spelled out, because they don't have a clue," said one certified aircraft mechanic who works at a Texas aircraft repair station. He wished to remain anonymous to protect his employment.
To certify a part for flight or repair an engine, a mechanic must be licensed by the FAA as an Airframe and Power plant mechanic, known in the business as an "A&P." News 8 discovered that mechanics at one licensing center in San Antonio were being tested in Spanish as late as last fall. The FAA ultimately shut the facility down. Supervisors in Texas repair stations say they are supposed to oversee the repairs of dozens of untrained mechanics who can't read the manuals and can't write down the work they've done. But the FAA does not require every person working at a repair station to be a certified A&P. One certified A&P can sign off on the work of dozens of uncertified mechanics.
That creates a huge problem, another certified mechanic told News 8. "I need an interpreter to talk to these people," he said. "They can't read the manuals, they can't write, and I have so many working for me I can't be sure of the work they've done."
To be sure of proper quality, the supervisor has to either re-do the work himself, or take the chance that no mistakes have been made. There is a push to get work out the door and planes back in the air. But when he signs his name to certify the repair for flight, he is legally responsible for it.
The root of the problem is money, mechanics say. A certified mechanic can earn upwards of $25 an hour in Texas. Technicians who can't speak English are often hired for less than $10, according to mechanics interviewed by News 8. "I've been wanting to leave this company since the day I got there," said one certified A&P. "But with the economy the way it is, I've got kids to feed and I have to stay there. I don't want to be anywhere near one of those planes when it kills somebody."
The FAA is supposed to police repair stations, but insiders say the agency is more focused on looking at paperwork than inspecting the facilities. Insiders also say inspectors warn repair stations when they're coming. "In Dallas, most of them would map it out and tell them what day they were going to be there," said Gene Bland, a former FAA inspector. Safety, mechanics say, is at risk. "In my opinion," said one, "company owners should all be locked up because someones going to die eventually, if it hasn't already happened."
Texas' two biggest airlines, American and Southwest, both require mechanics and the technicians who work under them to speak, read and write English.
But mechanics who work elsewhere — whose repairs often end up on commercial airliners — say their shops are filled with non-English speakers.
The FAA declined to be interviewed for this report.

No wonder Speaker Pelosi is a bitch!!
.
Here's the proof, she's bitchy, because she's 180 degrees out from happy!
.
Happiness Is ... Being Old, Male and Republican
.
Americans grow happier as they age, surveys find. And a new Pew Research Center survey shows the tendency is holding up as the economy tanks.
Happiness is a complex thing. Past studies have found that happiness is partly inherited, that Republicans are happier than Democrats and that old men tend to be happier than old women.
And even before the economy got nasty, seniors were found to be generally happier than Baby Boomers. Some of that owes to the American Dream being lived by past generations, while Boomers work two jobs and watch the dream wither.

Schteveo is 2 out of 3, and remember what Meatloaf said.

4 extra tickets
I have four extra tickets for the Robbie Knievel (son of Evil Knievel) event at the Ford Center next weekend in Beaumont, Texas, if anybody wants them.
He's going to try to jump 1,000 Obama supporters with a bulldozer. Should be a good time.

My Man, Joe Biden
I mean, is this guy great, or what? Personally, i look at VP Joe (plugs) Biden as God's gift to Conservatives. I'm almost sorry i didn't vote for him when he ran for the WH. This guy's a riot. He's a laugh-a-minute! And the best part of this story is that he was burned by Eleanor Clift, one of the biggest Leftists in the MSM. I just love it!
Of course, if you're president Yomama, or one of the congressional Demoncrats, you probably have a somewhat different opinion. In fact, i'll bet the name "Vince Foster" comes up a lot when Dumbocrats talk privately about what to do with this VP. Me? I say make the guy president! We all need a good laugh...

Finally !
It looks like some Saudi inventor has come up with a solution to all our problems. Well, many of them anyway. With everyone so uptight, i doubt this idea will get off the ground, but just imagine. Of course, it would require that "we" (not the Left) be in control of it. Keep dreaming...

Yellowstone Whiz Kids
The world is their urinal...
~
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - Two seasonal Yellowstone National Park concessionaire employees have been fired after they were caught urinating into the iconic Old Faithful geyser.
~
The geyser was not erupting at the time.
~
The Old Faithful geyser was unaffected by the incident.
~
I have to ask... Was that last sentence really necessary - or are there actually people out there who are dense enough to believe you can affect a geyser by peeing in it?
Sheesh.

Wouldn't Ya Just Know It?
Now i know it's going to shock some of you to find out that "your" government is, shall we say, somewhat less than efficient. Recently, after financially raping every tax payer in the country, yo president Obongo, and the corrupt, lying, cretins in his congress, decided to give something back ($250.) to all the fools who pay their taxes. They call it a stimulus. I call it about enough for a tank-full of gas.
So what's the problem? Well, the mental midgets over at the Social Security Administration seem to think that dead people should also get this stimulus. Maybe they think it will stimulate them back to life? It seems that some of the tens-of-thousands of people who work at the SSA have sent out thousands of checks to dead people! That's right kids, dead people. The SSA is admitting to 8-10 thousand checks that were sent out, which means it's probably more like 80-100 thousand. So far, no one seems to have the courage to ask how many of the 40-50 million illegals got checks too. Perhaps we don't want to know the answer...
Can you say, FUBAR?

In reversal, Obama seeks to block abuse photos
Why did Maobama decide to block abuse photos? The answer may lie here.
"What should I do? I know! Let's take a poll and see what the majority of people think!"
Thank God the majority of Americans have the correct opinion THIS TIME. But what about when they don't?
Six in ten people questioned in a CNN/Opinion Research Corporation survey released Wednesday believe that some of the procedures, such as water boarding, were a form of torture, with 36 percent disagreeing.
But half the public approves of the Bush administration's decision to use of those techniques during the questioning of suspected terrorists, with 50 percent in approval and 46 percent opposed.

I didn't see "Slumdog Millionaire". The story didn't interest me.. For those not in the know, it's about a young man winning India's version of "Who wants to be a Millionaire". I guess the twist is he grew up in the slums of Mumbai, but is very smart.(anyway)
.
.
note: for those not acquainted, Mumbai used to be called Bombay by round eye, light skinned Englishmen
.
.
Evidently the persons wanting to be millionaires are the producers, adult actors, distributors of "Slumdog", and they're apt to stay that way given their generosity toward the child actors from the movie.
.
Since this gem hit the theaters, there have been repeated stories about the slums, the slum dwellers, the slum dwellers being pissed off about being called slum dwellers, ad infinitum, ad nauseum. But a thread of truth seems to have escaped through the stories. It would appear that the movie types (read as Hollywood / London Liberals) have NOT spread the wealth.
.
This movie made about $326 million, on an investment of just $5 million to make the flick. That's a pretty good return on their money.
.
But that is being kept in hand at the Hollywood / London level I guess. There's a story out today about the primary child actor's home being bulldozed, off of the sewer right of way, in preparation for this years monsoon season.
.
My question is this, if the movie made that kind of money, this kid didn't make even enough to move his family out of the slums? Or if ignorance of how to handle money is the issue, no one could set them up an annuity to get the family moved?
.
Seems to me it would be easy to save a few lives, if you made a couple HUNDRED million dollars profit off their backs. At a minimum they could do like they think we should do, share the wealth, the lying, one-way assholes.

Good News from last November's Elections!!
.If you're a Democrat, that is.

Report: One-fourth of overseas votes go uncounted
.
WASHINGTON —
One out of every four ballots requested by military personnel and other Americans living overseas for the 2008 election may have gone uncounted, according to findings being released at a Senate hearing Wednesday.
Sen. Charles Schumer, chairman of the Senate Rules and Administration Committee, said the study, while providing only a snapshot of voting patterns, "is enough to show that the balloting process for service members is clearly in need of an overhaul."
The committee, working with the Congressional Research Service, surveyed election offices in seven states with high numbers of military personnel: California, Florida, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Texas, Washington and West Virginia.
.
Yeah, they couldn't find the troops. Or the ships they were on. I guess that pesky GPS stuff was on the fritz.

Felonious Thinking? YES!
"We don't care about any overt action, it's the thought we care about because if we control the thought, we control the action," (from George Orwell's "1984")
Now that democracy is dead in Amerika, and we are being ruled by the all-knowing, enlightened, intellectually superior, radical Left, and thanks to PC we're no longer free to speak, are we still free to think? IMO, the answer is no! In fact, if you're not part of the far-Left, many of the things we now think have already been deemed "inappropriate and unacceptable" by our new masters, meaning they're just one small step away from being illegal. And under this new law, you may just end up going to jail for those thoughts. Yes kiddies, the hypothetical, and often joked about notion of a Thought Police is now becoming a reality.
The so-called Hate Crime Laws were invented not only to give gays special legal protections, but in fact, to make them a special class of citizens, with rights and protections above and beyond those afforded to the rest of us. Of course, if that law were created to protect, say, only Catholics, or fat people, or tall people, or left-handed people, it would be clearly unconstitutional. Apparently, the law makes special exceptions when it comes to political pandering...

Did you ever think you'd see the day when an African-American was punished for being, an African-American? Well, it's kind of a trick question because in this case, this African-American is White. But that's not the only thing that makes him different from the millions of black phonies we have here who also call themselves AA's, even though they've never been anywhere near Africa. This guy's the real deal, since he was actually born in South Africa!
Did that save him from the punishment he received? It did not, because obviously, his real crime is the fact that he's White...

pleae explain this to me.....
U.S. stimulus to save 3.5 million jobs by end 2010: official
I think it sez that no matter what the unemployment number is at the end of 2010, Obama's stimulus plan will have saved 3.5 million jobs, because they "feel" that without the stimulus plan the number would be 3.5 million higher

Just the title is creepy
Do you know why growing up is so hard? Because everyone else in the family (namely your parents) think they know what's good for you and forces you to conform to their rules. Well, what if they're wrong?
Enter "Consentual Parenting", where all family members enjoy the same level of power.
Want to wear your Halloween costume every day for 6 months? Ok.
Feeling grumpy the day that mommy has her doctor's appointment and don't want to go with her? Mommy will change her plans.
Did you hit someone and don't want to apologize? That's ok. If you're going to apologize, it should be genuine.
Wow. I feel REALLY sorry for the poor teachers that are going to end up with these gems in their classrooms. Say nothing to their eventual employers (if they ever make it that far).
PS - Don't skip the comment section after the article.

WTF is wrong with people?!
.
The fact that I'm on this blog as much as I am proves I have WAY too much time on my hands. But when I'm not posting or commenting, I am NOT texting, YIMming, tweeting, or grouping.
.
As a simple matter of fact, I hate most of that crap.
.
I come in here to see what interests other people and to post my interests or comment on same. I don't come in here to seek solace or because I'm lonely. Nor do I post / comment because my ideas are SO pithy they can't wait.
.
But, there are people out there, you know them, people who can't go 5 minutes without touching their electronic umbilicus to their group(s). It's electronic masturbation for most of them.
.
But what about idiots at work who are jerking off their electronic device instead of actually working? No big deal if you work at Wal-Mart or BK, right? What if that turns dangerous and causes YET ANOTHER train wreck?
.
Boston. Subway crash. Driver TEXTING. No deaths, JUST 40 injuries.
.
Here's my next text, "...hang his stupid ass!!!"

.
Schteveo has NEVER sent a text message, he never found a need

I come in here to see what interests other people and to post my interests or comment on same. I don't come in here to seek solace or because I'm lonely. Nor do I post / comment because my ideas are SO pithy they can't wait.

The Death of America: Part 25
Will being a freedom-loving, free-thinking American, rather than a mindless, Kool-Aid gulping dupe, soon be illegal? Well, if the people who pull Yobama's strings have anything to do with it, (and they have everything to do with it) it just may happen. In fact, IMO, it's already started. Yobama's choice to run the Department of Homeland Stupidity, former AZ. governor Butch Napolitano, has decided that many freedom-loving Americans, and she/he/it has included our returning war heroes, are terrorists! Of course, in her/his/it's world, a terrorist is someone who has the audacity to disagree with, or oppose in any way, Yobama becoming King of America.
To paraphrase Karl Marx, some of the basic things one needs to do in order to control a nation and it's people without military action are;
1. Control the minds of their young. (they already control academia)
2. Control their source of information. (they also own the MSM)
3. Control the lawmakers. ( "our" leftist, lying, corrupt, congress )
4. Control the courts. (they have most, and soon the SCOTUS too?)
Now do you understand why most of the country's gun shops and sporting goods stores are totally out of stock?

Not quite criket, eh Governor
.
Periodically we hear about exporting our national pastimes overseas. I don't have a problem watching normal, seasonal events from distant places. It's about as far to London, as it is to L.A., from my house in Norf Cakalacky. I've seen baseball from Tokyo, NASCAR from Mexico and football from Europe. REGULAR season, or pre-season, events. NOT the championships. I will watch some stuff from other countries.
.
But the Super Bowl, from LONDON!!!
.
I think not. Likewise there's a reason the Soccer (football), rugby and cricket finals don't come from Chicago, or Boise, or Des Moines.

Obama, Aliens and Harry Potter... Oh My!
Not only does this article have an "interesting" subject matter, it was written in an "interesting" manner. It made me giggle, and I had to share. I wonder what his other articles are like?

The Ugly Side of Irony
OK so in order to memorialize flight 93 and the passengers who gave their lives defending our nation we are going to steal property from other Americans to build an insanely sized memorial? If I were on that flight, I would be rolling in my grave about now. They gave their lives to save lives not destroy them

I've got it, we'll "beam" them off the planet!!
.
Periodically, some "evil entity" would run amok on the Enterprise, one of them or all of them, and they'd get the "evil entity" to the transporter and they'd beam it off the ship, into a HUGE dispersed cloud of useless sub-atomic pieces.
.
Maybe we could beam the useless entities out of D.C., and into the cosmos. Or we could leave this PC planet behind and go space faring.

Star Trek's Warp Drive: Not Impossible
.
The warp drive, one of Star Trek's hallmark inventions, could someday become science instead of science fiction.
Some physicists say the faster-than-light travel technology may one day enable humans to jet between stars for weekend getaways. Clearly it won't be an easy task. The science is complex, but not strictly impossible, according to some researchers studying how to make it happen.
The trick seems to be to find some other means of propulsion besides rockets, which would never be able to accelerate a ship to velocities faster than that of light, the fundamental speed limit set by Einstein's General Relativity.

Obama Signed Death Warrants... Bo Dietl
The following is from the GOPUSA newsletter. Sorry it's so long but it's worth the read.
"What would happen [Mr. Obama] if, God forbid, your two daughters were kidnapped by Al Qaeda?"
FOX News analyst, Bo Dietl demanded an answer to that hypothetical question because he'd like to know... in fact, we'd all like to know!
But let's take Dietl's hypothetical question a step further.
What would happen if we knew the men who staged the kidnapping were members of a world-wide ring of cutthroat terrorists and we had some of their ringleaders in custody?
What would happen if members of our intelligence community questioned these terrorists aggressively... deprived them of sleep, locked them up in a small dark room ... poured some water in their mouths for a few seconds - all in order to coerce them to divulge information that ACTUALLY SAVED THE LIVES of his precious daughters?
Do you believe, for one minute, that President Obama would look at these U.S. intelligence agents in utter disgust and say "Thank you for saving the lives of my girls but your tactics are never called for under any circumstances. And despite the fact that you were following orders from your superiors, the U.S. Government is going to release the details of everything you did for the whole world to see... then we might throw you in jail for doing your job."
Do you believe that Obama would retaliate against these U.S. interrogators by publishing photographs of them questioning the terrorists so that other members of this terrorist ring could then retaliate against these interrogators and their families?
Well guess what? THAT IS EFFECTIVELY WHAT BARACK OBAMA JUST DID when he chose to release classified legal memos detailing the interrogation techniques used on high value detainees in the aftermath of 9/11 - allowing the possibility of prosecution and certainty of persecution of those involved.
"Sick, disgusting and intolerable" don't even begin to describe Obama's actions.
Obama and liberals in Congress and the media are definitely crossing the line.
Initially, when the liberals in Congress started making ridiculous accusations, Obama said he wanted to look forward... that he thought we should move on.
Then Obama flip-flopped and authorized the SELECTIVE release of top secret memos... memos and photographs which detail the interrogation techniques that were used on hardened terrorists to uncover plots to kill innocent Americans!
Scrambling to straddle the fence, Team Obama immediately staged a media circus at the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Obama"reassured" a crowd of FBI employees:
"This is a tough business, but it is essential to protecting our country. Because in the end, it's your hard work that makes the difference -- your decisions, your analysis, your action. Because of you, the men and women of the FBI, the American people are safer and our country is stronger."
And while Obama ran for cover, the B team went to work. The other shoe dropped when The New York Times hit us with this bombshell:
"Liberal Democrats on Capitol Hill, including some of its most powerful members, are pressing for the impeachment of a federal judge over the Bush Administration's 'torture memos,' an aggressive move President Obama has no official power to stop."
"No official power to stop?"
Give me a break.
Obama authorizes the release of memos and photographs of interrogation techniques that places the lives of U.S. intelligence operatives and the lives of their families in imminent danger.
Or as Dietl put it; "You [Obama] just signed... possibly... death warrants for these guys."
Then, when Congressional liberals and the Leftist media picked up the ball, Obama essentially threw his hands up in the air and said: Hey, this isn't my fault... I'm powerless to stop this... this blood is not on my hands.
This isn't even politics-as-usual; this is the sick stuff of tyrannical third-world dictatorships. It's a nightmare straight out of George Orwell's 1984.
Only the American people can put an end to this absurd foolishness and we must put a stop to it now.
No Good Deed Goes Unpunished.
We didn't see it coming because our capacity to gather intelligence, in part, had been emasculated during the Clinton years.
We did know, however, that more brutal attacks WERE coming... we knew that more Americans WOULD die at the hand of a fanatical enemy that lusted for the blood of Americans... and we had no way of finding out when or where!
Our only sources of intelligence were the blood-thirsty terrorists that we had captured on the battlefield.
We knew we had to take off the gloves, but we also knew that we could only go so far because the United States DOES NOT TORTURE PEOPLE. We don't break bones... we don't starve human beings or deprive them of medical treatment and simply allow them to die... we don't video-tape beheadings for the world to watch.
And here's the kicker, we were so concerned about crossing the line that people were specifically tasked with making very difficult and often subjective decisions as to how far our people could go during interrogations.
We actually handcuffed our own people for the sake of our higher ideals.
But that's not all. According to former Vice President Dick Cheney, these aggressive interrogation techniques actually WORKED:
"One of the things that I find a little bit disturbing about this recent disclosure is they put out the legal memos, the memos that the CIA got from the Office of Legal Counsel, but they didn't put out the memos that showed the success of the effort... . And there are reports that show specifically what we gained as a result of this activity. They have not been declassified."
Dietl again:
"They interrogated some of the worse criminals on earth... and they got information that stopped a lot of terrorist attacks."
You don't ruin people... put their lives in danger... put their families in harm's way as a reward for doing the impossible.
The Hypocrisy Continues...
We were so concerned about crossing the line that Members of Congress were fully briefed on exactly what our intelligence people were doing... even Nancy Pelosi.
But wait a minute; Pelosi recently has been huffing and puffing the loudest. She protested, like Sgt. Schultz from the old television series Hogan's Heroes, that she knew nothing.
Not according to The Nation:
"Now, however, comes the news that Pelosi knew as early as 2002... and, far from objecting, appears to have cheered the tactics on."
It's pretty bad when a publication as liberal as The Nation calls out another liberal, but Pelosi wasn't the only one giving the thumbs-up. According to the same article, no one objected and two Members of Congress wanted to know if our interrogation techniques (yes, even water-boarding) "were tough enough."
Hypocrisy, thy name is Pelosi.
Suzanne Miller, writing for The Boston Herald perhaps said it better:
"Talk about torturing people, it is sheer torture to keep hearing the lies and vengeance cravings from House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.... The third in line for the presidency (God help us) speaker seems to think it is OK to lie about the so-called torture of terrorists during the Bush administration, saying she did not know about it. What a joke, of course she did and it can be proven!"
So... is anyone on the left calling for Pelosi to be dragged in front of a federal grand jury?
Of course not. And why not?
The New York Times, inadvertently, may have given us the answer.
In its apparent glee to lead The Charge of the Left Brigade, The Times ominously warned that "this cannot be the end of the scrutiny" and demanded that the "investigation should START with the lawyers" who authored the memos. [Emphasis Mine]
"Start?"
What did The Times mean by "start?"
Several paragraphs later, The Times let it all hang out.
"If that means putting Donald Rumsfeld and Alberto Gonzales on the stand, even Dick Cheney, we are sure Americans can handle it."
In its zeal, The Times let the cat out of the bag.
The radical left wants to start at the bottom and work all the way up the chain. The radical left wants to go after EVERYBODY!
And here's the sickest part.
The people who Pelosi and company are going to step on as they claw their way to the top are the patriotic Americans who specifically PREVENTED THE ACTUAL TORTURE OF TERRORIST DETAINEES. They are the pawns in this cruel game of ruining political enemies who may wind up losing everything -- possibly even their lives - for the unpardonable sin of serving and protecting their country!

How Typical
How do you catch a $50. rowboat filled with a few filthy cretins?
Well, if you're America, you spend several hundred millions on a new toy! (talk about using an elephant gun to kill a fly) Perhaps i'm being simplistic but, what is the problem with putting a few armed guards aboard these tankers with orders to kill anyone they see in a rowboat? A few weeks ago, four of our incredible Navy SEALS solved the problem with about $10. worth of ammo! With all the fancy gunships, jet fighters, satellites, laser beams, UAV's, missiles, and God only knows what else we have, do we really need this thing to kill a few lowlifes ?

Could It Be?
Could this be true? Is this a sign that America is not completely dead? Apparently, there are still some real Americans left, besides us. These folks sound like they're ready to go to war with yo president Obomber! I just wonder what our fascist govt. will say about this.

Personal note
When I announced that I was pregnant, several of you said that you wanted pictures. So, here's baby's first picture (at 19 weeks). We've got a long way to go before there's going to be a "real" picture, but I thought I would share.
And before the flood of questions comes, baby was folded in half and refused to budge, so we don't know the gender.

Thanks. Now Get Lost.
It seems the Iraqi govt., whatever that is, now wants our warriors out of their country. Now that the heavy lifting is done, and Zillions of dollars worth of our equipment is sitting there, they want us gone. Whenever we get ourselves involved in other peoples business, (which is like always) the outcome is always the same. We waste hundreds-of-billions, lose thousands of brave, valuable, American heroes, then we get the boot. I would much rather see GWB getting kicked out of Iraq, (literally) than see our heroes being told to leave.
Don't get me wrong. I'm very happy our warriors are finally coming home. (but why not all of them?) In fact, i never saw the reason for them to be sent there in the first place. I also don't see what we gained for the very heavy price we paid in Iraq. But, we live in a country where we're ruled by a bunch of elected, lying, incompetent crooks, so i guess we don't have much to say about our foreign policy, or anything else. No wonder the world sees us as a joke...

Don't kiss any pigs, you could make them sick!!
.
There are several stories out in the last few days saying the H1N1, swine flu, is NOT as serious as the medicos originally thought. Honestly, that was my initial reaction, I did NUTHIN' It seemed like 100 cases, with 10 deaths, in a city of 20 million, was pretty minimal. And no one ever said, "...30 to 35 THOUSAND deaths yearly from the flu is the norm...", until well after the start of the talk about DEATHS from the flu. So, to me anyway, it seemed like much ado about nothing.
.
On top of that, of course, was this blurb. One of America's best and brightest, Paris Hilton thinks swine flu affects pigs. But, then again, she could be right!

If you want to understand THE REALITY OF ISLAM spreading around the world, watch this video.
This is a piece of information we would all probably rather ignore, but we cannot afford to ignore this! It is a critical issue, which definitely affects you and me, and certainly our children and grandchildren. Be afraid, be very afraid.
