N.Y. Police: Terror Suspects Wanted to 'Commit Jihad'

Four men sought to wage a holy war against America when they plotted to bomb two New York City synagogues and shoot down military planes in upstate New York, authorities said Thursday.
New York City Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly told reporters that James Cromitie, David Williams, Onta Williams and Laguerre Payen of Newburgh, N.Y., "wanted to commit Jihad" and were angry about Muslims being killed in Afghanistan and Pakistan by U.S. military forces.
The men allegedly planned to detonate a car with plastic explosives outside the Riverdale Temple, a Reform synagogue, and an Orthodox synagogue called the Riverdale Jewish Center, located a few blocks apart in the Bronx.
They also intended to shoot military planes at the Air National Guard Base in Newburgh, N.Y., with Stinger surface-to-air guided missiles, authorities said.

Ironically, the same people they were planning to attack will be the first to defend them.
"We should not need any stinking permit to carry a gun, concealed or otherwise.
We should not have to show "cause" for the need to carry a gun, concealed or otherwise.
We have a permit that our Founding Fathers gave us. It is called the Second Amendment.
I don't even care if criminals carry guns (because they will carry guns no matter what the law is) as long as YOU and I can carry a gun to balance the equation.
It is when laws are passed that restrict law abiding citizens from carrying weapons to protect themselves that the balance of power shifts into the hands of
criminals and the State [getting hard to tell the difference as each play pretty loose with the rule of law].
