“Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.” - Winston Churchill
By Ben Stein on 3.22.11 (American Spectator )
Maybe I missed something, but wasn't that The Constitution of the United States of America that we just laid to rest this weekend? It was buried in a private ceremony by Mr. Barack Obama of Chicago as he silently signed America on to the One World Government some of us have been worried about for decades.
Look at it this way: Where did Mr. Obama get the authority to commit United States forces to war in Libya? There was no declaration of war. There was no authorizing resolution by Congress allowing money to be spent on a war against Col. Gaddafi. As far as I know, there was no meeting of Mr. Obama and top leaders of Congress to discuss the subject in even rough form, let alone detail. There was no lengthy buildup in which the Congress was "allowed" to express the people's opinion on whether we want to be in a third concurrent war. There was just a vote by the United Nations Security Council, a very far from unanimous vote, and suddenly, the President's Secretary of State, Mrs. Hillary Rodham Clinton, solemnly announced that we were at war.
But, when did we amend the Constitution to declare that the United Nations had control over our military? When did we abolish the part of the Constitution that said Congress had the right to declare war? Now, I well know that in recent postwar conflicts, we don't have declarations of war. But we have Congressional debates. We have funding votes. We have a sense of the Congress or some kind of resolution. This time, zip. Nada. Nothing. Just France and the U.K. and Norway saying that it's time to go to war, and off America goes to war. And off Mr. and Mrs. Obama go to a South American "fact finding" trip for the POTUS and a fun sightseeing junket for the Obama girls.(I wonder if there has ever before in history been a national leader who sent his country to war -- and the same day went off on vacation. Has that ever happened before?)
Something's missing here. Libya and Col. Gaddafi were and are no threat to the United States. It is sad and cruel that the Gaddafi regime was murdering its own civilians, but so do many governments all across the world, including North Korea, Iran, the Ivory Coast, Zimbabwe, and Cuba. Are we going to war with all of them, now? Meanwhile, again, what the heck happened to the Constitution? Is this Mr. Obama's legacy to our children? The junking of the Constitution in the middle of the night and the turnover of our sovereignty to the United Nations? (By the way, this is the same UN where Libya until recently sat on the Commission on Human Rights.) Why aren't any questions being asked? Is the Constitution that meaningless to us? Are we that pitiful now? Are we willing to toss overboard the Constitution for the writ of the United Nations? I guess so. Sad days...

BUSTED !
Is it shocking news to learn that the hard-core Left is made-up of liars who manipulate the truth simply to keep their political power? No, not at all, but it is nice (albeit very rare) to see one of them get busted while doing it, and by members of their MSM.
Yesterday, during what was supposed to be a private conference call, NY Sen. comrade Chuck (lens-lice) Schumer, (BTW, we call him lens-lice because it is said that the most dangerous place to be standing in DC is between Chuckie and a TV camera that's been turned on) was heard telling his fellow Demoncrat Leftist senators what to say, and how to say it, with emphasis on the word "extreme", so that all the blame for the typical stalemate in congress would be blamed on the Republicans, and of course, the Tea Party. Yes, we know this is something the Demoncrats do every day, but when was the last time they were caught on tape.
And to prove how delusional these Leftists really are, all of the Leftist media outlets like CNN and MSNBC, were using the very word in their reporting of congressional goings on as comrade Chuckie had told them to say, and, it was "after" the story broke about him getting busted! Obviously, they believe if you simply ignore something, it'll go away. How typical...

It's Official. It's War!
The radical Left has now, "openly and officially" declared war on Fox. This declaration comes from Media-Matters, one of the 1,200 or so Leftist organizations owned and/or controlled by the anti-Christ, George Soros. Yes, i know they attack Fox on a daily basis, but now it's news because this is the first time that i'm aware of that the radical left has actually come out and said so. Normally, they opt for sneak attacks, sniping through 3rd and 4th parties, and cheap shots from their army of bloggers. This time, it's a frontal assault. Why now? Well, there are probably quite-a-few reasons. The 2012 elections. Fox's ratings which are killing the Leftist TV networks. There's also the possibility that the Left, knowing full-well what happened in the Nov. mid-terms, and fearing that, just maybe, with the WH and a bunch of seats in the Senate up for grabs, the same thing could happen in 2012. Perhaps they feel this is the right time to attack while they still control the majority of the MSM, meaning, if Fox does come out on top of this war, the Left can simply spin the facts to make it appear that they have won. As usual. As some of you know, i'm no fan of Fox. I dislike their circus atmosphere, their sensationalizing of everything, their on-air ego-maniacs, their addiction to PC-speak, and their devotion to their #1 priority, showing as many commercials as possible. Also, IMO, they're not as conservative as many believe. Of course, when compared with CNN and MSNBC, they do appear to be right-wing. For those of us who enjoy watching battles, this should be very interesting. Is this the Left fighting for 100% control of all media, and wanting it to be official? Or is this simply some new PR tactic from the masters of the game? http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0311/51949.html (P.S. sorry there are no paragraph breaks, but the site is screwed-up and wouldn't let me)

Anybody looking for a good read?
Here's a book that will make your MFing head explode!!! My brains are laying across the room right now, as I type this.
.
Go get a copy of
"The Third Terrorist: the Middle East Connection to the Oklahoma City Bombing"
by Jayna Davis.
.
I bought mine for $10 including shipping from Amazon. Those of you in large cities can probably find it in a used book store. I looked in BOTH of the local used book stores, couldn't find it, but I digress.
.
This book lays out, and verifies, the connection between McVeigh & Nichols, Ramzi Yousef (he built the TWC bomb in 1993), Osama bin Laden, the Abu Sayyaf in the Philippines, the worldwide Islamic Terror Organization in general, 9/11 and various people of Radical Islamic background who are STILL wandering America freely! For instance, Hussain Al-Hussaini
It proves in countless ways how Janet Reno, Bill Clinton and numerous Congress critters in those days and numerous Federal Offals since then, including GWB and his administration and the current WH goon squad, have ALL ignored the true facts of the case.
.
If you've ever thought that the reports about the OK City bombing were not quite right, THIS is the book to read.

There is an alternative Grandmother!
As I read this article, I felt like I was reading about my mother in some ways.
.
A Homeowner With No Savings, but Some Options
.
IF you’re worried that you haven’t saved enough for retirement, you’re probably right. Most of us haven’t. In fact, the Employee Benefit Research Institute found the majority of American workers had put away less than $25,000 for their golden years.
But even those people are in better financial shape than Susanna Wilson, 70, who saved nothing.
Her only dependable income is a Social Security check of about $900 a month.
.
In her 40s, Ms. Wilson moved to California and became a publicist. At her peak, she made around $65,000 a year, she said, and not a penny of that made its way into a retirement fund. “One thing kind of led to another,” Ms. Wilson said. “I’ve always put all my money into my businesses. And I always thought the business I was in was going to be a great success.” She also raised a daughter, Corie, 36, who lives in Los Angeles with her two children and is not in a position to help her mother financially.
Now twice divorced and living alone with her Shetland Sheepdog, Rooney, Ms. Wilson subsists on those government checks, plus a one-day-a-week job at a local jewelry store that pays $12.50 an hour. She received no alimony from either divorce. Ms. Wilson also makes little girls’ dresses under her O’Susanna label, at a vintage Singer Featherweight sewing machine in her dining room. But she sells only about six a month for around $200.
.
OK, so, she has little income now, she pissed away what she had before and she's got $150K in equity in her house. ONLY the NYT would see this as a bad thing!!! And Ms. Wilson is among that generation, like MY mother, who got the idea that they would ALWAYS live alone in their own house. Why do they think that and where did it originate?
These are people who grew up in The Depression. Extended family was often the only place to bed down then. Before that, and often into the 50's and 60's, many people had a Grandparent or Maiden Aunt or Crazy Old Uncle Dave who lived with the family. But for some reason, the same generation that housed those older family members, NEVER thought it would happen to them.
.
We've come full circle though. More 20 somethings are living with mom and dad, more of Ms. Wilson's generation are being forced to move in with sons and daughters, and I think it's a good thing. But that's just me, I guess. I hope these people don't need each other in the future, it's always too late when that type NEED out weighs WANT in a family.

The Non-War War
The Marxist-in-Chief has told us that we're not at war. That's funny because i was under the impression that when you fly over an independent, sovereign nation and drop bombs on them and fire missiles at them, killing their military forces, that's a war. Apparently, i'm a bit old fashioned in my thinking.
It's also been very interesting (albeit not surprising) to watch the always-anti-govt., (except with the Obummer administration) Leftist media agreeing with comrade Obummer and calling for Qaddafi's demise, while weeping for the poor, anti-govt. "rebels", who they claim, "are being slaughtered by the millions". Odd how they have no video to back that claim up, even with thousands of media people and their cameras on the ground. Hmm... To be fair, it's not just the notoriously anti-war Demoncrats who are calling for us to go there and bomb stuff, but it's also some Republicans. And it's all in the name of helping the "poor rebels", who, after all, only want "democracy and to be free". At no time since this started, has anyone bothered to ask the question, "but who exactly are these (rebels)" ? Only now, after the bombs have been dropped, after the Tomahawks have been fired, and after our warriors are once again being called "murderers", do we start to realize that perhaps, we have really screwed-up again as we did in Afghanistan when the so-called "rebels" there were fighting the Russians with our help, weapons, and money. Those rebels turned into Al-Qaeda. Now it seems, the so-called "poor rebels" of Lybia may in fact be, Al Qaeda fighters and/or supporters.
If anyone ever asks you the question, "what happens when you take a local Marxist agitator off his street corner and make him the POTUS", you now know the answer...

Is America finished with Katie Cutiepie?
GOD, I hope so!!!
.
The CBS Evening News ahttp://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gifnchor is very likely to leave in June, and Scott Pelley is a top contender to replace her—but CBS is looking both within and outside the network, Howard Kurtz reports. Plus, behind the CBS News shakeup.
The search is on for Katie Couric’s successor.
The new CBS News chairman, Jeff Fager, is looking at candidates both within and outside the network, insiders say.
One strong contender if Couric vacates the anchor chair in early June, as now seems almost certain, is veteran newsman Scott Pelley. The 60 Minutes correspondent has long been a favorite of Fager, who doubles as the show’s executive producer. But with Fager taking a methodical approach to his first major decision, Pelley is not a lock. A few short weeks ago, the expectation in the Couric camp—after discussions with top CBS management—was that she would sign a new deal to stay in the anchor’s job through the 2012 elections as she figured out the next phase of her career. But the thinking on both sides has now changed as Couric has aggressively tested the waters—and found substantial interest in her services.
.
I've never really been a Kouric fan, I think she's fakey and not too bright. But what tore it for me, was when she attacked James Dobson over his support of the "Promise Keepers" rallies. This was just months after the "Million Man March". And when I say attacked, I mean claws out, '...who do you think you are?", kind of typical liberal, anti-Christian thinking.
.
Basically, she's against WHITE men gathering in large groups. And she intimated that more than 6 white men meeting together usually leads to lynchings or torch lit marches and swastikas.
.
If she never hit the airways again, I wouldn't miss her. Evidently her ratings prove the rest of America concurs.

After returning early from his five-day trip to Latin America, President Obama found a set of doors to the Oval Office locked on him Wednesday afternoon. He had just stepped off Marine One with his wife and daughters, who walked into the residence as he made his way alone to the Oval Office. But, apparently, the staff wasn't notified that Obama was coming, CNN reported, and he walked right up to a set of locked doors.
.
They didn't know he was coming? I don't work there and I knew he was back!

The Anti-Christ Cometh
George Soros is, IMO, one of "the most" dangerous people on this planet. Why? Because of his delusional desire to be "the" world leader, not simply "a" world leader. Because of his apparent ability to con the weak-minded dupes of the far-Left and the MSM. (he now controls over 1,200 radical leftist organizations) And because of his mega-wealth which gives him the ability to accomplish the above, and much, much, more. This is a man who fully intends to control the entire world, in one way or another. And he's off to a very good start.
If we ever come to the point where, in order to save our country and our way of life, the American people decide that certain individuals represent such a clear and present danger to our very survival that they must be eliminated, then surely Soros must be at the top of that list...

But she’s right, they didn’t have the green thing back then.
In the line at the store, the cashier told the older woman that plastic bags weren’t good for the environment. The woman apologized to her and explained, “We didn’t have the green thing back in my day.”
That’s right, they didn’t have the green thing in her day. Back then, they returned their milk bottles, Coke bottles and beer bottles to the store. The store sent them back to the plant to be washed and sterilized and refilled, using the same bottles over and over. So they really were recycled. So were the brown paper bags. But they didn’t have the green thing back in her day.
In her day, they walked up stairs, because they didn’t have an escalator in every store and office building. They walked to the grocery store and didn’t climb into a 300-horsepower machine every time they had to go two blocks. But she’s right. They didn’t have the green thing in her day.
Back then, they washed the baby’s diapers because they didn’t have the throw-away kind. They dried clothes on a line, not in an energy gobbling machine burning up 220 volts – wind and solar power really did dry the clothes. Kids got hand-me-down clothes from their brothers or sisters, not always brand-new clothing. But that old lady is right, they didn’t have the green thing back in her day.
Back then, they had one TV, or radio, in the house – not a TV in every room. And the TV had a small screen the size of a pizza dish, not a screen the size of the state of Montana . In the kitchen, they blended and stirred by hand because they didn’t have electric machines to do everything for you. When they packaged a fragile item to send in the mail, they used wadded up newspaper to cushion it, not Styrofoam or plastic bubble wrap. But she’s right, they didn’t have the green thing back then.
Back then, they didn’t fire up an engine and burn gasoline just to cut the lawn. They used a push mower that ran on human power. They exercised by working so they didn’t need to go to a health club to run on treadmills that operate on electricity. But she’s right, they didn’t have the green thing back then.
They drank from a fountain when they were thirsty, instead of using a cup or a plastic bottle every time they had a drink of water. They refilled pens with ink, instead of buying a new pen, and they replaced the razor blades in a razor instead of throwing away the whole razor just because the blade got dull. But they didn’t have the green thing back then.
Back then, people took the streetcar or city bus and kids rode their bikes to school or rode the school bus, instead of turning their moms into a 24-hour taxi service. They had one electrical outlet in a room, not an entire bank of sockets to power a dozen appliances. And they didn’t need a computerized gadget to receive a signal beamed from satellites 2,000 miles out in space in order to find the nearest pizza joint.
But that old lady is right. They didn’t have the green thing back in her day.
Come to think of it, she might have been talking to MY mother, that was MY day too.
.
(yeah, and there were 3, count them one, two, THREE channels of TV. Hell, I remember living in an area with just 2!)

But that old lady is right. They didn’t have the green thing back in her day.
Come to think of it, she might have been talking to MY mother, that was MY day too.

It's simple, execute them, on Al Jazeera.
I'm sorry to see that we may have our Mỹ Lai event of the war on terror.
.
The U.S. Army has been forced to apologise over what they have deemed as 'repugnant' photographs of grinning American soldiers standing over bloodied and partially-naked Afghan bodies they had allegedly killed.
The pictures were published by German news organisation Der Spiegel and were among 4,000 they have obtained.
Meanwhile, commanders in Afghanistan are bracing themselves for a public backlash and possible riots over the 'trophy' photographs, especially since it has been alleged that the Afghan civilians were unarmed and innocent.
.
And as a veteran, son and grandson of a veteran and both my kids are veterans, the older one is STILL in the Navy, this sickens me. It proves to the world that we are who they say we are. It also ENDANGERS everyone in a U.S. military uniform. But there's an answer.
.
Behead these fucking animals, just before prayers on Friday afternoon and show it on Al Jazeera.
.
I'm not saying deny their rights. Let the Courts Martials run their course. Let them appeal. And anyone convicted at both,
.
Chop, CHOP!!!
.
Sorry Mr & Mrs Average, but we executed Johnny Average. It seems your son WAS what we are supposed to be fighting against. He aligned himself with murdering thugs with no conscience.
.
Personally, we, my family that is, didn't do our time so this kind of crap could happen. I expect few of us did!! We're supposed to PROTECT the weak, not take 4000 pictures of them dead, with us grinning like it's our first deer hunt.
.
Personally, I'm sad that I'm too old and 'stove up' to wield the axe myself.

An Old Trick
In the wild, many animals do whatever they can to make themselves appear bigger than they actually are when confronted by a predator. It's essential for survival. Birds will usually spread their wings. Some fish and reptiles actually bloat themselves to look bigger.
Some people try this tactic also. Some years ago, black activists, when making demands and not getting the attention they wanted, went from shouting "Black Power" to "Blacks and Latinos". This obviously created the appearance of greater numbers, thus more power, even though there was never much love between the two groups. It appears the dying labor movement is now trying that same old trick.
During a recent speech, Richard Trumka, head of the AFL-CIO, and a close ally and supporter (and dupe?) of the Communist Party of America, is trying to equate the labor movement with the civil rights movement. In other words, if you don't support his movement, you're a racist. After having lost a big battle in Wisconsin recently, and realizing that today, only about 7% of American workers are union members, he needed to make his group appear much larger than they actually are. What better tactic for a Communist to use, but race. The Communists have been using race for decades to divide the American people. They had a very strong presence back in the 60's when MLK was marching around. In fact, it's been said that "they" were the driving force behind him and the entire movement, just as the Communist ANC did years later in South Africa using a handy dupe, Nelson Mandella.
Each day, we see more evidence from these Leftist union criminals that they mean to go for broke in their battle against the American tax payers. They've been having a party for decades at our expense, and they mean to keep that party going no matter how broke we are, or how much violence it takes...

Could fewer Lawyers be a BAD thing?
OK, I'm going to brag. I stole this topic from Tranterrestrial Musings, and as part of the comments I made there, I liked the following SO well, I'm using it HERE as a topic!! Yay ME!!!!
.
Student applications to law schools are down sharply this year, as college seniors grow leery of a degree that promises certain debt and uncertain job prospects.
The number of law-school applicants this year is down 11.5% from a year ago to 66,876, according to the Law School Admission Council Inc. The figure, which is a tally of applications for the fall 2011 class, is the lowest since 2001 at this stage of the process. The Council estimates that the application process is 86% complete, based on historical patterns.
.
It ain't just the job market, it's marketing that is changing their attitudes IMHO.
.
Perry Mason, in the 50′s & 60′s, a great guy who helped convict the real bad guy and get the other guy acquitted. We knew NOTHING about PM having a private life, or how much money he made. The DA wanted to beat PM but he also wanted to convict the REAL bad guy.
L.A. Law was next. Some of them were good guys, some were sleazy, they all LOOKED great made tons of money, drove fast cars and humped like drunk rabbits. They wanted to win and on several occasions avoided wanting to know IF their client was guilty or not. The D.A. or opposing attorney was just the same. So the bar is sliding to lawyers being like regular people, some good, some bad; except they were rich as hell and got laid a lot!
Law & Order, and Boston Legal. (…hello, Denny Crane, Denny Crane, I am Denny Crane!! how annoying was that by the 3rd show? And I love The Shat) Lawyers are shifty, worthless, lying, back stabbing scumbags, who only want the win. Getting Hitler off of mass murder charges on technicalities or convicting Mother Theresa for operating a soup kitchen in Mumbai without a license as an illegal alien, the sentence, 25 years in prison, it’s all the same, who gives a f*&k, they just want that mark in the WIN column!!! They make decent money, still hump a lot and most of them would kill their parents, children or mother for $2 and the WIN!! Screw justice or right and wrong, screw the ACTUAL reason for having laws, just get the WIN!!
As with all TV, I get that Father did NOT know best, Flipper and Lassie couldn’t really dial a phone or drive a boat, and Cliff Huxtable was just the black guy from I Spy only older with a new (very fictitious) show, and truly we know none of it is real in the end.
But if other shows had taken the same ‘turns’ that legal shows did…all fathers would be pedophile, philandering liars, Flipper would have lured Lassie into the water and drowned him (her) so as to draw in bait fish for Flipper eat, and Dr Huxtable would have been a drunk (rich) gay guy, working as an abortionist at Planned Parenthood.
And who the hell wants to go to college for 6 years and spend $100K to be ANY of THAT!!!?
.
Did I mention that dad and Dr. Huxtable are both sleeping with every good looking guy or girl they can find, depending on preferences of course, AND also with Flipper when Flipper is in town? They all have "an understanding".

God help us if CNBC says it's BAD!
Although the White House is telling us the economy is coming back, is back, might come back, has rebounded back, might rebound back, probably going to take 20 years to pay off the TRILLIONS we owe, before it might come back, it seems that EVERYTHING IS A OK, except that,
.
US Cost of Living Hits Record, Passing Pre-Crisis High
.
One would think that after the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression, Americans could at least catch a break for a while with deflationary forces keeping the cost of living relatively low. That’s not the case.
.
A special index created by the Labor Department to measure the actual cost of living for Americans hit a record high in February, according to data released Thursday, surpassing the old high in July 2008. The Chained Consumer Price Index, released along with the more widely-watched CPI, increased 0.5 percent to 127.4, from 126.8 in January. In July 2008, just as the housing crisis was tightening its grip, the Chained Consumer Price Index hit its previous record of 126.9.
“The Federal Reserve continues to focus on the rate of change in inflation,” said Peter Bookvar, equity strategist at Miller Tabak. “Sure, it’s moving at a slower pace, but the absolute cost of living is now back at a record high in a country that has seven million less jobs.”
The regular CPI, which has already been at a record for a while, increased 0.5 percent, the fastest pace in 1-1/2 years. However, the Fed’s preferred measure, CPI excluding food and energy, increased by just 0.2 percent.
“This speaks to the need for the Fed to include food and energy when they look at inflation rather than regard them as transient costs,” said Stephen Weiss of Short Hills Capital. “Perhaps the best way to look at this is to calculate a moving average over a certain period of time in order to smooth out the peaks and valleys.”
.
Did YOU need truly CNBC to tell you that things are too expensive given our static incomes? I remember the days of 'stagflation' and I dare say this is a worse situation. Oil was expensive, but the oil producers were producing. There WAS light at the end of the tunnel in that we knew our idiots and the OPEC idiots would eventually come to an agreement.
.
Now, our idiots are clueless and the oil producing idiots are about to be gone amid civil wars and Islamic Infighting. Not a good situation IMHO. Not a good situation at all.

Bits and Pieces
I'm feeling lazy and lethargic today, so I'm combining my ire just into one posting. I guess I should have saved being irish until tomorrow? Anyway,
.
ITEM one, this morning on FOX Snews, they asked the question, "Why are there no RIOTS or LOOTING in Japan? Say, as opposed to post Haiti's earthquake or post Katrina?"
.
As they asked these deep questions, they showed orderly lines in Japan (some 5 hours long for Cup'a Noodles and water) and then showed pictures of riots and looting in Port au Prince and video from Nawlins, with people looting and cops stopping them with shotguns post Katrina.
.
Question kids, what's the elephant in the room they left unsaid?
.
.
ITEM two, on the "Glenn Beck is a crazy ass, Tea Bagging, Liar" front. Over at GB's house organ, there is video of the Rev Jeremiah Wright, confirming what GB, and others, have said about the Reverend and his flock and the philosophy of Wrights Church. Socialist, anti-American and anti-semitic to name but a few.
.
Question two on today's quiz, what current U.S. President was a mufuggin' member of the flock for 20 mufuggin' years at Rev. Wrights commie outfit?
.
.
ITEM three, Martin Bashir of MSNBC wants to know if God hates the Japanese or is God just not as omnipotent as we've been told. It's simplified there by me, but you can see it at YouTube for the full idiocy.
.
Now I realize that it's MSNBC and only half of their own employees watch the channel, but isn't his question a little limiting?
.
Question three on the quiz, where are the hate filled, murderous Muslims who should be screaming for the head of a Pakistani guy named Bashir for doubting the existence of GOD? (nee ALLAH?)

I couldn't do it, I know that now.
I don't know if you heard the story, but last weekend, murdering crazy people (Muslim men between the ages of 18 and 35 is my guess) killed an entire family including an infant in Israel.
.
Today the father of the woman killed spoke to reporters. He is a man with WAY more faith and a much bigger heart than I could muster.
.
In a radio interview on radio Monday, Rabbi Yehuda Ben-Yishai, the mourning father of Ruth Fogel, one of the five victims of the Itamar massacre, taught a lesson of faith and strengthened the People of Israel.
.
His inspiring remarks on Voice of Israel government radio stunned the interviewer into near silence and brought tears to her eyes.
After Rabbi Ben-Yishai expressed deep pain but no anger or calls for vengeance, interviewer Estie Perez, who has described herself as a secular Jew, asked, “Where do you have the strength and restraint that you can talk now and strengthen us, without anger and without calling for vengeance – that is not in your voice? Where is the strength from?"
Rabbi Ben-Yishai answered, "I have worked in education many years, and as an educator, I try to strengthen and teach people faith. I understand that I cannot be satisfied with words and that I also must implement the same principles on which I have educated others. This is a test of my faith, and therefore I agreed to be interviewed."
"I believe in the country, in our strength and in the strength of the army, and I ask how did this strength not save our children?”
Rabbi Ben-Yishai said Monday morning that he asked the oldest surviving children, 12-year-old Tamar and eight-year-old Ro’i, if they wanted to say the Kaddish prayer, recited by mourners and expressing their faith in the Creator.
“They answered, ‘Of course. They are our parents, brothers and sisters.’” The mourning father and grandfather told Voice of Israel government radio, “They understand.”
.
Anyone here know a proper, short saying or prayer in Hebrew?

Tell me something I didn't know
From JONATHAN MARTIN @ Politico
.
There is a belief among conservative activists that America is becoming too European, too weak
.
DENISON, Iowa - Republican activists in this key presidential state have a dark, foreboding feeling that America is in decline. They believe the nation is hurtling in the wrong direction, and worse, on the brink of losing its unique place in the world.
That sentiment is hardly new to American politics, but it’s one that’s been reanimated by the presidency of Barack Obama. Some see him as hostile to the notion of American exceptionalism. Others simply don’t believe he’s an American at all.
It’s not that culture wars and tax revolts are about to be displaced in GOP presidential politics by an abstract discussion on what ails Uncle Sam. Rather, the very issues that have typically energized GOP primary voters—such as abortion, faith, gay marriage, debt, military power—are being subsumed into a larger debate about a country in decline.
It’s the idea, held by many conservative activists, that America is becoming too European—weak, feckless and faithless—a spendthrift nation in hock to China and led by an irresolute president who is accelerating the process, either by design or effect.
.
Amen Mr. Martin, Amen.
.
This is precisely what started the Tea Party. The whole system we hear from Dems, in every situation, every day, is about some idea from France, Sweden, Germany, blah, blah, blah. Yeah Europe is great, they're way ahead of us, that's why we had to settle two World Wars for them in the 20th Centry.
.
Most of you know I just moved. I moved from Raleigh, the State Capital, to Clayton, which is still just a small, town in the boonies. It's 25 miles, but here it's like night and day. Raleigh is a college, and professional town, population is 410K, even the Republicans there tend to be moderate.
.
Clayton was a farm town just a few years ago, and little has changed. Population is just 9700 people, from 2000 to 2010 it grew to that a 39% growth rate. Most of the growth is people like me, tired of congested roads, schools, neighborhoods and liberal politics.
.
But here's the problem. If the ENTIRE COUNTRY gets too liberal, there is nowhere to run, we're stuck. This is a fight we have to stand and make, wherever we are. And given the new civility and recent events in places like Wisconsin, it's a hard fight. Mostly because even when the Dems / Libs have lost an election, they don't what that means! After 60 or 70 years of control, they act like a spoiled kid who gets told "NO" for the first time.
.
It's OK though, I know what to do with kids throwing a tantrum. It's just a matter of having enough will to spank some asses.

Owsley "Bear" Stanley, a 1960s counterculture figure who flooded the flower power scene with LSD and was an early benefactor of the Grateful Dead, died in a car crash in his adopted home country of Australia on Sunday, his family said. He was 76.
The renegade grandson of a former governor of Kentucky, Stanley helped lay the foundation for the psychedelic era by producing more than a million doses of LSD at his labs in San Francisco's Bay Area.
"He made acid so pure and wonderful that people like Jimi Hendrix wrote hit songs about it and others named their band in its honor," former rock 'n' roll tour manager Sam Cutler wrote in his 2008 memoirs "You Can't Always Get What You Want."
Hendrix's song "Purple Haze" was reputedly inspired by a batch of Stanley's product, though the guitarist denied any drug link. (as did Bear, schteveo) The ear-splitting psychedelic-blues combo Blue Cheer took its named from another batch.
Stanley briefly managed the Grateful Dead, and oversaw every aspect of their live sound at a time when little thought was given to amplification in public venues. His tape recordings of Dead concerts were turned into live albums, providing him with a healthy income in later life.
Cutler, speaking on behalf of the family, said in an interview that Stanley and his wife, Sheila, were driving to their home near the city of Cairns along a dangerous stretch of highway when he evidently lost control during a storm. He died instantly; his wife broke her collar bone.
Stanley is also survived by four children, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
.
I got a buzz just reading this one. Godspeed Bear.

Some clones are more equal.
Over the last few years we've heard the 'green' people scream and yell over bio-engineered food crops. What they really mean is CLONED food crops.
.
The theory goes that we don't know enough about those crops to turn them loose in the environment. They might take over and kill native trees and grasses, cutting off the oxygen producers, thus killing us. Which makes this article interesting.
.
Redwoods and sequoias towering majestically over California's northern coast. Oaks up to 1,000 years old nestled in a secluded corner of Ireland. The legendary cedars of Lebanon.
They are among the most iconic trees on Earth, remnants of once-vast populations decimated by logging, development, pollution and disease. A nonprofit organization called Archangel Ancient Tree Archive is rushing to collect their genetic material and replant clones in an audacious plan to restore the world's ancient forests and put them to work cleansing the environment and absorbing carbon dioxide, the greenhouse gas largely responsible for global warming.
"In our infinite wisdom, we've destroyed 98 percent of the old growth forests that kept nature in balance for thousands of years," said David Milarch, the group's co-founder. "That's what we intend to put back."
Milarch, a tree nursery operator from the northern Michigan village of Copemish, and sons Jared and Jake have been producing genetic copies of ancient trees since the 1990s. They've now joined with Elk Rapids businesswoman Leslie Lee and a team of researchers to establish Archangel Archive, which has a staff of 17 and an indoor tree research and production complex.
Its mission: Clone the oldest and largest individuals within the world's most ecologically valuable tree species, and persuade people to buy and plant millions of copies — on factory grounds and college campuses; along riverbanks and city streets; in forests, farms, parks and back yards.
.
This should cause a interesting fight between the pro-clone 'greens' and the anti-clone 'greens'. If they aren't too busy rallying in WI against the Illegal Scott Walker Regime.

A "Diverse" Military?
Now that gays can serve openly in our military, the next logical step for the Left would be to make sure gays are pushed up the ranks into positions of great authority, with decision-making powers that could change the very foundation of our military. Just think how proud Nanny Pelosi would be if the next Chair-man (?) of the Joint Chiefs was a lesbian. Imagine a meeting with the world's military leaders where the U.S. is represented by some queen in a uniform. I'll bet that'll get us plenty of respect. It happens every time diversity is introduced into an existing government or private-sector entity.
We all know by now that when the word "diversity" is used, it means some left-wing social engineers are going to push "their PC-ized idea" of fairness down our throats. The very same thing was done in the NYPD just after "His Majesty" Bloomberg bought NY's City Hall. Now, you have 300 lb, 4-ft tall lesbians in command positions. Line organizations created for gays only, and constant whining about where they can, and can't, work, not to mention the occasional "romantic" flare-up.
Many of us believe political correctness has been the most destructive force to infect our society in many generations. It has changed how we live our daily lives, how we act, how we deal with others, and has actually changed our language. No longer can you say what you think. No longer is the truth important. Now what's important is that you haven't "offended" someone or something. In fact, being "offended" has become a huge money-making industry for some, thanks to the liars. Oops, i mean lawyers.
I wouldn't look to the Marxist-in-Chief or his radical administration to put a stop to this insanity, especially since it had to originate in, or with the backing of, the WH. Is this what Obummer meant by "civility"? And, if he's concerned about trying to get along with Mooselambs, (yeah, right) does he know what radical Mooselambs think of gays?

They've GOT to be kidding me!!
Some respond to Japan earthquake by pointing to global warming
.
Hours after a massive earthquake rattled Japan, environmental advocates connected the natural disaster to global warming. The president of the European Economic and Social Committee, Staffan Nilsson, issued a statement calling for solidarity in tackling the global warming problem.
“Some islands affected by climate change have been hit,” said Nilsson. “Has not the time come to demonstrate on solidarity — not least solidarity in combating and adapting to climate change and global warming?”
“Mother Nature has again given us a sign that that is what we need to do,” he added.
Global warming enthusiasts have also taken to Twitter to raise awareness of the need to respond to the earthquake by finally acting on climate change. And the Competitive Enterprise Institute’s Lee Doren compiled some of the best ones.
Some examples:
AliceTMBFan said “2 hours of geography earlier talking about Japan has left me thinking…maybe global warming is way more serious then we thought…”
Arbiterofwords tweeted “I’m worried that Japan earthquake, on top of other recent natural ‘disasters’, is a sign we’ve passed point of no return for climate change.”
.
And these clowns think conservatives are twisted and brain damaged.

Check this out.
I had to search and search for this article. There is a link at Drudge that says,
.
HOMELESS MAN ARRESTED WITH REPORTED TIES TO OKLAHOMA CITY BOMBING...
.
The one under it says,
.
Hussain Al Hussaini...
.
But just minutes after they popped up, the links were no good, or the link went to a page saying, 'Article no longer Available". I find that odd. I Googled that entire 'homeless man' thing and the first 7 links were dead. Odd, weird, strange that, IMHO. But I'm persistent, I looked until I found an article, and here it is.
.
The author of a book on the Oklahoma City bombing says a homeless man arrested in Quincy on Wednesday is the same man identified by several witnesses to the bombing as having been with Timothy McVeigh on the day of the deadly attack.
Quincy Police on Thursday spoke with the author and notified the FBI of the arrest of Hussain Al-Hussaini for slashing a man’s face with a beer bottle.
Capt. John Dougan said the man arrested in Quincy on Wednesday has the same name as a man featured prominently in the 2004 book “The Third Terrorist: The Middle East Connection to the Oklahoma City Bombing.”
Both Dougan and the author of the Oklahoma City book said the man arrested in Quincy also has a tattoo on his arm that matches the description of one on the arm of the man in the book.
“His age, his name, the picture, the mug shot, that’s him,” the author of “The Third Terrorist,” Jayna Davis, told The Patriot Ledger in a telephone inter view.
Davis said she saw the Al- Hussaini she wrote about during depositions for a libel suit he brought against her.
Davis said the Al-Hussaini she wrote about is a former Iraqi solider who was seen with McVeigh in the weeks before Oklahoma City and on April 19, 1995, the day of the bombing, which killed 168 people.
McVeigh was executed for his role in the bombing. The Al- Hussaini seen with him was never charged.
.
I'll go you one better than this guy being the THIRD Terrorist. I've always said there were 4 or 5 people. It would take that many to get, hold and control enough parking spots to park a large Ryder Truck, in front of a Federal Building in Downtown ANYWHERE at 9:00 o'clock in the morning during the work week.
.
I have an article from way back then, that talks about witnesses reportedly seeing McVeigh with a Middle Eastern Man. Anyone interested, lemme know, I'll send it to you via e-mail.

What am I missing?
Gang Rape of 11-Year-Old Girl Sparks Racial Tensions in Texas Town
.
This story is full of talk about racial tension, race history and uses racially charged wording when describing the area of town involved. When I read the original article yesterday and it said that the race issue in the case was REDIVIDING the community along color lines, I wondered how that could be.
.
It also said some members of the families of those accused were threatening the family of the victim. OK, then arrest them if you know who it is doing that!!! Oddly though, it never says the AA perps are being threatened by WHITE people, it doesn't even say they are being threatened. Hell in TX, I thought they'd already be swinging, given the MSM take on TX, redneck, racist attitudes. They never even refer to anyone white being involved. Except where demographics is mentioned, white folks aren't mentioned.
.
But, what am I missing? Where's the racism here?
.
The victim is, according to the article, Hispanic, the accused rapists and videographers are African-American. Is there a race problem between Mexicans and Blacks in TX that wasn't there before. Or WAS there a problem, it got better and this is "REDIVIDING the community"?
.
The TV and radio reports said some of the accused are rolling over on their homeys. And, typically, even though a few of them have been accused, and there is VIDEO, the parents are saying, "...that AIN't my son, Junebug would'n NEVAH do nuttin' lack dat!"
.
Yeah, Junebug, Scats and Raheem are just good kids who made a mistake. Those older guys lead them into it and they were afraid NOT to rape her. Hell, they might lose their friends over a thing like that, refusing to be part of a gang rape. Not to mention, what with no jobs and all that economy stuff, it's easy to see how bored they could get. I totally get it, some days I sit here and think of raping children when my cable is out!!
.
All of the defendants arrested are African-American and the girl is Hispanic.
The hardscrabble town of Cleveland, which is 45 miles from Houston, has fewer than 8,000 residents and since the saw mill closed the biggest employers are Wal-Mart and a nearby prison. In a town this small, everyone is a neighbor, but that small town ambience is being severely strained.
The rape allegedly occurred last November, and the list of suspects has been growing as arrests keep coming. It's not clear whether more arrests are in the works.
The suspects range in age from 14 to 26, include stars on the high school's basketball team as well as the son of a school board member.
But as the investigation drags on, the shock and indignation has been tinged with an undercurrent of racial tension.
.
Personally, I wish they had hidden the race of the victim and the perps. It doesn't matter to most people. But it's put in there to get (idiot) liberals to FEEL something FOR the accused. I'm throwing the BS penalty flag on that.
.
And the article says that area of town is called 'the quarters'. That is actually a very old and common term for the black section of a southern town. It's used here, I feel certain, to link the heinous crime to the perps and the perps to being poor (and ignorant of common decency) because they came up from slavery! I'm not really sure what bearing GGG-Grandpa's life in 1830 whatever, as a slave, has to do with the facts in a modern rape case. But the MSM will always work that angle in.
.
'We're not saying it's OK to rape a child, but just don't forget that there used to be AFRICAN slaves in Texas."
.
Yeah, these poor boys! And just how would that matter to this little girl, HOW!? Bullshit on slavery angle too.
.
I'm guessing they'll get 90% of these guys to plea out. Which is unfortunate, because a plea usually precludes hard, pipe-hittin' or the use of pair of pliers and a blow torch. There will be no one getting an opportunity to get medieval on their asses. More's the pity, as that is what they deserve.

The Left = Love, Tolerance, & Civility
As we all know, those of us on the Right are filled with hate, rage, and violence. We know this because those on the Left keep telling us so. We also know it because we hear it from the MSM on an almost daily basis. In fact, we're so bad, with our Bibles, beer, guns, and American flags, that the Left had to invent specific "hate crime" laws simply to protect themselves from us.
Of course, there's one big problem with all that. It's the "fact" that every time we see hatred, intolerance, and violence, it's coming from the radicals of the Left. That's not a fact that you'll get from the leftist MSM. It's a fact you will see with your own eyes, if they're open. Why do these lies about us continue? Because we allow them to. It's time to put a stop to the lies and fight back, assuming we still have some will left...

Should We Go Again?
It seems the talking heads of the Left are pushing the Marxist-in-Chief to get involved in Libya, not simply with words, but with action. And by action they mean sending more of our warriors to fight someone else's battles, a very odd (and rare) position for the Left to take. But, there are anti-government protesters in the streets, and that always excites the Left. I actually heard some of the cretins on MSNBC saying, "well, not military action, just enforcing a no-fly zone." Apparently, they think enforcing a no-fly zone in a hostile, foreign country is done by civilians. They also don't seem to realize that enforcing that zone would require dropping bombs on air fields and anti-aircraft sites, and firing missiles at planes and radar sites. Of course, what they're not talking about is, what will happen to the first pilot who happens to kill a few civilians, something that is impossible to avoid in combat. Also not mentioned is the fact that doing so, is an act of war.
Personally, as someone who was/is very much against our warriors going to, and continuing to be in Iraq, and someone who believes Afghanistan could have been dealt with via air-power alone, i am totally against sending any part of our military into Libya. It's none of our business! We have no special interest there. They supply 2% of the worlds oil, with almost all of it going to the ChiComs. Let them send their planes. As for what's going on there, it's now a civil war. It's their problem! Let them handle it! No matter what action we take, or for that matter, don't take, we'll end up being the bad guys, as usual. In that case, let's be the bad guys who were smart enough (this time) to save our money and young men, and stay out of it!
What say you...

State Politics and Economics
Example 1, CALIFORNIA
The Governor of California is jogging with his dog along a nature trail. A coyote jumps out and attacks the Governor's dog, then bites the Governor.
1. The Governor starts to intervene, but reflects upon the movie "Bambi" and then realizes he should stop because the coyote is only doing what is natural.
2. He calls animal control. Animal Control captures the coyote and bills the State $200 testing it for diseases and $500 for relocating it.
3. He calls a veterinarian. The vet collects the dead dog and bills the State $200 testing it for diseases.
4. The Governor goes to hospital and spends $3,500 getting checked for diseases from the coyote and on getting his bite wound bandaged.
5. The running trail gets shut down for 6 months while Fish & Game conducts a $100,000 survey to make sure the area is now free of dangerous animals.
6. The Governor spends $50,000 in state funds implementing a "coyote awareness program" for residents of the area.
7. The State Legislature spends $2 million to study how to better treat rabies and how to permanently eradicate the disease throughout the world.
8. The Governor's security agent is fired for not stopping the attack. The State spends $150,000 to hire and train a new agent with additional special training re: the nature of coyotes.
9. PETA protests the coyote's relocation and files a $5 million suit against the State.
Example 2. MONTANA
The Governor of Montana is jogging with his dog along a nature trail. A Coyote jumps out and attacks her dog.
1. The Governor shoots the coyote with his State-issued pistol and keeps jogging. The Governor has spent $0.50 on a .45 ACP hollow point cartridge.
2. The Buzzards eat the dead coyote.
And that, my friends, is why California is broke and Montana is not.

You Know You're In A Union When,
Top ten ways to tell if you might be a member of a public-sector union: By David Letterman:
10.) You take a week off to protest in Wisconsin and your office runs better.
9.) On a snow day when they say “non-essential” people should stay homeyou know who they mean.
8.) You get paid twice as much as a private sector person doing the samejob but make up the difference by doing half as much work.
7.) It takes longer to fire you than the average killer spends on death row.
6.) The worse you do your job, the more your boss avoids you.
5.) You think the French are working themselves to death.
4.) You know by having a copy of the Holy Koran on your desk your job is 100% safe.
3.) You spend more time at protest marches than at church.
2.) You have a Democratic congressman’s lips permanently attached to your butt.
1.) You pay more in union dues than you do for your healthcare insurance.

What if...
...it's the year 195?, after several years of minor BS, an Catholic Irish group flies planes into the Pentagon, the Empire State Building, and the Chrysler Building, setting them on fire and killing several thousand people. A fourth plane goes down on Pennsylvania killing all on board.
.
Over the next 10 years, the Irish Catholic group continues to blow things up, kill people, including Irish Catholics AND manage to radicalize young Catholic males and start a worldwide campaign to create a worldwide ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, to be run by THE POPE!!
.
John F, KENNEDY, who is an Irish Catholic, is President. Kennedy and his Cabinet over the first two years of his Presidency REFUSE to call it a concerted, active worldwide terrorist campaign, and refuse to BY NAME accuse or say the IRISH CATHOLICS are TERRORISTS or that they are THE problem in the world!!
.
Just how long do you suppose the MSM would have backed him or kissed his ASS on a daily basis!?
.
Hell move that UP and put Bush back in there and have ANY Christians do that!! Put Bill O Rights in there and make them Jewish or Israelis!
.
Given that, would THIS protest have been allowed or carried on the NATIONAL media!? There IS a collusion of the MSM and these terrorists, IMHO, when the MSM makes it a NATIONAL news story when 300 hundred people protest in a city of THIRTEEN MILLION!? That's a protest by 200ths of 1% of the population. too weird a number?
.
There are 9676 people in this little town I live in now. 200th of 1% of 9676 is not even ONE full person here. But we'll round up.
.
IF ONE, WHOLE, ENTIRE person showed up at the courthouse here to protest against "X", "Y" or "Z", would that "protest" make even the local area TV news? No, and it sure as hell wouldn't be on the NATIONAL news!

So, this is what the big fuss is about in Madison
I thought this e-mail was BS, until I looked around and found that it's from public records in Wisconsin. NC has a similar system for people to search gub'ment employee salaries.
(that's how we found out Mrs Schteveo is getting uh, um...probed!!)
---------------------------------------------------
No wonder they are marching in the streets - their unions have taken advantage of the political system in a huge way and will continue to do so unless stopped.

How about some other "public servant job" ??? What do they make?

Yet another case of greed, greed, greed from DEMOCRATS!!! I hope they fire the lying teachers they caught on film getting fake 'sick notes' from a doctor. Maybe the rest of those jerks would get the message then.
.
And BTW, that garbageman who made $110K in O/T, I did the math. His base salary is $50K. That makes O/T rates for him, regular O/T is $36 per hr, D/T is $48 per hr. He would have had to work about 75 to 85 hours per week, with NO vacation time to make that much O/T pay.
.
OR.
.
He is one of those areas that pay D/T PLUS several hundred tax payers dollars per day if you work all those Federal Holiday Mondays, Christmas Eve, etc, etc. But seriously, should anyone make $500 or $600 in a DAY for collecting garbage JUST because it's a holiday?
.
I don't begrudge anyone their HONEST earnings. But I did technical, dangerous work sometimes in my career and I NEVER made $48 an hour!!

Historically Challenged Journalists (hmm...is that redundant?)
From the historically challenged folks at "Time".
.
A Union Divided: South Split on U.S. Civil War Legacy
.
In 1867, former Confederate General Nathan Bedford Forrest became the first Grand Wizard of a newly formed organization called the Ku Klux Klan. Forrest had been a slave trader before the Civil War; he was also the commanding officer during a battle known as the "Fort Pillow massacre" in Tennessee at which some 300 black Union troops were killed in 1864. (Whether they died in combat or were killed after they surrendered is still a matter of dispute.)
Now, in honor of the Civil War's 150th anniversary, the Sons of Confederate Veterans (SCV) are seeking to put Forrest on a Mississippi license plate. But the state government opposes it. When asked to comment on the proposal, Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour, a Republican, told the Associated Press, "It won't become law because I won't sign it."
.
This article left out some HUGE points of history.
.
First it was a small number of southerners who actually owned slaves. The Confederacy drafted many more soldiers than ever volunteered. The great majority just wanted to get the 'damned Yankees' off of southern soil and that's why they fought.
.
(when GWB was President, what would you have done, fight the enemy or sit still if we'd been physically invaded by an army? remember how pissed off you were on 9/11? THAT's the feeling!!)
.
Next, Nathan Bedford Forrest was a DEMOCRAT before the war, it was DEMOCRATS who ran the slavery south, it was DEMOCRATS who voted to secede, it was DEMOCRATS who fought against civil rights and it was DEMOCRATS who put the Confederate Battle Flag over Southern Statehouses as a sign of the Old South being alive during the civil rights era, the Klan was a DEMOCRAT group and where it exists it's DEMOCRATS in the ranks!!
(even non-klan southerners didn't like Republicans and still don't)
But the article did mention it's a REPUBLICAN refusing to sign the bill, now. Good for you Guv BTW!
My experience tells me that a good southern DEMOCRAT would have slid the license tag bill in under some other PRESSING legislation that was just too important to veto. Then the DEMOCRATS would have blamed George Bush for the whole mess!!! See, I know MY southern history.
Here's my suggestion for Time Magazine readers, and their writers.
Read people, READ! You can't learn this stuff watching college football and 'merican Idol!! Go get a U.S. History book written before 1970, the new ones all say WE started WWII and that we deserved to get beat, and that we were imperialistic, blood thirsty and just got lucky. That's IF they mention WWII at all. The Civil War is done in an even worse manner.

Is it time to re-Invade Mexico? Yet?
The Mexican army has ordered three junior officers and 10 soldiers to stand trial on drug trafficking and organized crime charges after they were allegedly caught with more than a ton of methamphetamines and 66 pounds (30 kilograms) of cocaine.
The soldiers were arrested last week with drugs at a military checkpoint south of Tijuana, across the border from San Diego. They are being charged within the military justice system.
The Defense Department said in a statement it will "in no way tolerate" such acts.
.
Tons? Pounds? Meth, Coke? Those are drugs that are generally taken in doses weighed in grams or half grams or even quarter grams!! There are roughly 27.2 grams to an ounce and 435.5 grams to a pound. That's near about 100,000 hits of meth and a MILLION or so of nose candy.
.
This WAS millions and millions of doses of drugs that undoubtedly were not going to be sold in TJ, but on the streets of SoCal and AZ most likely. Does any one of us think they were the only group doing this, or that this was their first trip?!!
.
How long will our 'leaders' (I just threw up in my mouth a little) how long will our 'leaders' sit on their fat elected asses and allow Mexican thugs, crooks, drug runners, brick layers, and God knows who or what else, cross into AMERICA at will!!!
.
Anyone here ever been to Tijuana? It's a tourist trap. And if you screw up, it can be a VERY expensive tourist trap. It's easy to get locked up, hard to get out. The people are poor and the gub'ment just doesn't give a flying fig about them. It is just the opposite of life in San Diego.
.
But unless we do something about our borders, this stuff will continue. And I have to tell you, I'm an absolute libertarian on drug policy. If the money and smugglers were gone from the border, so would most of the violence. So we need to either legalize drugs HERE, or take over and run things down THERE.

What if Soros is right?
Mr Soros also predicted the Iranian regime would be overthrown in the "bloodiest of the revolutions".
.
Revolts in Libya were partly the result of "revulsion against a corruption" fed by the misuse of oil money, he added.
More "transparency and accountability" was needed from other producers such as Russia and Saudi Arabia he said.
Mr Soros also predicted the Iranian regime would be overthrown in the "bloodiest of the revolutions".
'Rebelled'
Libya produces 1.6 million barrels of oil per day and is the 17th largest producer in the world.
And Colonel Gaddafi's hold on power has been dependent on the billions of dollars in oil revenue that pour into the country.
Talking of the wave of governments being challenged in North Africa and the Middle East, Mr Soros said: "What has caused the revolutions is a revulsion against a corruption that is fed by the misuse of natural resources like for instance in Libya.
"Transparency and even more importantly accountability in the use of natural resources is what you need for people living in those countries to get the benefit of those national resources.
"Libya produced enormous wealth which Gaddafi took as his own and now the people rebelled against it."
'Tremendous improvement'
Asked whether there should be more transparency with what happened to oil incomes, Mr Soros said: "Very much so."
.
We know Soros is a dangerously rich nut, but if he's right about Iran, we're wrong about the Middle East. I think it's WAY too soon to call it one way or the other. Let's surmise for a second though, what effect would it have on the M.E. if the current Iranian ruling group was ousted? That would certainly mean a moderation of attitude about the west and non-Islamic culture.
.
CERTAINLY there's nowhere for Iran to GO but toward moderation and away from the current Sharia driven, Jihadi, Wahhabist culture. And if Iran quits promoting that, Pakistan would both welcome them BACK, and make them easier to find!

A Friday UN-Funny...or is it "the horse you rode in on!!!!"
Several months ago, we talked about activity and contribution here at used to be Kim's, she's not really Kim she's really Annie, then she left and we don't know why or where, or whatEVER.
.
Originally we posted stuff both locally where we each live OR nationally if we found something noteworthy and it wasn't already posted. That system was great as it kept us all in the loop, with the world going to hell in a hand basket, from each of our local areas. It allowed us to see that none of us was
A.) insane for thinking the world was about to burn
B.) kept us talking and planning HOW to solve our national and local problems
Having said that, WE have NOW devolved to me and Spider talking to each other via this site. Once in a while, other people will post something. IF you have moved elsewhere, you could at least let us know WHERE that other national / local intel venue is. If you're just DONE with this site, just SAY SO please. I'll get Spider's phone number and just CALL him when I want to "conversate" as the young folks say!
.
I get that life is busy, I get that we're all always moving forward, but I think this site let each of us know what was happening elsewhere. More than once I got an idea from one of you THERE that allowed or pushed me to do something HERE.
.
I never heard of Ron Paul until I was here. He sure as HELL wasn't getting air time from the MSM. I never heard of Glenn Beck until I was here. Again, he wasn't on my local radar. But because of you here, I saw Beck MONTHS before most because someone here pointed me to his show at CNN. I would never have looked at CNN for anything.
.
Hell's bells and cockle shells, I heard the story about a veteran speaking at Columbia and the idiot response he got up there. BUT unlike most Americans, that story wasn't JUST about some veteran, it became about OUR extended family!! I felt for the guy to start with, but I was LIVID when I found out that he was alan's brother.
.
It DID make it different to me.
.
Folks, you may not believe this, but as a Christian and an old hippie, I firmly believe in the Family of Man, and I absolutely believe that blood is NOT the only thing that makes a family. I once thought there was a connection here that might someday be good for all of us. I thought there was a 'mi casa es su casa' thing going on here given that WE were talking about SHTF way LONG before it hit the general populace.
.
Was I in the minority thinking that, OR has this, like much in life in the too fast 21st Century, run it's useful course?

America's Muslim Heritage
I received this from a friend of mine and thought i'd share it with you all...
Barack Obama, during his Cairo speech, said: "I know, too, that Islam has always been a part of America 's story."
AN AMERICAN CITIZEN'S RESPONSE:
Dear Mr. Obama:
Were those Muslims that were in America when the Pilgrims first landed? Funny, I thought they were Native American Indians.
Were those Muslims that celebrated the first Thanksgiving day? Sorry again, those were Pilgrims and Native American Indians.
Can you show me one Muslim signature on the United States Constitution?
Declaration of Independence ?
Bill of Rights?
Didn't think so.
Did Muslims fight for this country's freedom from England ? No.
Did Muslims fight during the Civil War to free the slaves in America ? No, they did not. In fact, Muslims to this day are still the largest traffickers in human slavery. Your own half brother, a devout Muslim, still advocates slavery himself, even though Muslims of Arabic descent refer to black Muslims as "pug nosed slaves." Says a lot of what the Muslim world really thinks of
your family's "rich Islamic heritage," doesn't it Mr.Obama?
Where were Muslims during the Civil Rights era of this country? Not present.
There are no pictures or media accounts of Muslims walking side by side with Martin Luther King, Jr. or helping to advance the cause of Civil Rights.
Where were Muslims during this country's Woman's Suffrage era? Again, not present. In fact, devout Muslims demand that women be subservient to men in the Islamic culture. So much so, that often they are beaten for not wearing the 'hajib' or for talking to a man who is not a direct family member or their husband. Yep, the Muslims are all for women's rights aren't they?
Where were Muslims during World War II? They were aligned with Adolf Hitler. The Muslim grand mufti himself met with Adolf Hitler, reviewed the troops and accepted support from the Nazi's in killing Jews.
Finally, Mr. Obama, where were Muslims on Sept. 11th, 2001? If they weren't flying planes into the World Trade Center , the Pentagon or a field in Pennsylvania killing over 3,000 people on our own soil, they were rejoicing in the Middle East . No one can dispute the pictures shown from all parts of the Muslim world celebrating on CNN, Fox News, MSNBC and other cable news networks that day. Strangely, the very "moderate" Muslims who's asses you bent over backwards to kiss in Cairo , Egypt on June 4th were stone cold silent post 9-11. To many Americans, their silence has meant approval for the acts of that day.
And THAT, Mr. Obama, is the "rich heritage" Muslims have here in America ..
Oh, I'm sorry, I forgot to mention the Barbary Pirates. They were Muslim. And now we can add November 5, 2009 - the slaughter of American soldiers at Fort Hood by a Muslim major who is a doctor, a psychiatrist, and above all, a terrorist, who was supposed to be counseling soldiers returning from battle in Iraq and Afghanistan .
That, Mr. Obama is the "Muslim heritage" in America...

HIS people? Mr. Holder, aren't we ALL your people?
Eric Jamooga Ruhallah Washington LAW-Man Holder (don't most of "his" people have African, Muslim, and / or Street Names? Yo dog, I'm jes' sayin'. and more blacks are named Washington than whites, it's the blackest name in America) but I digress, Mr. Holder has decided to SIDE with HIS people over the Black Panther voter case in Philly. Actually he said "MY" people.
.
Attorney General Eric Holder finally got fed up Tuesday with claims that the Justice Department went easy in a voting rights case against members of the New Black Panther Party because they are African American.
Holder's frustration over the criticism became evident during a House Appropriations subcommittee hearing as Rep. John Culberson (R-Texas) accused the Justice Department of failing to cooperate with a Civil Rights Commission investigation into the handling of the 2008 incident in which Black Panthers in intimidating outfits and wielding a club stood outside a polling place in Philadelphia.
The Attorney General seemed to take personal offense at a comment Culberson read in which former Democratic activist Bartle Bull called the incident the most serious act of voter intimidation he had witnessed in his career.
"Think about that," Holder said. "When you compare what people endured in the South in the 60s to try to get the right to vote for African Americans, and to compare what people were subjected to there to what happened in Philadelphia—which was inappropriate, certainly that…to describe it in those terms I think does a great disservice to people who put their lives on the line, who risked all, for my people," said Holder, who is black.
Holder noted that his late sister-in-law, Vivian Malone Jones, helped integrate the University of Alabama.
.
Let me ask a question? What do you think the MSM would have said or done IF John Ashcroft, Mike Mukasey or even Roberto Gonzales had gone on record saying they were dropping or prosecuting a federal case based on "MY People"? Michael Moore would have gotten two movies and a PBS Special out of the new racism if those guys had SAID the words "MY People". Sean Penn would be picketing Mukasy's house. The LGBT crowd would be screaming about gay rights. (this case doesn't have anything to do with gay rights, but they'd get it in there)
.
Mr. Holder as THE most powerful lawyer in the country, we are ALL your people. Protect us ALL. Siding with the Black Panthers NOW doesn't have anything to do with the wrongs of the past. (and if anyone is offended by my stringing our Mr. Holders name above, I was just trying to show my solidarity, connection and familiarity WITH Mr. Holder's people. Being a southerner, with southern roots going back over 300 years, and if you believe some anthropologists, that means I have African blood in me. Doesn't THAT make ME included in HIS people?)
.
And WTF does his late sister-in-law's actions have to do with this? My grandfather fought for the Teamsters Union to help get it recognized in the 20's and 30's, but that doesn't give ME any attachment to unions NOW. For good OR bad that was Pop's doings. Mr. Holder was playing Seven Degrees of Separation with this topic. BFD on that.

Class Struggle, Taxes and Brainless Idiots.
Video of unions, socialists, professors and teachers. From Glenn Beck's "The Blaze".
.
Honestly, I'm speechless over this video. And anyone who is a regular here should know I tend toward being verbose and bellicose. But this has me stymied, quiet and befuddled. Just watch it. And try not to weep. Because it's sad.
