We've got friends who just moved from NC, to Dallas. They had NOT counted on all this snow. I guess they were counting on Global Warming to keep them warm and dry in the Southwest.

[actually, yours truly told them to expect snow, ice, sleet, rain, drought, dust storms, plagues of locusts, etc., when they decided to move out there but they'd visited there, for 10 whole days, TWICE, so they knew what to expect I guess that's why they sold their snow shovel at a yard sale before they moved]

Missy,
that's too bad. Are the liberals blaming your new Republican Governor yet?

This is awful. Now everyone in Austin will turn up their heat, creating more greenhouse gasses and making Global Warming all the worse.

One from the Beeb!!

Evidently they hadn't heard that Global Warming is a lie, so currently they're having one of those Global Warming blizzards in Russia. With Moscow covered with record snow, I wonder if the cheese eating surrender monkeys are about to attack?

Al,
you should use all that hot air you make, and use it to turn a wind generator.

Mr. Schteveo,
No way will I put one of those ugly, raptor-eating machines near my pristine 27,000 sq ft home.

And since all my fuel needs come from Occidental, I have no need for alternative engergy. It's you little people who are ruining the earth.

Besides - I buy millions of dollars in carbon credits from myself every year.

Now, quit whining and turn down your thermostat, STAT!

Thilly conthervative.

Spider,
we're due for up to 2" of Global Warming here too. I'm headed to the liquor store as soon as I'm up and moving. Bread, milk and TP I've got!!

I heard some of the Free Speech thing yesterday on local radio. But you HAVE to read the entire list of rules to see just how foolish they are and how hard it would be to actually enforce these lists of BS. Is there anyway to enforce rules like this,

Davidson College bans "innuendoes," "teasing," "jokes," and "comments or inquiries about dating."

It's been my experience, especially among young college age guys, (military age too) that they would be 80% mute, if THAT rule was enforced. And the people I heard said many of the rules are like that. One of the common rules is about NEVER disagreeing with or arguing with a professor, asst. professor or any such classroom leader or person in charge, or some such idiot wording. Here's what the guy on the radio said,

That means you could NEVER have a Debate Team on one of the campus of one of these schools. And there could never be a question and answer period, post any speech by ANYONE regardless of the topic or political or societal content.

Good points, huh? It doesn't just shut down speech, it shuts down learning. Indoctrination is wide open though. And finally, we can never forget that our college campuses are run be leftists who are about anything BUT free speech, and that runs throughout the country, not just the South.

There's a reason we all call the main home of UNC, The Peoples Republic of Chapel Hill!!

Aren't you looking forward to leaving Hawaii and going home?

Schteveo, I guess your friends told you about the 12" Dallas got in one day? That's 10" more than their annual total.

We've still got 12" of global warming on the ground (in the shade) with more coming Thurs. and yet again more on Sunday.

It's Thur morning here in The Big Toilet, (a.k.a. NYC) and there's a ton of global warming coming down right now, with lots and lots more due! I should be in Boca Raton looking at string bikinis and sucking on a Southern Comfort! Or is it, well, never mind. Life is not fair.
