I naturally go right to the conclusion, that THOUSANDS will be attending. Silly Me! Actually, several hundred showed up, but there were two good college b'ball match-ups on local tube yesterday, some of the interested parties might have missed the March.

Anyway, it was once again an effort to show how gub'ment's lack of money expended, time spent and generally abuse of the African-Americans is the problem. Regardless of the rest of the story, or rhetoric, THIS next paragraph is so obviously a bunch of (words you can't say in CA anymore) , that it's pitiful that people would still believe them.

That's actually a single sentence, but when you read the article, you'll see that the writer or editor separated it and create a paragraph out of it. It's untrue or falsely strung together anyway!! And I'll dissect it to show how, I don't disagree with the idea, I disagree that GOVERNMENT is the problem or answer!

I'll admit that there's a connection, the more or better education you get and keep getting the better your jobs get. And when I say education I don't mean CLASSROOM time, I mean learning. We talked right here recently about this exact topic.

I'll admit that the majority of convicts / ex-cons I know have little education, formal or otherwise. BUT most of these clowns quit voluntarily or were expelled for breaking the rules. How is that the states fault or what can the state do to solve it?

I'll admit that incarceration rates among AA men are higher, but they are either committing more crimes or are dumber than the non-AA men about covering them up. Again, how can the state fix that? And I think it's the former cause, committing more crimes, not the latter, getting caught through ignorance.

But why should the NAACP expect the state to help them solve problems caused by a cultural affinity for 60% of births being outside marriage, a culture that loves and emulate thugs in entertainment and reality and where there are fewer and fewer nuclear families? In order to break the cycle, is the state supposed to FORCE them to marry, or abort children of un-married couples, force them to stay in school, force them to pull their pants up, turn their hats around, stop flashing gang signs and stop watching hip-hop videos full of near naked ho's, misogyny and gun violence? Yeah, that'd work for 2 seconds before the ACLU was screaming about free speech, artistic freedom and a return to slavery!!

But the truth is that until AA's attempt to reestablish a love for family, an acknowledgment that education is NOT lame and the law is NOT just for white folks, the NAACP will NOT make any headway. And if saying that makes me a racist, well then, so is Bill Cosby!

Yada, yada, yada! It's the same old bullshit. WE WANT MORE OF EVERYTHING! Generally speaking,
1. More blacks are in jail because they commit the majority of violent crimes. And yes, as criminals, they are dumb.
2. Blacks demand more from govt. because that's what the guilt-ridden White liberals have taught them to do.
3. Most black kids are born out of marriage because blacks don't care about society and it's structure, and every kids means a bigger check.
4. Many blacks don't work because they don't have the time since they're busy waiting for that next check.
5. The reason many black activist organizations demand the govt to do more is because they know that tactic works. The louder they are, the more they get.
6. Most young blacks are not at all interested in "family structure" because a family would cut into their drug-dealing time, and therefor their profits. Besides, they think it's abnormal to have one woman.
As for the notion that "better education means better jobs", i don't buy it. I have two counsins who are both multi-millionaires, and neither finished high school, but both are strong believers in hard work.
Good jobs come from "effort, desire to accomplish, self respect, and a sense of personal responsibility". Some of the dumbest people i've met had degrees and letters after their name. Being educated and being smart are two very different things. And thanks to generations of bleeding-heart White liberals, far too many blacks have neither. Will the system change? Not in our life time!
And for the mindless liberals who crawl in here from time to time, don't bother calling me a racist because it doesn't bother me one bit. In some respects i surely am a racist. I was taught how to be one by many of the people i've had to deal with over the years. All black! Besides, facts can not be racist.
Don't forget folks, the census long form is on the way. The "only part" they have any authority to make you fill in is "the number of people that live there". The rest of it is none of their business. They won't keep it secret, it has been used in the past against the people and there is no way to keep it from being used again

your cousins may not have formal education, i.e. classroom time, but they are educated. They found a business, became better at it than the next guy, and made tons of money by busting their butts.
But there are plenty of people busting their butts out there and NOT becoming millionaires. Every guy with a shovel busting his behind 60 hours a week doesn't end up owning the ditch digging company. Only the guys who LEARN how to manage people, manage resources, manage payroll, manage customers, book new jobs, blah, blah, blah, become business owners. Most hard workers are working for someone else because they aren't LEARNING what it takes to excel in "X" business and become the boss or owner.
I'm not sure what business your cousins are in, but if they started at the bottom, and worked up to be mngt, or owners, IMHO, they LEARNED something the other guys in "X" business didn't.
And I'm with you on the problems in the AA community, the first step to fixing a problem is admitting YOU have a problem. Blaming gun companies for violence, liquor companies for alcoholism, and whomever else for whatever else is what children do.

Steve, my cousins started with nothing. They "did not" believe in govt hand-out programs, saying, whenever the govt gives you something, it puts a rope around your neck. The more you take, the tighter the rope gets until you're no longer free. They were the kind of guys who could look at some machine, and ten minutes later, they could not only build one, but usually make it better, and just with their hands. But they come from an American era that is no more.
And, as i've said before, it has always amazed me to see how blacks give their political support to the Demoncrats and the Left, when it's been those Leftists who have deprived blacks of their self-respect, sense of self-worth, self esteem, individuality, and lots more. They are a perfect example of how much damage propaganda and "free cheese" can cause.
Case in point #1:
My friend's daughter is a OB/GYN nurse at our local hospital where the bills are paid by the taxpayers. Her last delivery was a 19 year old AA who was having her 5th child (more than likely the 5th sperm donor contributed).

How typical of comrade Maher (a guy who married a black street hooker) to give the impression that only men are sex addicts. As for Tiger, (IMO) he's a low-life, but, he wasn't doin all that screwin by his self! He's taken all the heat for his actions, (and rightfully so) but you don't hear one negative word about all those gold-digging tramps with their ready-to-hand-out ad agency photos. In fact, i read that at least one of them may get her own "reality" show, and the way this country is going, it'll probably be a hit! How's that for America's "moral compass".
