Gun ban during SOE

.
Here's what I did. I took that federal section, split it up, highlighted and colored the headers and made it nice and clean. It's copy and laminate ready now. I'm making two copies, one for my van, where I regularly carry and one for my gun and ammo bag.
.
Here's how to get yours.
.
In the comments section, just let me know, and I'll send you a copy. I'm pretty sure I have everyone's e-mail addx from our past roll calls.

I moved my comment to an earlier post here since it seems to be appropriate.

Here in NYC, the law states that anyone licensed to carry a concealed weapon "shall surrender said weapon (and license) upon the request of, or order by, any Police Officer". There's nothing in that law that i'm aware of that requires "probable cause" or any other requirement to seize the weapon and license. Keep in mind that, to the best of my knowledge, this law has never been challenged in a court. Not yet any way.

Note the federal law that Steve is talking about seems to give way to state and local laws.

Spider,
I think the local guys are aced out too, given that not ONE of them operates sans federal funding, during normal ops or SOE ops. The law reads as follows,
.
.
No officer or employee of the United States (including any member of the uniformed services), or person operating pursuant to or under color of Federal law, or receiving Federal funds, or under control of any Federal official, or providing services to such an officer, employee, or other person, while acting in support of relief from a major disaster or emergency, may
.
.
then it lists the exact prohibitions and the reactions to those. AND this was specifically written, post Katrina, where ALL the agencies on the ground, took weapons from law abiding citizens.

Since the Constitution has been rendered obsolete, null and void, virtually no one in NYC has a carry permit, concealed or otherwise, rendering it a rather moot point.
And it renders my name obsolete as well

I understand the point Steve. Just about everyone here receives Fed money in one form or another, but i don't think it'll be enough to get by NY's "very" tough gun laws.

You would be amazed at how many "connected" people have them here Bill. In fact, the same law firm that handled the Heller 2nd Amendment case in DC has filed suit against NYC and the NYPD, (and also Chicago) for making it all but impossible for law abiding citizens to get a concealed carry permit here. They won't have an easy time of it, not while "His Majesty" Bloomberg is still here.
