Come And Get It

Maybe i'm a bit dense, but how does someone go hungry in 2008 America unless they want to, or the food money is going for drugs? This is the hand-out capital of the world, with hundreds of govt. programs for the so-called needy! Note the "PC'ized" language in this article. "Households that were food insecure?" Also, take note of the fine print under the map. It says, "food insecurity means people did not have access to enough food for an active, healthy, life." Does that mean people didn't get enough bean-sprouts or Tofu? How much food is needed for an active and healthy life, and wouldn't that vary from person to person?

At first, i thought a report from the U.S Dept. of Agriculture on Food Security meant they were finally going to look into why most of the food we get from China and Mexico is poisoned and contaminated. How foolish of me to think they would care about that.

Why buy food when you can buy crack instead.

Tell me why most of these "food insecure" people are obese. As for hungry children, I'm betting that their mother (there is no dad) is too damn lazy, too busy picking up more boyfriends, spending too much money on a hair-do or bling or fingernails (or crack), or just flat doesn't care enough to feed 'em.
