I'm sorry, darlin'. Anything I can do to make it better?

I'm only guessing here, but for the funeral, I bet they'll spare no expense?

Godspeed Dr. Crichton, we'll miss you.

Oh, the memories of staying up late and reading Crichton until i fell asleep.

Andromeda Strain;

A Case of Need;

A State of Fear;

I could go on, but in the interest of brevity, I will simply say this:

Few people have the opportunity to be a source of enlightenment to so many as Dr. Crichton did. Even fewer lived up to the opportunity. He not only lived up to it, but surpassed it, and left this world having greatly enriched the lives of many thousands of people, filling their heads with wonderous scientific possibility, instead of the corrosive drivel with which many people with his opportunity tend to clog the heads of the populace.

Godspeed, indeed.

Michael Crichton was a superb writer who provided me with many hours of enjoyable reading. The last two of his novels I read, "Next" and "Prey" were unbearably suspenseful yet his premises were completely unbelievable.

"Crichton gets a shot at tha title outdoors in a ballpark an' I get a one way ticket to palookaville. I could'a been a contender, Charlie. I could'a been somebody instead of a bum; which is what I am."

I remember reading "The Andromeda Strain" followed by "The Terminal Man" and really liked his style and story lines. I was/am still a fan.

I am saddened by his passing - knowing no more great books from his fertile intellect.

Thank you so much Dr. Mike.

Enjoy the new adventure you're on now.
