"the bus came by and I got on. That's when it all began. There was Captain Neil, at the wheel, on a bus to Nevereverland"
It's so tempting to say what I was thinking, but my prayers go out to the Obama Family at this time. I don't or won't assume what their relationship truly was. I wish him well as he goes back to Illinois and goes into a private law practice following a close election tomorrow.
I posted my suspicion that Obama’s last-minute trip to Hawaii was an attempt to cover-up and prevent the investigation into his birth certificate and citizenship status.
As it turns out, his Grandmother really was quite sick.
I am the first to admit it when I’m wrong, and the first to apologize in that case.
I think it is very sad that she died before she had the chance to see the outcome of the election. A woman as vested in her grandchild as she was (she did the lions share of raising him and supported him financially while he was growing up) deserved to live at least long enough to see the outcome, successful for him or not.
Politics aside, my sincerest condolences to Senator Obama and his family in this sad and stressful hour, and my apologies for my earlier suspicions. Whether you agree with his policies and politics or not, I think you have to feel sorry for what has happened here (unless you are Poots).
That being said, I still don’t understand why he doesn’t just release a vault copy of his birth certification, and be done with all of this that would cause me to have these suspicions. As it were, I still think that he is technically not a natural born US citizen, and will continue to do so until he chooses to be upfront with us all and show us his vault certificate, his records at the various colleges that he attended, and the source of funding for said education. There is no reason to hide any of this if he is natural born, so lets see it, Senator! Enough is enough, already!
I'm sure Mrs. Dunham was a wonderful person. She gave everything she could to a grandson that "threw her under the bus". I'm sorry....But I have a hard time feeling sorry for someone who called his grandmother "my white grandmother - a woman who helped raise ME, a woman who sacrificed again and again for ME, a woman who loves ME as much as she loves anything in this world, but a woman who once confessed her fear of black men who passed by her on the street, and who on more than one occasion has uttered racial or ethnic stereotypes that made ME cringe." He must think it's all about him.
If I may so rudely repeat myself from another blog;
May God rest her soul. It couldn't have been easy raising a grandson who classified her as a "typical white person".
Neither of my grandmothers were "typical". They were very special - if to no one else - to me. They were "Depression-Dust Bowl" wives/mothers who had true grit and could handle a squirrel gun.
I'm certain Obama's grandmother was far from typical, and had more balls than the Big Empty O will ever have.
Ditto on the grandmothers. Neither of mine were typical either. Like Mrs. Dunham, they sacrificed again and again to make sure that their children succeeded (or is that seceded? ;-)....) and had a better life. The 7 children they had between them would never criticize them to the world as Obama did, at least not while they were still alive. I'm sure she was hurt. I hope he made that trip to Hawaii to ask her for forgiveness.

Who knew that Obama would play the "Elizabeth Edwards" card?

Better her than me!
