'President Obama' could overturn marriage amendments

Would this set a precedent of taking away states' rights?
I repeat.....Texas our Texas.....Secede from the union! (Thanks Jimbo :-)...)

Gimme a break. States rights was an issue that saw it's demise in 1865. Still clinging to those guns and archaic religious beliefs, I see...

Our loyal opposition will tell you that the phrase "states rights" is code for racism and indicates supoport of Jim Crow laws, lynchings and denial of civil rights to minorities. Apparently, our learned opponents on the left side of the aisle have not read the Tenth Amendment.

'Succeeding' is fine - but I would rather Secede.

Marriage amendments first, then the 1st, 2nd, 4th, 10th, and whatever else stands in the way of his plans for "change".

Oh cr*p :-O
Succeed....Secede....(It's been a long day already.)
What the hell do they care either way! Change it.....Just change it! We need "fundamental" (code word for constitutional) CHANGE!

I am not in favor of gay marriage. But to me it is not a critical issue like the economy or security. I think the gays have to worry about the marriage penalties when it comes to taxation.

I believe gay marriage is a crtiical issue because it's one of the things the Left is using to break-down the country's basic religious beliefs and moral values.

The same could be said about the issue of abortion.

I didn't say it is a non-issue, even though we might disagree on that and the substance as well. But to me they are not the acutely critical issues of the day. They are talking points thathave no clear settlement any time soon. But our economy and our security we do need to face immediately
