First thing you have to learn to accept in a tyranny is you don't f*ck with the king.

This situation reminds me of a time, way back when, when a milquetoast do-nothing schmuck was kicked upstairs and became our department boss. Over time, he became a swell-headed tyrant - who's decisions were to be followed without comment. Those who said, "WTF?" became unemployed. I was at the point where I was going to tell him to go f*ck himself - knowing it would cost me my job. What saved me from myself was I got an offer for an overseas gig and I grabbed it. I've seen what this kind of monster ego can do when it gets in power. Nothing good about it.
