What is Obama Hiding?

~
The most "open government" in history, huh?
~
President's attorneys file motion demanding birth, college records be withheld from public

A high-powered team of Los Angeles attorneys representing President Obama in his effort to keep his birth certificate, college records and passport documents concealed from the public has suggested there should be "monetary sanctions" against a lawyer whose clients have brought a complaint alleging Obama doesn't qualify for the Oval Office under the Constitution's demand for a "natural born" citizen in that post.
~
I ask again - what is the liberal's little messiah hiding?

"An unprecedented and looming constitutional crisis awaits if a President elected by the popular vote and the electoral vote does not constitutionally qualify to serve in that capacity"

I'm not sure this is a crisis. There are procedures for replacing the President, should he not be able to continue. Crisis averted.

I still think he's hiding something, but that's just the way I think when someone is ACTUALLY HIDING SOMETHING!!! What else do you call it when someone says, "We'd like to see 'X' records", and the answer is, "...QUICK, someone call a lawyer!!!"

Coonly? That's awful!!

Missy said...

The crisis el Schteveo is that every bill his signed, every order he signed, every everything he officially did becomes instantly undone. How do you recall money already spent? Rescind treaties signed? It would not be a matter of changing presidents, his presidency would become void.

"I'm not sure this is a crisis. There are procedures for replacing the President, should he not be able to continue. Crisis averted."

Not so fast Stevie. In fact, if this were to happen, the country would find out the real meaning of crisis, like in race riots! Can you just hear the chants of racism coming from blacks and their left-wing supporters? And they wouldn't care one bit about how much factual evidence there is. But maybe that's not so bad since the country needs a good cleaning.

Anonymous said...

Apparently he's hiding what many of us assume he's hiding, the fact that he has no legal right to be President, the fact that his much-touted academic credentials are bogus, that the stories about his marxist affiliations in Chicago are true, and that every word he said during his campaign was a lie.

"Grammie" or whatever name he wants to call me!! said...

It's a birth certificate for Christ's sake. How hard can it be? And college records? My daughter has had to produce her college transcripts at least 3 times since she graduated from college just applying for jobs..... Or does a community planner not need to produce such documents? Missy, Spidey and Anonymous are all correct.

Anonymous said...

What documents would a "community planner" (see: neighborhood agitator, rabble-rouser) need to show, an arrest record perhaps?

So we're back to this old chestnut.

Do you people ever have a second act?

My second act is this:

Do you have anything constructive to suggest improving the status quo, or are you going to employ the time honored tradition of "progressives" by whining, complaining and finger pointing to no purpose? As loath as I am to admit it, I'm a registered Democrat, so complaining about and demonizing the Republican Party is worse than useless. It just wastes bandwidth.

I am reminded of the picture of a protester at the Democratic National Convention of 1972**, when the party allowed our platform to be hijacked by fools and crazy people. He was standing on the Miami Beach auditorium floor, resplendent in a dashiki and afro, attempting to set fire to his convention credentials with a Bic lighter. His brave and noble act fell flat when his badge proved to be flame resistant.

The best that the Democratic Party has done in the past eight years of that idiot George Bush's administration is to stand on the sidelines mewling, "Well, at least we're not Republicans.

**By the way, I voted for George McGovern in 1972 because I believed that bumper sticker that said, Dick Nixon! Before Nixon dicks you.

nerd said...

Oh, and by the way, my liberal credentials are quite equal to your own. I am a member of the ACLU because I believed that that organization was the best way to fight the excesses of the Bush administration's signing statements, the USAPA and the illegal NSA wiretaps. I also belong to the Sierra Club, NOW and Amnesty International

HLF - The fact that Obama is going to such great measures to completely hide his relevant background from his "subjects" should concern everyone - especially his fervent constituency.

The fact that you brush it off with such ease demonstrates what a blind, mindless, uncaring, Obamatron-borg you are. If Obama commanded you to douse yourself with gasoline and torch yourself, I have no doubt you would comply without question.

For one thing your link was to World Net Daily a nutjob con news source if you can even call it news. It throws red meat to the unknowing.

How many court rulings about his birth certificate do you want? This has been settled many times.

You people adopted this tactic sometime in the 90s, the idea that any liberal leader is not legitimate and that you can bring them down with scandal, innuendo and lies. You did it with Clinton. He was a murderer, drug dealer, killed Vince Foster, yada yada yada. It's a transparent, stupid tactic that will only win over other mouthbreathers.

I mean, if he's liberal he MUST be hiding something. There MUST be skeletons in his closet because how else will you defeat him?

You people are like the kids in school who lose the big game and then tell everyone else in school that the winning team wets the bed or you saw them jacking off. Then you go to the awards ceremony and trip the other kids as they go up to collect their trophies.

It's appalling behavior and it's getting old. Perhaps some new ideas that don't involve destroying the economy would be helpful to your cause?

HE WON. REPUBLICANS LOST. GET THE FUCK OVER IT AND MAKE SOMETHING OF YOUR AWFUL PARTY.

I guess we should be praising you though. You used to simply asassinate liberal leaders. Now you just try character asassination.

Jimbo said...

Great rant, HLF - in which you attacked the messenger and the sponsors of the message, spouted the party line, but you failed to address to the message.

Is the messenger lying? Does Obama not have lawyers blocking access to his records? Please address - fact or fiction?

Is the message wrong: Does Obama not really wish to block everyone to know his past? Please address - fact or fiction?

And while you’re at it, tell us again what has been asked of you again and again: Where has your beloved socialism/communism has been a success? Regime/Country/Date, economic situation before/after - lives saved/lost, etc., etc. please.

One final request; while you are exhaustively researching - please tell us how WorldNetDaily is less competent than ABS, NBS, CBS, CNN, or FOX. Please give us all just one example of where you’ve personally caught WND in a lie.

Do some research, boy. We are all breathlessly waiting for anything from you beyond Obamatron-borg rhetoric.

BTW - You DO deserve limited congrats for make two posts in a row (at least in this thread) without overt profane name-calling. Perhaps you're growing up? What are you - 21, 22? As you grow up and learn to think and interact with your fellow humans, you'll find your opinions more openly received when you use civility. Eg - you don't spit on us, we won't shit on you.

Anonymous said...

The message has been addressed time and again. I'm not going to research it for you when courts have ruled against these insane charges many times.

Everyone's personal records are sealed from the general public. If there were a problem it would have come to light in the election. But then, you have an answer for that too. You'll say it was all a conspriacy of the media, the courts, the jews, susnspots, etc.....

You're grabbing at straws, desperate for a big scandal that will sink this Obama guy. You have nothing else. Nothing.

Conservatism is dead and your side thinks they can revive it with Clinton era tactics.

You expect people to believe that this guy lied his way to Harvard, to a leadership position there, to his professorship, to his political office, to the Senate and now to the Presidency. he's a fake, a fraud, a wolf in sheep's clothing. He's muslim, he's a terrorist, Bill Ayers' best terror friend, his wife is a whore, his kids spawns of the devil.

He defeated your guy and is wildly popular and just had a HUGE victory over the republicans. So now we go back to the tried and true desperate tactics. Adn you want me to prove a negative.

You'll NEVER BE HAPPY. You people just came off a 30 year period of conservative dominance that FAILED. I'd be pissed too.

Jimbo said...

HLF - LOL Dude - calm down;

I'm not "pissed because my guy lost"

I didn't have a "guy" - there wan't anyone worthy to be "my guy". You need to come to grip with the fact that conservatives are not bound by particular "guys". LOL!

No - conservatism is NOT dead. That's like saying Christianity or Communism or Bhudism is dead. Quit saying that - it makes you sound ignorant. Has conservatism (and Christianity) suffered a setback? Most definitly. I can't argue that fact.

HLF - you said "Everyone's personal records are sealed from the general public."

That's just not true. Show me how that's true. When I apply for a job, all my reocrds are available. When you or I buy a house or a car - all those records are available. Please show us all how your statement "Everyone's personal records are sealed from the general public" is true.

"You'll NEVER BE HAPPY." Wrong again. I'm happier than a clam in the mud. Just talked to my family back in Texas (they're happier than clams in the mud, too) - we're just trying to decide how many hundred pounds of rice and beans to stock up on to weather the Obama regime. We have plenty of bullets. :-)

HLF - Have you thought about a few extra bags of rice & beans to see you through your messiah's rule? :-) You should consider it. I'll shoot you should you try to steal mine. :-)

If he didn't lie his way to Harvard - or get there with substandard grades on the the "quota ticket" - prove it.

I repeat: >If he didn't lie his way to Harvard - or get there with substandard grades on the the "quota ticket" - prove it.

You see - you can't prove anything - your guy is all smoke and mirrors, and while he got 52 million votes - 57 million voted against him.

Jimbo said...

Oh - HLF - thank you again for making a post without using profanity and name-calling.

Normally - a person wouldn't have to be "thanked" for being human. Interesting you seem to be different. Hmmm. :-)

Jimbo said...

Oh - by golly - HLF...
And while you’re at it, tell us again what has been asked of you again and again: Where has your beloved socialism/communism has been a success? Regime/Country/Date, economic situation before/after - lives saved/lost, etc., etc. please.

AND - 2009-30=1979 - are you mathematically impared, ignorant of history, - or do CARTER & CLINTON - a total of 12 years - not count?

Jimbo said...

Come on HLF - you see - as long as you don't use sophomoric insults, I'm more than willing to engage you. The second you resort to name-calling and insults, all bets are off.

Now, you haven’t answered ANY of these questions. Please answer:

Is the messenger (WND) lying? Does Obama not have lawyers blocking access to his records? Please address - fact or fiction? (You indicated this has been addressed, okay - by whom, when, how, what was the answer?)

Is the message wrong: Does Obama not really wish to block everyone to know his past? Please address - fact or fiction? (You indicated this has been addressed, okay - by whom, when, how, what was the answer?)

Please tell us how WorldNetDaily is less competent than ABS, NBS, CBS, CNN, or FOX. Please give us all just one example of where you’ve personally caught WND in a lie.

Where has socialism/communism been a success? Regime/Country/Date, economic situation before/after - lives saved/lost, etc., etc. – please answer. Convince us your way is a better way. Convince us with facts, please.

If Bush’s academic (and other) history was so important to liberals (and used against him time and time again) why isn’t Obama’s academic (and other) history important? Is this a double standard – or is Obama simply beyond reproach because he is your gawd?

You seem to want to be a member of this blog community – or else you would quit posting here. To be a member, you must be something other that a name-caller. Or is your purpose simply to be insulting? NO? Liberals are supposed to be tolerant, understanding, thoughtful, and knowledgeable - right? Prove it.

If it was up to me, I would delete every post you make because they are a waste of cyber-space and meant to arouse emotion rather than to arouse thought.

Prove me wrong, HLF. Prove your worth as a human. Answer the questions above. :-)

The mere fact that his birth certificate and his affirmative-action sponsered academic credentials are being questioned by serious people, and blocked by his attorneys, is proof enough.

If I were to assert this:

At Harvard Law School, Obama graduated Magna Cum Laude, which, according to the Havard Law School website, is awarded to the top 10% of Harvard Law School students.
Also at Harvard Law School, Obama was accepted as one of 85-90 Editors of the Harvard Law Review, out of an estimated 1,000 students from the 2L and 3L classes that might have sought this honor. Obama was also elected President of the Law Review, which according to a Harvard Law spokesperson is not based at all on academics, but on other measures as would occure in any club.

you would simply say it was affirmative action.

If I were to say that I doubt the veracity of World Net Daily stories about Obama's citizenship because no other news sources are obsessed with it, you would claim they are in the tank for Obama.

If I were to say that the question of his citizenship was dealt with during the election when republicans were desperately seeking ANYTHING to sink Obama's rising popularity you would say there was a conspiracy to keep his records private, that he traveled to Hawaii ostensibly to visit his ailing grandmother but really to "scrub his records and create a fake birth certificate".

If I were to say that his records are now sealed to keep the brainstem cons from picking at every little thing in order to trip up and smear a sitting President you will claim he's hiding something. As mentioned before, any good news, such as his academic record at Harvard or his visiting professorship will be dismissed as the result of affirmative action.

My transcipts are private and not released to ANYONE unless I authorize it.

You will always have an answer for any explanation given. There's always a conspiracy, a lie, a scheme that, in your fevered mind allows a man totally unfit for the office of President to be elected. And what is it about him that makes him unfit? His ideas are liberal and everyoe knows that there are no legitimate liberal leaders, never has been. Even FDR, who won four terms, actually prolonged the Depression, right? It was a trick, a scheme, achieved by payoffs and graft and illegality.

I mean, how else can anyone with liberal views gain power?

Do I read you correctly? Hasn't your primal, irrational and totally misguided fear of being "forced" to turn your precious paycheck over to lazy niggers and other assorted good-for-nothings totally obliterated any hope of reasoning with you?

As for the success or failure of political ideologies:

Please define "socialism".

Is it when a society collects funds from all and elects leaders to direct the expenditure of those funds to priorities that, ideally, benefit the most people?

Was it socialism when groups of people came to this country and coalesced around a common territory- a town, village or city- and created schools, roads, water systems, sewer systems, sewage treatment for all to use, eliminating the wasteful duplication of effort of "every man for himself"?

Was it socialism when the US government spent huge sums of money collected from all to further the fields of agriculture, medicine and defense so that those three areas are where America has excelled?

Was it socialism that created Social Security, a very successful program that dropped old age poverty from 80% to 20%?

Is it socialism that grants our elderly health care insurance in order to fill the gap of coverge created by capitalism? Would capitalism have provided coverage for illness-prone old people without prohibitive cost? Can you get car repair insurance for a car with 250,000 miles?

These are very successful socialistic policies. Public education is another, from kindergarten to the university level. The widespread availability of public education was a key component in America's successes.

The most peaceful, well-run countries are also the most socialist. Yes, there have been failures of countries that pursued socialist policies. But what actually caused their problems? Is it too simplistic to blame a prevailing ideology?

Using that logic I can claim that capitalism failed during the time of the Great Depression and again now. Why did Bush go on TV to beg for a bailout of the financial sector? Why didn't the free-market capitalist system fix itself? Why are we subsidizing so much? What happened to require such drastic action?

Now of course, you'll drop back to the typical con fall-back position, claiming that if even one liberal was holding office, they were the reason for capitalism's failure. Not to mention how capitalism never really "fails" in the eyes of the conservative. If only one person has vast, immeasurable wealth, capitalism is considered a success. Capitalism doesn't set a bar for failure and must regularly deny any role that collectivist policies played in its successes.

When cons lose the argument they normally just yell and walk away.

I'm not a racist. I was using the word in the way I have heard it used many times when people complain about welfare.

So claiming that Obama, a black man, got where he is due to affirmative action, isn't that a little, well, a lot racist?

Just admit you had no comeback.

Nerd:

Socialism works right here, you verbose toady. We pool our resources and get thigs done for the public good. We pay taxes to provide a social safety net for our most vulnerable citizens. We provide health care and Social Security for our elderly so they can live their years out with dignity. We give people unemployment to help them stay afloat while they find another job.

All of these things are possible because of taxes levied on one or more group(s) and redistributed to another group. it isn't a savings plan, it isn't an insurance plan, it is money taken from some to give to others in a non-equal way. You may pay in and never get back. That is socialism.

And it WORKS.

nerd said...

...you verbose toady.

That's excellent! I am so proud of you for exercising what intellect you have left to come up with a new insult. Brainstem was becomming extremely boring.

And, need I point out to you that the Social Security system is out of money because the "Social Security trust fund" has been raided by every administration to finance the day to day operations of the government? If it lasts beyond 2040, there will have to be draconian cuts made in payments to beneficiaries to keep it alive.

nerd said...

Oh, and thanks for proving my point for me.

And, on to Medicare:

From the American Academy of Actuaries on Medicare's financial condition.

This issue brief examines more closely the findings of the trustees’ report. The American Academy of Actuaries’ Medicare Steering Committee concludes that the Medicare program faces serious short-term and long-term financing problems. As highlighted in the 2008 Medicare trustees’ report:n The HI trust fund fails to meet the test of short-range financial adequacy because HI trust fund assets will fall below annual expenditures within the next 10 years. The HI trust fund also fails to meet the test of long-range actuarial balance. HI expenditures will ex-ceed HI non-interest income this year. By 2019, when trust fund assets are projected to be depleted, tax revenues would cover only 78 percent of program costs, and this share will decrease rapidly thereafter. The trust fund depletion date is projected to arrive slightly earlier in 2019 than was projected last year, due in part to slightly lower projected payroll tax income and slightly higher expenditures than previously estimated. The value in today’s dollars of the HI deficit over the next 75 years is $13 trillion. Eliminating this deficit would require an immediate 122 percent increase in payroll taxes or an immediate 51 percent reduction in benefits, or some combination of the two. Delaying action would require more drastic tax increases or benefit reductions. The SMI trust fund includes accounts for the Part B program, which covers physician and outpatient hospital costs, and for the Part D program, which covers the prescription drug benefit. The SMI trust fund is expected to remain solvent only because its financing is reset each year to meet projected future costs. Projected increases in SMI expenditures will require significant increases in beneficiary premiums and general revenue contributions over time.n Medicare’s demand on the federal budget, measured as the HI income shortfall and the general revenue contribution to SMI, is projected to increase rapidly. For the third year in a row, the difference between Medicare outlays and dedicated revenues exceeds 45 percent within the next seven years, thereby again triggering the Medicare funding warning. As a result, the next president must propose legislation to reduce this share within 15 days of the next budget submission. Congressional action is not guaranteed, however, and depending on what action, if any, is taken, other financing problems could remain. Medicare expenditures are also projected to increase rapidly as a share of GDP and of total federal revenues, thereby threatening Medicare’s long-term sustainability. The increasing costs of the Medicare program reflect the increasing costs of the health care system as a whole. Efforts to control spending in the Medicare program should be considered within the broader context of the entire health care system.

Sounds like successful socialism to me!

Stupid, selfish brainstems like you have been predicting the demise of Social Security since its inception.

Your assertions about SS and Medicare have convinced me that you are not very well-informed despite your ability to write long-winded posts.
