Ms. Coulter was rather entertaining in her weekly column. I couldn't agree more with her take on the forgotten "academics'" judging of presidential prowess:
Why we don't celebrate 'Historians Day'
Being gracious winners, this week, liberals howled with delight at George Bush for coming in seventh-to-last in a historians' ranking of the presidents from best to worst.
This was pretty shocking. Most liberals can't even name seven U.S. presidents.
Being ranked one of the worst presidents by "historians" is like being called "anti-American" by the Nation magazine. And by "historian," I mean a former member of the Weather Underground who is subsidized by the taxpayer to engage in left-wing political activism in a cushy university job.
So congratulations, George Bush! Whenever history professors rank you as one of the "worst" presidents, it's a good bet you were one of America's greatest.

IMO, 7th is way to high for G.W. Nitwit. Way too high!
I could care less about Dubya. But I did think it interesting where "they" placed JFK (who did nothing) and a few others.
As Anne suggests - they are rating the men according to their political views rather and accomplishments.
Such is the silly liberal way.

JFK did plenty. He got us engaged in a war in S.E. Asia, that was run by lawyers and not generals. A system that lasted for almost 15 years and cost the troops almost 60,000 lives. And that figure rises daily. BTW, the Democrats started our ground troop involvement there and a Republican ended it. A historically accurate fact lost on modern Dems.
He gave us the first last and only (bloodless) coup in our history.
Well said Steve. JFK was a spoiled rich kid surrounded by pimps. And if we were truly a nation of laws, he and his bootlegger father would have gone to prison, not the WH, for rigging one of the (if not THE) most corrupt elections this country has ever seen. (that's not counting Yomama's of course)
Putting preposterously overrated presidents like John F. Kennedy or FDR in the same category as Reagan or Washington is like a teenage girl ranking the Jonas Brothers with the Rolling Stones and the Beatles as the three greatest bands of all time.

Most people cry for justice and when they get it, they don't realize what a good thing they had to begin with. Does that line have any merit with the following? You be the judge.

3. The Bush daughters leave gift baskets in the White House bedrooms for the Obama daughters, containing flowers, candy, stuffed animals, DVD's and CD's, and heartfelt notes of encouragement and advice for the young girls on how to prepare for their new lives in the White House.

Clinton and Gore staffers rip computer wires and electrical outlets from the White House walls, stuff piles of notebook papers into the White House toilets, systematically remove the letter "W" from every computer key-pad in the entire White House, and damage several thousand dollars worth of furniture in the White House master bedroom.
