Is Sir R. Allen Stanford slepping with Luca Brasi?

.
The Securities and Exchange Commission charged Texas financier R. Allen Stanford with an $8 billion fraud, alleging in a civil complaint that he lured investors with promises of high returns on certificates of deposit but poured their money into a "black box" of hard-to-trade assets.

The second huge alleged fraud to emerge in three months -- following Ponzi-scheme charges against Bernard L. Madoff -- reverberated around the world, given Mr. Stanford's status as an international cricket sponsor, Washington political donor and private banker to Latin America's wealthy. Federal agents searched the Houston buildings that are home to his Stanford Financial Group, and customers lined up to withdraw money from a bank he owns in Antigua, the Caribbean island nation where Mr. Stanford's offshore banking operations are based.

.
FOX news and many national newspapers are reporting that Stanford was using his financial empire to help launder Caribbean drug money. Well, now he's missing.
.
The chances that he's learning to hold his breath, while swimming with concrete blocks tied to his ankles? Better than not. If you dance with the devil, expect to get scorched.

Sounds like a just reward for the insatiably greedy, assuming that's what's happened to him. More likely, he's grown a beard and he's sitting on some tropical beach, with a babe in each arm, sucking down one of those dumb, fancy drinks @ $20. a pop. Or, he may end up being served as lunch at a McDonalds somewhere. I believe this is the 3rd mega-scammer that's been uncovered in recent weeks.

We should start a pool here to see how many of these "super-crooks" there really are, assuming it's even possible to ascertain a true number. If three of them have been uncovered, you just know there are "lots" more! Oh, and although tempting, counting members of congress doesn't count. This time.

We are thank Democrats for;

* The Dow at a 10-year low.
* A tax cheat running the IRS
* Another tax cheat as the Chief of Staff
* A trillion-dollar plus federal deficit
* Over one-half of voters relieved of any federal tax liability
* Government mandated limits on executive compensation
* Three failed attempts and still no Commerce Secretary
* Tom Daschle rides his free limo into the sunset - after paying taxes he evaded.
* The White House performance czar turns out to be a tax cheat also
* Lobbyists hired to work for the Obama Administration
* The census gets politicized
* Double government spending in one year
* The word "freedom" fades into obscurity
* Increasing home loan mortgage rates across the board
* Millions of Americans made dependent on government
* Moving unionization-by-intimidation forward
* Welfare checks become "tax cuts."
* Illegal aliens free to work on taxpayer-funded "stimulus" projects
* Welfare reform reversed, states ordered to increase welfare roles
* Move to silence critical talk radio shows
* Selling Senate seats
* Obama books in religious sections of book stores
* More government workers, not private sector jobs
* A government bureaucracy to intrude on doctor/patient relationships
* Stage set for medical services rationing
* Annual welfare checks for middle income families

Obama books in religious sections of book stores

If Obama is a religeous figure, doesn't that violate the separation of church & state-when will the ACLU file to have him removed from office?
