Hey, i just noticed that Annie has put a lock on our door. I'm sure that'll upset some here, since a few folks apparently enjoyed the banter with "The L-Freak". This is a place where we're all free to voice our opinions, whether others agree with them or not. What we're not free to do (or shouldn't be free to do) is to spray personal insults around at everyone we disagree with. That's one of the things that separates us from the liberals.
I don't always log in to read the blog and never have had any trouble reading, maybe was it a glitch. It was Sunday morning maybe the blogging Gods were rebooting the blogospherical universe?
Jack and I are in SoCal this evening. Over his objections I brought along my laptop. He tells me that I'm foolish to get so upset over a blog. I cannot help it. II feel closer to you guys than I do to some of my own family. I have read some of the comments made by Baptist Pastor and have left the following comment at Tongue Tied:

I made the decision to temporarily close the site to anyone without a Google ID because of a threat to "destroy" the blog. I had given all of my guest authors administrative priviliges to change the design, configuration, permissions, etc. at will in the mistaken belief that everyone is honest and forthright. This decision, like our republic with its guarantee of free speech, contains the seeds of its own destruction.
I am a big girl and my readers are all big, grown-up adults. We can deal with insults and invective. I believe that the individual who made the threat to destroy our site does not believe in the notion of private property; but Annie's Inferno is my private property and I am entitled to take any legal action I choose in order to protect it.
Yes, the First Amendment guarantees us free speech; but the Fifth Amendment affirms my private property rights. Also, if the individual who made the threat against my siite made the same threat against a business, a school or a government institution he would be subject to arrest and prosecution for a crime. That crime is called making a terroristic threat.
Well said darlin! And Steve, you don't have to sign in to read the blog, only to post a comment. Personally, i don't see anything wrong with that, except for the fact that some low-life liberal pushed us into taking that action, and i don't like being pushed!
