actually Bush stopped the arrest of the illegal aunt in a show of bi-partisanship. Bush said that he did not want this issue to overshadow the election.
Just like when McCain told his supporters to not call BHO "Hussein" & not to make any references to BHO's muslim ties. McCain said he did not want the "Hussein" issue to overshadow the election.
Both Bush & McCain took the high ground on these issues.
Obama/Pelosi/Redd et. al, on the other hand slammed the republicans (especially Sarah) every chance they had - they took the low ground
