(CNSNews.com) – The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee has launched an online petition for readers to express their outrage at conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh for saying last week that he wanted President Barack Obama to fail. The petition includes a 19-second sound byte of Limbaugh, saying, “If I wanted Obama to succeed, I’d be happy the Republicans have laid down. I don’t want this to work. So I’m thinking of replying to this guy, say ‘okay, I’ll send you a response, but I don’t need 400 words, I need four: I hope he fails.’”
On Tuesday, in a note at the top of his Web site , Limbaugh responded to the Democrats' petition: "I am greatly puzzled. Why would the Democrats petition against me if I am doing such terrible damage to the GOP? "

I'm not a huge Limbaugh fan, (he's too full of himself) but I do find him greatly entertaining. He also has good insight due to his hard working research team. But love Rush or hate Rush - you must be absolutely sickened by the democrat's (and Hussein's) responses. If the democrat party doesn't want to hear Rush, all they have to do is turn off their radios. But that's not good enough! They want to regulate what EVERYONE listens to! If they don't want to hear Rush's message, they don't want anyone to hear it. Typical Nazi-like tactics for the liberal hate-machine.

Rush is free to say whatever he wants. Now he has to suffer the consequences of saying it, that's all.
His wish for the President to fail means more economic misery for lots of people.
One would think that the conservatives would be a little more humbled since it was their agenda that took us to the edge of ruin.

And the entire point of the Censorship Doctrine is that Rush would NOT be free to say what he wants. The Libs want nothing more than to shut him (and Hannity, and Levin, et.al.) down. Not because they disagree with them, but because they speak the truth.
If you disagree,then, just for starters, actually take a look at where the money in the Porkulus Package is going, and tell me how that is going to accomplish that which it is purported to. Rush and his compatriots are telling us where it's going. The Dems are not, precisely because they KNOW that it is NOT a "stimulus" package; it's nothing more than the biggest porkified spending bill in the history of the nation. It will create few, if any, new jobs. These are the things that Rush is telling his listeners, and the Libs don't like it.

I'm not sure that answering an annoying noise with intelligent argument is going to work.
I agree that Rush speaks some truth, but much of what he says is hyperbole and blather. It's 110% of the truth, it's embellished, it's done for effect. But he openly admits it!! He is, was and shall remain, an entertainer. His schtick is politics.
But this situation could be done to anyone.
Any of us could be taken out of context in this way. What the Dems left off, is the beginning of his tirade where Rush says President BOHICA wants to take us closer to being a Socialistic Country. If you add in that, it reads like a statement from any truly conservative person.

Fully reiterated it stands as a conservative thought, not an anti-American, anarchistic statement, which is what the Democrats want people to think he actually said.

Like Jimbo, i'm not a big Limbaugh fan. I think he's a buffoon with an out-of-control ego, (ala Fox's Bill O' Buffoon) who's only real interest is Limbaugh. Also, i've always been a bit curious as to why we never see him doing live, head-to-head debates with the far-Left's mouthpieces. But politically speaking, i do agree with most things he says because they're true.
Now that the half-breed is in the White House, (and i'll bet he's more shocked than we are) and the socialist lunatics have control of congress, i think we'll start to see a lot more of their true nature, which is to bully everyone who doesn't agree with them. Since he's the most visible target, it's no surprise they'd go after Rush first. Obviously, they're too smart to go after a Thomas Sowell.

President Obama has been rushed to Bethesda Hospital with persistent nose bleeds and hypoxia brought on by standing on the pedestal built by the brainless, fawning, press and the millions of his mindless followers.
He is not expected to survive long unless the doctors can perform a reality transplant. Unfortunately none of his followers appear to have any reality to transplant and the non-followers are refusing to give up their reality.
Thousands of Hollywood types are panic stricken that we will again have an aging white guy as president, even if he does have only half a brain. Barbara Streisand was heard to say that half a brain was far too much for her to handle.
Grief councilors will be on hand for those having heart palpitations or momentary glimpses of reality.

The republicans were able to stop the TV bill because it required a 2/3 vote for passage. The vote was 258-168.
The TV bill will be back next week and will easily pass after they change the rule so that a simple majority will pass it.
It's good to be in charge.
In the meantime, you go ahead and celebrate your republican victory over a TV set!
