Obama’s Bill Hands ACORN $5.2 Billion Bailout

Click here for the "Neighborhood Stabilization Program". Maybe Acorn can buy a few more smokes and afford a few more bribes for 5.2 billion.

Just imagine all the things we're not being told about! Do you hear or see any outrage from the people? Are there protests in the streets? Have the lying crooks in congress been swamped with letters and calls? Apparently the people deserve this, and what's to come.

Record-low high temperatures set on Kauai, Maui

Advertiser Staff

It didn't get very warm over parts of the island chain yesterday.

A stalled cold front over Maui County yesterday resulted in record-low high temperatures being tied on Maui and Kauai, the National Weather Service said.

The high temperature yesterday in Kahului, Maui, was just 72 degrees, tying the record for coolest high temperature for the date last set in 1975.

Meanwhile, yesterday's high temperature in Lihue, Kauai, was a mere 73 degrees, tying the record for the coolest high temperature for the date last set in 1998.

Damn it where is your sense of bipartisanship. Someone has to be the one to bend over and someone has to be the one to stick it to the other. See, its a partnership.

ACORN is never mentioned in the stimulus bill.

Only brainstems think that.

ACORN is a very worthy organization, more worthy than the "faith-based crap you people funded for years to try and convince young people to have anal and oral sex so they could preserve their virginity with "abstinence".

From the NY Post:

A line item in the stimulus package - under the heading "neighborhood stabilization activities" - sets aside $4.19 billion for low-income advocacy groups such as ACORN.

You're correct that the stimulue package does not mention ACORN by name, but they are the largest such community organization in existence and if you believe that they will not recieve the lion's share of the funds in the set-aside, you are either naive or dishonest.

From ACORN's website:

Call and email your Senators and urge them to support the “American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009”, which provides jobs for millions of Americans and provides much needed aid to low- and moderate-income communities. If your Senator says he/she supports the jobs and economic recovery bill, thank him/her for their support.

Those are laudable goals, but ACORN is no different than the Republican Party or any other political group. They seek funds in order to retain and expand their power. Their power lies in the poor and minority neighborhoods of large cities and they certianly know how to play to the crowd in those neighborhoods by disrupting foreclosure sales or fraudently registering voters.

Like I said, ACORN is not mentioned though they certainly deserve the money as much as anyone else. That the money could go to organizations likeACORN is vague at best.

This little drama you brainstems have dreamed up about ACORN as some front for voter fraud is total fantasy. Like most conservative beliefs it is born of ignorance and a distaste for the poor who ACORN represents. It's more legitimate than the republican party these days. LOL

But, I guess it gives you people something to do now that your ideas are in the toilet and your party is totally out of power.

No, it is not a fantasy, as borne out by the arrest and subsequent testimony of a former ACORN voter registration worker in Philladelphia.

As I expected, your reply consisted of more idiotic insults and was utterly devoid of any value. You are hardly worth the miniscule amount of time it takes me to find resources to sweep your inane arguments away.

Yeah, brainstem, plenty of RNC members have been arrested, some for voter fraud. I guess that makes the RNC a criminal enterprise. (Not that it isn't.)

People who try and generalize that they can swepp all arugments aside usually can't. This is one of those cases.

If you people had ANYTHING going for you, you wouldn't be relegated to bitching on a blog because YOU HAVE NO POLITICAL POWER WHATSOEVER now that your party caused the biggest financial meltdown in HISTORY.

Just as I expected, more Über-Childish insults, immature behavior and sweeping generalizations from someone with nothing to say. The topic under discussion is Dachle's income tax evasion. Never did I say that there were not Republicans who committed the same offenses. A little touchy, are you? As I said, if that's the best you have to offer, you're hardly worth the effort to refute your long ago failed and discredited political philosophy.

And, I doubt that given your all too evident concrete operational level of cognitive development, low level of intelligence and education you are even able to look up a definition of your favorite insult, brainstem on Google.

And, by the way, I never stated that Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Rove, Paulson, Libby & company were not responsible for the finincial crisis that we now find ourselves in. Oh, yeah, they had a mild impetus from Bill Clinton. And, yeah, Barney Frank and Chris Dodd made their money, but Bush and his mob took the ignorance of esoteric financial instruments, disinterest in economic policy and dogmatic, doctrinaire adherence to marketplace non-intervention to new heights of idiocy.
