democrats!!!!!!!!!

raise my pay, please

the democrats in full control of the house & senate , raise their own pay

I'm sure HLF is in favor of this, while Warren Buffet would oppose it
do Nancy Pelosi & Harry Reid deserve more money??

I have no problem with it. Though the republicans deserve a pay cut for their neglect and mismanagement of the country.

I think it's funny to see you brainstems whine about Pelosi and Reid. As if the republicans they replaced were better.

Dentists! I went to my dentist with a sore tooth and after a series of digital then film x-rays, poking, prodding, air blowing, and rinsing it was determined that nothing wrong could be found except a little receding gum and guessing it was just very sensitive so it was laminated with some bad tasting stuff and given Sensodine and told to come back in a week saying if its better then we are on the right track and if its worse there is a bad root somewhere that just is not bad enough to show up on x-ray yet.

Anonymous said...

You'll end up paying triple for the problem. The dentist will keep you coming back to milk you of more cash. They know they can get away with that when you're in discomfort.

Next time don't go to a republican dentist.

The only thing the Demoncrats deserve is to be dangling from the end of a rope for all the destruction they've brought on this country. And while we're at it, hang all liberals!

Missy, did he put you to sleep, and if so, did you want a cigarette afterwards? Remember, more vists = more $$$!

Democrats were out of power for most of the last 30 years, definitely for the last 8.

Republicans suffered at the ballot box in the last 2 major elections and the majority hate them. Expect that hate to increase as we demonize them.

He could have done a root canal and the tooth would feel fine, and he would have made a lot more money just as the liberal dentists I've worked for in the past often did. He treated you in a kind, non-invasive manner and will end up with less cash and sleep better at night. Go to HLF's unlicensed, socialist dentist. They won't perform the root canal if necessary, but extract your tooth as being most cost-effective.

why not when the majority learned they could vote bread and circuses.

"Grammie" or whatever name he wants to call me!! said...

Why don't they all volunteer? It would be a good way to limit their terms.

A measure of HLF's intelligence places it squarely between that of a ashtray and a pickle jar.

What a horrible time to do somthing like this. Americans are losing their jobs, the federal government is putting itself into hock, and everyone is feeling the pinch of our worsening economy.

And they do what?

Vote themselves a pya raise? If this isn't them basically sticking it in and flipping us lowly nobodies the bird, I cannot fathom what is.

WOW my 600rds of PCM ammo in .223 came in yesterday from Cabelas. Came in a real nice and large heavy plastic 'dry box'. Sweeeet.

$232 incl tax and shipping. Not bad at all and it is still listed as 'back ordered' on their site? Wunner whats up with that.

Careful HLF. I wouldn't get withing about 600 yards of me if I were you. And I don't care if you ARE a ChickiePoo, I'd still drop a cap in yer ass cause you're old, fat, liberal and hairy.

Really HLF? What the dentist did today counts basically as an exam, of which my insurance pays 100%. To make sure I did not lose out on a check-up he checked all of my teeth because my insurance only allows for 2 exams per year and I had a check-up in June. He also only charged for 1 set of x-rays because it was his choice to do the film x-rays just to be sure that he did not miss anything on the digitals, which apparently have issues with shadowing. He saw zero decay and saw no reason to drill out my root and cost me out-of-pocket money when he could not see anything wrong to merit such a treatment. While its frustrating to "maybe" be cured, its certainly better than randomly drilling out roots to make sure he got the right one as it could have been 1 of 2 teeth as the sensitive part is such that it can be 1 of 2 teeth. Oh and by the way - my dentist IS a republican and a legal immigrant who made it on his own and now takes 1 day a month to provide free dentistry for less fortunate not because the government tells him or makes him do it but because he believes in personal charity (you know what democrats do not do with their own money but try to force others to do through taxes).

Missy said...

Oh yea and he sponsors a Little League team as well. Not bad for a man old enough to be my grandfather and with one of the worst wigs ever.

Well Missy, all I gotta say is if there's gonna be any drilling going on on you, hea I iz, ready hea wit ma drill right hea in ma hand. Ready to drill you ALL OVER.

And no Novicane fer you hunny.

"However, at 2.8 percent, the automatic raise that lawmakers receive is only half as large as the 2009 cost of living adjustment of Social Security recipients."

Yeah, but the difference is in scope. A 5% raise on $1200 or $1300 per month is harder to stretch than a $4700 raise on a $100K plus salary.

It is now closer to reality than you think. You're sound asleep when you hear a thump outside your bedroom door. Half-awake, and nearly paralyzed with fear, you hear muffled whispers. At least two people have broken into your house and are moving your way. With your heart pumping, you reach down beside your bed and pick up your shotgun. You rack a shell into the chamber, then inch toward the door and open it. In the darkness, you make out two shadows.

One holds something that looks like a crowbar. When the intruder brandishes it as if to strike, you raise the shotgun and fire. The blast knocks both thugs to the floor. One writhes and screams while the second man crawls to the front door and lurches outside. As you pick up the telephone to call police, you know you're in trouble.

In your country, most guns were outlawed years before, and the few That are privately owned are so stringently regulated as to make them useless. Yours was never registered. Police arrive and inform you that the second burglar has died. They arrest you for First Degree Murder and Illegal Possession of a Firearm. When you talk to your attorney, he tells you not to worry: authorities will probably plea the case down to manslaughter.

"What kind of sentence will I get?" you ask.

"Only ten-to-twelve years," he replies, as if that's nothing. "Behave yourself, and you'll be out in seven."

The next day, the shooting is the lead story in the local newspaper. Somehow, you're portrayed as an eccentric vigilante while the two men you shot are represented as choirboys. Their friends and relatives can't find an unkind word to say about them. Buried deep down in the article, authorities acknowledge that both "victims" have been arrested numerous times. But the next day's headline says it all: "Lovable Rogue Son Didn't Deserve to Die." The thieves have been transformed from career criminals into Robin Hood-type pranksters. As the days wear on, the story takes wings. The national media picks it up, then the international media. The surviving burglar has become a folk hero.

Your attorney says the thief is preparing to sue you, and he'll probably win. The media publishes reports that your home has been burglarized several times in the past and that you've been critical of local police for their lack of effort in apprehending the suspects. After the last break-in, you told your neighbor that you would be prepared next time. The District Attorney uses this to allege that you were lying in wait for the burglars.

A few months later, you go to trial. The charges haven't been reduced, as your lawyer had so confidently predicted. When you take the stand, your anger at the injustice of it all works against you. Prosecutors paint a picture of you as a mean, vengeful man. It doesn't take long for the jury to convict you of all charges.

The judge sentences you to life in prison.

This case really happened.

On August 22, 1999, Tony Martin of Emneth, Norfolk , England , killed one burglar and wounded a second. In April, 2000, he was convicted and is now serving a life term.

How did it become a crime to defend one's own life in the once great British Empire ?

It started with the Pistols Act of 1903. This seemingly reasonable law forbade selling pistols to minors or felons and established that handgun sales were to be made only to those who had a license. The Firearms Act of 1920 expanded licensing to include not only handguns but all firearms except shotguns.

Later laws passed in 1953 and 1967 outlawed the carrying of any weapon by private citizens and mandated the registration of all shotguns.

Momentum for total handgun confiscation began in earnest after the Hungerford mass shooting in 1987. Michael Ryan, a mentally disturbed Man with a Kalashnikov rifle, walked down the streets shooting everyone he saw. When the smoke cleared, 17 people were dead.

The British public, already de-sensitized by eighty years of "gun control", demanded even tougher restrictions. (The seizure of all privately owned handguns was the objective even though Ryan used a rifle.)

Nine years later, at Dunblane , Scotland , Thomas Hamilton used a semi-automatic weapon to murder 16 children and a teacher at a public school.

For many years, the media had portrayed all gun owners as mentally unstable or worse, criminals. Now the press had a real kook with which to beat up law-abiding gun owners. Day after day, week after week, the media gave up all pretense of objectivity and demanded a total ban on all handguns. The Dunblane Inquiry, a few months later, Sealed the fate of the few sidearm still owned by private citizens.

During the years in which the British government incrementally took away most gun rights, the notion that a citizen had the right to armed self-defense came to be seen as vigilantism. Authorities refused to grant gun licenses to people who were threatened, claiming that self-defense was no longer considered a reason to own a gun. Citizens who shot burglars or robbers or rapists were charged while the real criminals were released.

Indeed, after the Martin shooting, a police spokesman was quoted as saying, "We cannot have people take the law into their own hands."

All of Martin's neighbors had been robbed numerous times, and several elderly people were severely injured in beatings by young thugs who had no fear of the consequences. Martin himself, a collector of antiques, had seen most of his collection trashed or stolen by burglars.

When the Dunblane Inquiry ended, citizens who owned handguns were given three months to turn them over to local authorities. Being good British subjects, most people obeyed the law. The few who didn't were visited by police and threatened with ten-year prison sentences if they didn't comply. Police later bragged that they'd taken nearly 200,000 handguns from private citizens.

How did the authorities know who had handguns? The guns had been registered and licensed. Kinda like cars.

Sound familiar?

Missy, if you didn't have insurance he would have told you to take an aspirin and pull the toothe with a pliers.

And why do you have insurance? Because liberals created policies making it affordable or provided through your employer.

Anonymous said...

Why then was it more affordable before the liberal gov't stepped in? because lawyers, politicians, insurance companies, and myriad beaurocrats have to dig into your pockets under the guise of helping people out. They create ridiculous guidelines and regulations which don't pertain to treatment, but cost money again under a cover of "job creation".

You are an idiot and it's obvious that an abcessed tooth rotted the few neurons you once may have had.

Man, get your head out of your ass.

EEK, Missy!

I had a gum recession problem back a number of years ago. The periodontist slit the gums, upper and lower, inside and out and replaced them at a lower level. They wanted to give me an IV of Demerol and Vallium, but I opted out due to my ignorance.

Missy said...

Well Annie I dont think I am at that point. Maybe at most scaling and planing again, which as SRK can tell you is about as close to medieval torture as you can get and the next few days your roots are so senstive that room temp water feels like your gums are being stabbed with icicles. As for HLF ... did you ignore the part of my dentist doing free dental work 1 day a month for less fortunate? Oh and speaking for liberal dental crap .. my former oral surgeon (who is in his 70's) is in federal prison for medcaid fraud because, in error, he used the wrong anesthesia code costing Medicaid a wopping $500.00 over 3 or 4 years and costing him 2 years in prison.

Missy said...

Oh and Poots, dear dear Poots, the dentist said there was nothing to drill.

Annie said...

Oh My God, Missy...

My sympathies. Any dentist who accepts Medicaid reimbursement must be really hungry or really want to make a contribution to society. Sorry about your former oral surgeon.

I worked as a VP for a proprietary hospital company headquartered in the thriving metropolis of Mechanichsburg, PA once upon a time. Bright and early one morning the FBI showed up at 12 of our West coast hospitals at the same time, wanting to see the CEO, CFO or the business office manager. They confiscated records and only one guy was prosecuted, the director of an outpatient facility in Contra Costa County, CA., even though the Chairman, President and the senior executive VP of hospital ops [my boss] were forced out of the company and had to pay fines totaling $50 million to the feds. The poor schlub in California was the only one to go to Club Fed.

Annie said...

Oh, and...

The board members and the senior management all had names that ended in a vowel that you pronounce and their meetings looked like a meeting of the Five Families. The chairman, president and the president of the company who built all 35 of our hospitals were related [father and sons]. When you have guys with names like Ortenzio [Rocco, Bobby and Marty] Tony Misitano [my boss] and Jerry Belfiglio [VP of finance], aint no mistaning where the money comes from.

sc/rp is done under local anesthetic and is virtually pain-free in my office. so is osseous surgery with well designed and performed performed flaps. Never have more than 1 or 2 quadrants done per visit. periodontal work is not covered by any government entity, by the way.

grafting procedures, on the other hand, are often painful and the results vary greatly.

However, I guarantee that if HLF was ever to enter my office, I'd kick him out. I can refuse anyone I so desire.

And he only gos to his "special friend" anyway.

Anonymous said...

HLF you really are very stupud. The Dems are the problem. They are running the country you asshat. See you 2012!

Missy said...

SRK I am almost tempted to have you do scaling and planing just to see HOW pain free it is. My first dentist did 1 quadrant at a time with local and while it was pain free for the most part, when they really jabbed in there with the sound generator it felt like I was being stabbed. A different dentist only used the topical gel and did my whole mouth.. which was considerably more painful during the procedure but it was nice to be over and done with in 1 visit (well 2 as he did a "clean-up" visit in a couple of weeks) and no lingering numbness.

As we age, we tend to end up seeing more of the medical establishment.
For example, my internist referred me to a female urologist.
I saw her yesterday and she is gorgeous. She's beautiful and unbelievably sexy.
She told me that I have to stop masturbating.
When I asked her why, she said, 'Because I'm trying to examine you...'

Poots, that is a true story, and probably one that will happen here.
