Gov. Rod Blagojevich arrested, charged

U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald said today that federal authorities arrested Democratic Gov. Rod Blagojevich today because the governor went on "a political corruption crime spree" that needed to be stopped.
Fitzgerald said secret tape recordings showed Blagojevich was attempting "to sell the U.S. Senate seat" that President-elect Barack Obama recently vacated. The governor has the sole power to pick Obama's replacement under the state constitution.
"The conduct would make Lincoln roll over in his grave," Fitzgerald said, quoting Blagojevich as saying the Senate seat is "a bleeping valuable thing. You just don't give it away....I've got this thing and it's bleeping golden."

He went to a gym to work out as he does most mornings but canceled a previously scheduled FBI briefing and, instead, headed to his transition office next door to the federal courthouse. He stayed there and mostly out of sight until a midday meeting with former Vice President Al Gore on environmental and energy issues. That was supposed to be the news of the day out of the Obama office but the president-elect found himself peppered with questions about Blagojevich when reporters entered the Gore meeting for a photo op.
Well, OF COURSE he cancelled a briefing with the goons who busted his partner.
Chalk up "another one under the bus" in a long, long list of tread-marked bodies.

And, here I was thinking that Nevada had the most corrupt government officials in the US of A. Example: Four former Clark County [Las Vegas] commissioners, Lance Malone, Dario Herrera, Mary Kincaid-Chauncey and Erin Kinney are doing time at ClubFed for fraud. And, guess what was at issue in the fraud? A T***Y BAR!...or more speciffically a county ordinance prohibiting customers of breast bars from touching the dancers and vice versa. In the trial, Michael Galardi, the former owner of the Crazy Horse Too alleged that Commissioner Erin Kinney had performed a Monica Lewinsky on him in the bathroom of the bar.
But wait! It gets better. The very weekend Galardi was released from the hoosegow, Buffalo Jim Berrier, a former pro rassler and the owner of an electrical shop was found dead of a drug overdose in a Motel 6 on the Boulder Highway [not a great neighborhood]. Why is this important, you ask? Seems like Buffalo Jim and Galardi's club shared a parking lot and Berrier had been a thorn in Glardi's side for years, filing a few lawsuits against him.
But wait! It gets even better. The IRS siezed the bar for back taxes and is now attempting to get a liquor license SO THE GOVERNMENT CAN OPERATE A T***Y BAR!
