Were there other "black" presidents? Some historians have reason to believe people don't really understand the genealogy of past U.S. Presidents. Research shows at least five U.S. presidents had black ancestors and Thomas Jefferson, the nation's third president, was considered the first black president, according to historian Leroy Vaughn, author of Black People and Their Place in World History.
Vaughn's research shows Jefferson was not the only former black U.S. president. Who were the others? Andrew Jackson, Abraham Lincoln, Warren Harding and Calvin Coolidge. But why was this unknown? How were they elected president? All five of these presidents never acknowledged their black ancestry.
Jefferson, who served two terms between 1801 and 1809, was described as the "son of a half-breed Indian squaw and a Virginia mulatto father," as stated in Vaughn's findings. Jefferson also was said to have destroyed all documentation attached to his mother, even going to extremes to seize letters written by his mother to other people.

Lest anyone think that he is going to waltz into Israel's neighborhood and provide aid to nations, movements, juntas or regimes that the Israeli government deems hostile to its national interests, he has another think coming.
This is the same Marxist, racist, anti-White former congresswoman who assaulted a Capital Hill Police Officer, then (as usual) called him a racist! Now she's a terrorist supporter? The Isreali's should've sunk the boat then issued the warning.

None taken, my dear. I have come to realize that I cannot condemn behavior in others without first taking into account my own behavior. About this time each year I set down on paper what actions I have taken...words I have spoken and written that have hurt another person. It's amazing the mental and emotional clarity I get by looking at my part in events that bother me...people who say things that make me angry. I consider the possibility that maybe I am wrong in my beliefs and this is the cause of my anger. This year, I have decided to engage in some intense introspection of my political, philosophical and social beliefs. I seem to not only be out of step with most of the people in the country; I seem to be out of step with some of the political and social beliefs of my dear friends who post here.
If I drank, I would go to the kitchen right now and pour myself an ice cold, double Bombay Sapphire martini or about four fingers of Jack Daniels to ease some of the psychic pain I am feeling. It's really hell when one has no chemical screen to put between one's self and hard, cold, merciless reality...to be forced to face life on life's terms.
Oh, hell, it's late and I should not be engaging in my egocentric megalomania at a public level. Perhaps I shall feel better come the morrow.

I have a hard time believing that she could possibly have been surprised by this.
She was entering a war zone, carrying supplies that could easily be construed as aid and comfort, and the "other side" didn't want that to happen.
Any person who has a decent grasp on history understands that any ship or vessel carrying supplies or the opposing side becomes fair game. The sinking of the Lusitania, which was one of the catalysts that (unfortunatley) brought the United States into the First World War, was just such an instance.
Supply ships were regularly being attacked and sunk by the far superior German Unterseeboots, and so some mental giant decided to start shipping aid and comfort via passenger liners, in an effort to camoflauge valid military targets with non-comabtant civilians. German intelligence learned of this; left with no other choice, they sunk the next one that came along that was rumored to have supplies on board.
After 70 years or so, it was finally admitted that:
1.) The Lusitania was, indeed, carrying munitions and supplies to Britain;
2.) It was, indeed, a valid war target, and its sinking was not an act of unbridled aggression, but a terrible inevitability as soon as the decision was made to carry valid military targets along with civilian non-targets.
Welcome to reality, I say to all aboard who were surprised, and I recommend a quick glance at any decent grade school history text prior to making your next escapade. You are lucky as hell that you were not blown out of the water, and into oblivion.
If, as you say (and I am certain was the case) all you carried was humanitarian aid, then i recommend that next time, you let the Israelis know your intentions, allow them to inspect the vessel, and then, and only then, enter with their permission.

"The boat came very close, we called the ship to basically to turn around, we informed the ship that they wouldn’t be allowed to enter Gaza,”
Stupid is as stupid does.
I have a very large member. I suspect I might have some geneology issues, but my wife is telling me to get off the computer for some....
She's SO outnumbered by the number of republicans removed and/or imprisoned in the last few years!
PS> Moonbattery is a full on nutjob site. Any deviation from full-blown nutjobbery and you are banned.

Isn't Cynthia McKinney the ex-Georgia representative who attacked a Capitol security guard when he asked to see her ID?

Thanks, Hornet...
I shall go leave a message.
Moonbattery even deletes normal posts from liberals.
They know their whack job threads can't survive the scrutiny. Mkes this site look like a meeting of the minds.
No offense, Annie. Really.

Sorry to hear about your struggles. Perhaps it is simply the new year and holidays weighing on your psyche. I get that.

One in the same darlin. And Poots told me that a Moonbattery is actually some kind of new vibrator.

Amazingly, I keep hearing about the Isreali "attacks", but nothing about the 3000 rockets that have hit Israel, launched out of Gaza this year.
That's roughly one every 3 hours, every day, every week, every month, all year long.
That, to me, is a retaliation, not an attack.
Sorry to hear about your struggles. Perhaps it is simply the new year and holidays weighing on your psyche. I get that.
Thank you, my dear. I'm sure my "poor little Annie" mood will pass soon.
