There are glimmers of hope.

Indicted Democrat ousted by Louisiana voters

NEW ORLEANS - In a year when national Republican fortunes took a turn for the worse, Louisiana delivered the GOP two seats in Congress in elections delayed by Hurricane Gustav.

Indicted Democratic U.S. Rep. William Jefferson was ousted Saturday from his New Orleans area district, while Republicans narrowly held on to the seat vacated by a retiring incumbent.

The wins followed Republicans' reconquest of another House seat earlier this fall that had been lost to Democrats.

This is good news, the kind of which we don't hear enough of, but it is good.

C-Bug – dear darling – I wouldn’t even call it a glimmer. Perhaps a lingering refection of things past? W. Jefferson got caught with his pants around his crooked ankles and the MSM (the Obamunist controlling faction) have not even given it 15 seconds of air. The dumb, silly bastards obviously consider thousands of dollars of bribe money “earned reparations”.

Face it; we’re screwed. Buy bullets while you can.

This can't be! It's not possible! I don't believe it! Another lying crooked Democrat? HLF said only Republicans do this kind of stuff. I guess that makes him a liar, an idiot, a fool, or all of the above. (ie: a liberal)

Celebrate your hollow victory Jimbo et al. Wasn't even a victory. But those are hard to come by in your world lately, aren't they?

Do you want me to fill this blog with republican scandals? Did you all forget why you lost Congress in 2006? Let me remind you: Jack Abramoff, Tom DeLay, Bob Ney, etc etc etc.

There's crooks of all persuasions. But liberals
still think of white collar crime as a vice. Conservatives see it as a virtue as long as you made money committing it.

I'll enjoy seeing you people squirm for the next 8 years.

BY ABDON M. PALLASCH Political Reporter
As gun sales shoot up around the country, President-elect Barack Obama said Sunday that gun-owning Americans do not need to rush out and stock up before he is sworn in next month.

"I believe in common-sense gun safety laws, and I believe in the second amendment," Obama said at a news conference. "Lawful gun owners have nothing to fear. I said that throughout the campaign. I haven't indicated anything different during the transition. I think people can take me at my word."

WHEW! I FEEL SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH BETTER NOW.

So much better that I just placed an order for ANOTHER 1000 rounds of 55 grain FMJs in .223

Anonymous said...

And I bought 3 More 30 rounder mags for my AR and 3 more 13 rounders for my Glock.

Next, a boat load of 00 Buck mag and a bunch of 230gr ball .45 and some more of my hot hot hot (1,150 fps) Hi Shocks in .45 as well.

O, and a cheap red dot for the 12GA. I'll try it on the AR first and then go out and get a good one for it.

I worked at a Claude Hall gun show in LV a couple of weeks ago for a friend of mine who teaches a combined Aikido & defensive handgun class as well as private CCW classes. The ammo vendors were doing a land office business. I sold a Sig P220 .45 ACP and bought a S & W Model 60 .38 Special and a Charter Arms .44 Bullpup with a 2" barrel.

I seriously doubt that our new president is going to make the Second Amendment a priority for the foreseeable future with two wars going on and the worst economy since the Depression. In any case, Jack bought 1,000 rounds each of .223 and .308 ammo. The .308 is a desert camo DPMS built on an AR platform with a flat-top reciever, a Picatinny rail and a camo scope. Looks very cool! You can reach out [about 400 yards] and touch someone with it. There's a guy at The Gun Store here who's always trying to sell us a Barrett .50 for $8,500 with about an additional $3,000 worth of optics. Very cool, but impractcal.

And expensive to shoot.

I'm jealous of the DPMS in .308. I was looking for the same thing but they've all dryed up already.

All I know is I can't wait to get my stimulus check cause I goin be spending it in a 2nd amendment frame of mind.

You may be rite but I don't trust that Muslim SOB. I think once he's in he's going Manchurian

I don't think Obama will make a frontal assault on the 2nd amendment, but will accomplish much thru taxation on ammo as well as weapons.
Abe Lincoln said in his Gettysburg address that this nation needed a new birth of freedom. I think we need another new birth of freedom today.

I read an article about that, Blue. I hope that everyone survived.

Poots, that may be what Yomama Bahama said for the cameras, but his "very short" political record, both in ChiTown and DC, shows that he not only supported, but advocated a total gun ban! He also advocated a 500% tax on guns and ammo. Once again, don't listen to what he says, watch what he does!

Anonymous said...

Spidie,

He cannot further his Marxist Muslim take over till he try's to disarm us. After refreshing myself at the gunshow on Sunday I am invigorated with the knowledge that he can't do that. Even if the entire US Army and police adn CIA and FBI was to comply with his populous enslavement plans, they are out gunned 50 to 1 by us.It would only take 25 to 1 to overcome any and all government forces leaving about 25 million armed and pissed off survivors to clean the rats out of the Halls of Power.

Viva!

auggie, I mean HLF, will send his hordes of purse swinging barbra barians to overwhelm those forces

I've been saying this for years. Not to mention the unlawful order scenario of POTUS telling our military to fire on U.S. citizens.

Can you say coup?

ABC NEWS BANS FLAG LAPEL PINS

This is true and even though I will have little effect on ABC News revenue I do plan on being careful to not view any program that is on ABC and boycott, if at all possible, the sponsors of ABC. Barbara Walters said that this was going to hurt ABC bad. As you know she works for ABC.

This should make your blood boil...it DOES mine!

ABC news bans flag lapel pins!

Yesterday the brass at ABC news issued orders forbidding reporters to wear lapel pin American flags or other patriotic insignia. Their reasoning was that ABC should remain neutral about 'causes'.

Since when is support for preventing death and destruction some sort of a 'cause'? Since when is patriotism to be discouraged?

I urge you to boycott ABC and its sponsors and affiliates. We are slowly losing everything our country stands for and everything our men and women fought and died to preserve!

Anonymous said...

Of course that flag pin thing happened in 2001 but since conservatives live in a constant state of paranoid outrage, it's still making the rounds, especially now that a Muslim, non-American born negro is going to be the President.

Sheesh.

And you just know that's a big, steaming load of liberalism too. They'll reverse that in a big ol' hurry for the right liberal "cause".
And I would love to know how, exssenetially, saying, "I like America," qualifies as a 'cause'.

Anonymous said...

OK---"essentially".
There, that's better.

This is simply the media's way of showing the new Marxist president and his commie congress that they're "onboard".

Maybe it's time we turned art into life and made the movie Red Dawn a reality! Or, we could wait for the movie Escape from NY to become a reality.

"O, and a cheap red dot for the 12GA. I'll try it on the AR first and then go out and get a good one for it."

Snorpth,
don't you think it would be best to leave sights that require special batteries off of your gun?

I know I am not interested in having my battery run out with poor timing, and also concerned with the availability of such batteries if the supply becomes clogged up by something or other.

Just learn to shoot weith iron sights or non-battery telescopic sights. That way, you have one less thing to worry about, and one less thing to maintain.

And, as far as Obama's promise, he is a politician. They can't even define the word "is" for christs sake.

With what he just ssaid, he could vote for a tax increase of 500% on components, and then claim that he "never denied the right to purchase arms" just like he promised.

Forget him, and forget every crooked dirty SOB politician in Washington. I'll believe them when they give me a reason to believe them. Right now, I have no such confidence.

GooBAr,

It's shot gun w/a 18.5" barrel. It has NO sites. I'm just

As for the AR, I'm an engineer. It will have serviceable batteries at all times. Besides, I have a picitinny rear iron site (by GGG check'm out) that lays down outta the way and a front site that is out of the way of a red dot.
