NEW YORK — Police were reviewing video from surveillance cameras in an attempt to identify people who trampled on a Wal-Mart worker killed when a crowd of post-Thanksgiving shoppers burst through the doors at a suburban store and knocked him down.
Criminal charges were still possible, but identifying anyone in the store's videos may prove difficult, said Nassau County police spokesman Detective Lt. Michael Fleming on Friday.

It's just a shame that people were too interested in themselves and some did not realize this happened. It's sadder still that they complained when cops closed the store to investigate the death.

Birmingham Mayor Larry Langford was arrested this morning on federal charges and is being held at the federal courthouse, the FBI and other federal officials confirm.

A special grand jury for several months has been investigating county bond deals and Langford's financial dealings. Langford was Jefferson County Commission president 2002-06.

I saw an article in today's paper saying that the victim "had no experience in crowd control" and was placed at the doors "because of his bulk [6'-4', 270#]."
I suppose this means that he was responsible for his own death.
