RNC Rivals Discuss Racial Song

Republicans who are vying to lead the national party offered a mix of reactions yesterday to the decision by one candidate for the job to mail out a music CD including the song Barack the Magic Negro. Chip Saltsman defended his actions, telling the Hill newspaper that the song -- and others on the CD, which was mailed to party members -- was nothing more than a lighthearted parody. But his rivals in the contest to chair the Republican National Committee said it carried an inaccurate message about what the GOP stands for. "In my opinion, this isn't funny and it's in bad taste," said Michigan GOP chairman Saul Azunis. "Just as important, anything that paints the GOP as being motivated in our criticism of President-elect Obama by anything other than a difference in philosophy does a disservice to our party."

I'm going back to my philosophical home, the lunatic fringe Libertarian Party.

The Republicans, still afraid to play the game by the same rules the Demoncrats/Left/MSM use, had better get used to being out of power. When you're the only team on the field playing by the rules, the outcome is predictable.

Again with the victimhood song.

Do conservatives have any other?

Well God forbid that anyone have a sense of humor over ANYTHING.

HLT,
you're overplaying your part. Too strident, too typical. Dial it back. Accusing anyone of victimhood is over the top.

This very story is about the victimhood of brown skinned people being made fun of by rich white guys. Or are you now just mining for hate and discontent?

It's old.

A real liberal would cry once in a while, you never do.

int eh movie Blazing sadles, when soon-to-be sheffif Bart & his fellow blacks sing "Da Camptown Races" is funny - blacks making fun of whites.
This movie came out in the 70's & no one ever called that scene politically incorrect..

but if whites make fun of blacks we are nothing but racist pigs....

Spider's post was whining with victimhood. "When you're the only team...playing by the rules" yada yada.

Personally, I don't find the story or the CD offensive.

I was wondering when they would start harping on this song. It is of little consequence and quite frankly being used by a bunch of RINO's to further their agenda like... well like a democrat (i.e. Al Franken) Republicans biggest problem is the stand back licking themselves instead of stealing elections, making up natural disasters and handing out programs to people who refuse to help them selves. To me conservatives are only slightly more horoable than Democrats and if it wasn't for Reagan there would be 0 distinction. I like this man that sent out this CD.
